IINTRODUCTIONNSTALLATIONThe UX 00The UX600 offers a choice of 7 frequencies selectable though an easy to changeDIP switch. The frequency is PLL (Phase-Locked-Loop) synthesized for rock-solidhigh-quality reception.Connect the adapter to the back of the unit and then turn on the unit byswitching the On/Off switch on the back to the On position.6 is a FM Announcement System intended to allow you to transmit a pre-recorded message stored in its non-volatile memory (up to 4 minutes long) overthe FM band for reception through any standard FM radio. It is a truly plug-and-play system and is very easy to operate. Once you have recorded a message, thedevice will start broadcasting it repeatedly on the pre-selected frequency. Themessage can be recorded via either an external Microphone or a Line Input fromanother audio source.Record a message describing the property for saleand inform all potential prospects 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply post thetransmitting frequency on your "For Sale" sign and prospective buyers will be ableto listen to your message right on the car's radio when near the property.Record messages describing various touristsites on multiple UX600s and place a unit at each site. Tourists will be able to tunein their car radios to the advertised frequency and to the information about eachparticular site.Record a messagedescribing your daily specials, menus, products or other information forcustomers to tune in and listen to.And many more ...To record a message, connect a microphone to the "Mic" input. When you areready to start recording, press and hold the "Record" button for about 3seconds until the "Record" LED lights up. When you are done recording yourmessage, press the "Record" button again to stop the recording. 3.4. Extend the transmitter's antenna fully and put it in the upright position. Nowtune any nearby FM radio to the frequency selected and you should be able tolisten to recorded message.You should adjust the volume control on the unit to a level so that thereception is strong and distortion free. Setting the volume too high maydistort the transmitted signal and setting it too low will weaken the outputpower.Note that immediately after changing the frequency using the DIP switch (orupon initial power up), it may take a few seconds for the transmitter to lock-into the newly selected frequency.You can set the transmitting frequency by setting the “FREQ” DIP switch onthe transmitter according to the following diagram.The transmitter also incorporates a "Line" input for recording from anystandard audio source.
