It is a truly plug-andplay system and is very easy to operate. Once you have recorded a message, the device will start broadcasting it repeatedly on the pre-selected frequency. The message can be recorded via either an external Microphone or a Line Input from another audio source. The UX600 offers a choice of 7 frequencies selectable though an easy to change DIP switch. The frequency is PLL (Phase-Locked-Loop) synthesized for rock-solid high-quality reception. APPLICATIONS Real Estate Talking Signs: Record a message describing the property for sale and inform all potential prospects 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply post the transmitting frequency on your "For Sale" sign and prospective buyers will be able to listen to your message right on the car's radio when near the property. Tourist Site Information Service: Record messages describing various tourist sites on multiple UX600s and place a unit at each site. Tourists will be able to tune in their car radios to the advertised frequency and to the information about each particular site. Drive-Throughs, Restaurants, and Gas Stations: Record a message describing your daily specials, menus, products or other information for customers to tune in and listen to. And many more ... INSTALLATION 1. Connect the adapter to the back of the unit and then turn on the unit by switching the On/Off switch on the back to the On position. 2. To record a message, connect a microphone to the "Mic" input. When you are ready to start recording, press and hold the "Record" button for about 3 seconds until the "Record" LED lights up. When you are done recording your message, press the "Record" button again to stop the recording. Once recording is done, the unit will automatically start transmitting the recorded message on the selected frequency. 3. You can set the transmitting frequency by setting the “FREQ” DIP switch on the transmitter according to the following diagram. You should choose a frequency on which no other commercial station is broadcasting. 4. Extend the transmitter's antenna fully and put it in the upright position. Now tune any nearby FM radio to the frequency selected and you should be able to listen to recorded message. You should adjust the volume control on the unit to a level so that the reception is strong and distortion free. Setting the volume too high may distort the transmitted signal and setting it too low will weaken the output power. Note that immediately after changing the frequency using the DIP switch (or upon initial power up), it may take a few seconds for the transmitter to lock-in to the newly selected frequency. The transmitter also incorporates a "Line" input for recording from any standard audio source. You can use the "Line" input if you prefer to record from an external audio source rather than a microphone 106.7 106.9 107.1 107.3 107.5 107.7 107.9 1 2 ON 1 2 ON 1 2 ON 1 2 ON 1 2 ON 1 2 ON 1 2 ON Manufactured by: UniKit Electronics Corporation #121 – 3823 Henning Drive Burnaby • BC • V5C 6P3 • Canada www.unikit.com
