process takes about 90 seconds to complete.
Replacing a sensor
If you have purchased this new VC7001
accessory sensor to replace an old sensor,
follow the instructions to deregister your
old sensor. The VC7151/VC7152 telephone
system can support up to 400 sensors.
To replace a sensor, you must deregister the
registered sensor first, and then register this
new sensor to the telephone base.
To deregister a sensor:
1. Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
2. Enter the code *33734# to access the
DEREGISTER menu.
3. Scroll to Single sensor, and then press
SELECT.

deregistration process completes.
Mount the sensor
•
Taking care of your sensor
Make sure the mounting surface is clean.
A textured surface or any imperfections to
a smooth surface can keep the sticker from
making a strong bond.
Your sensor contains sophisticated electronic parts,
so it must be treated with care.
• You can choose to mount the sensor with sticker
first, and then use screws later if you decide to
mount it at that location for long term.
•
1. Attach the sticker onto the rectangular area
of the back cover, and then stick the garage
door status sensor onto the garage door.
2. Firmly press the sensor for 30 seconds to
ensure full contact on the surface area.
• Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix
alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc) or rechargeable
(Ni-Cad, Ni-Mh, etc) batteries.
• While you insert the batteries, make sure the
polarities are correct.
• The batteries operate properly under the
temperature between -18°C (0°F) and 50°C (122°F).
1. Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
2. Enter the code *33734# to access the
DEREGISTER menu.
3. Press SELECT to select All sensors.
4. Press YES to confirm the deregistration.
The telephone base shows All sensors are
deregistered and you hear a beep when the
deregistration process completes.
Garage X refers to the sensor’s name. X refers
to the system-assigned number of the sensor.
Place the sensor down gently. Save the original
packing materials to protect your sensor if you ever
need to ship it.
Avoid water
4. Align the holes on the back cover of the
sensor with the holes on the garage door.
Stick the back cover onto the door. Tighten
the screws into the holes to secure the back
cover onto the garage door.
TIP
• You may also choose to attach the sticker onto the
back cover to strengthen the bond, if necessary.
Use your handset to enter the Settings menu,
and then the Sensor setup menu. Follow the
steps to test the sensor’s signal strength. Move
the base closer to the garage, or move the
sensor closer to the base, if the sensor is out
of range.
Your sensor can be damaged if it gets wet. Do not
use the sensor outdoors in the rain, or handle it with
wet hands. Do not install the sensor near a sink,
bathtub or shower.
Electrical storms
Electrical storms can sometimes cause power surges
harmful to electronic equipment. For your own safety,
take caution when using electrical appliances during
storms.
Cleaning your sensor
Your sensor has a durable plastic casing that should
retain its luster for many years. Clean it only with a
dry non-abrasive cloth. Do not usedampened cloth or
cleaning solvents of any kind.

in place whilst testing, and step away from the
sensor before testing. This allows a better radio
transmission between the sensor and the base
Mount the sensor at a higher position of the
garage door. Depending on surroundings and
obstructing factors, like concrete garage walls, a
tall metal storage cabinet, or an SUV, the sensor
may not transmit to the base properly.

toute autre surface similaire.

L’organisme ‘Wireless Technology Research, LLC
(WTR)’, une firme de recherche indépendante,
a mené une évaluation pluridisciplinaire des
interférences entre les téléphones sans fil portatifs
et les stimulateurs cardiaques implantés dans
l’organisme.
