Setting Up the Router
Connecting the Router
To set up the router hardware
1. Unpackallofthepackagecontents.
2. ConnectthenetworkcabletotheEthernetportonyourcomputerandtooneoftheLANportsonthe
router.
3. Insertthepowersupplyintotherouterandconnecttheadaptertoanavailablepoweroutlet.
4. Aftertherouterhaspoweredup,makesurethePowerLEDandInternetLEDarebothlit,andthen
continuewiththerouterconfigurationprocess.
Configuring the Router
To configure basic initial router settings and change the password via the software utility
1. Atyourcomputer,openawebbrowser.
2. Entertherouter'sIPaddress:http://192.168.1.1
3. Whenpromptedtologin,enteravalidusernameandpassword.(Note:Thedefaultusernameisadmin,
andthedefaultpasswordisalsoadmin.)
4. AttheSetup > Basic Setuppage,checktheInternet Connection Typeoptionandmakesureitissetto
"AutomaticConfiguration-DHCP."

5. AlsoattheSetup > Basic Setuppage,verifytheIPaddressfortherouter.
6. ClicktheAdministrationtab.
7. AttheAdministration > Managementpage,enteranewuniquepasswordintheRouter Passwordfield,
andre-entertoconfirm.
8. ClickSave Settings.
Congratulations!You'venowcompletedthebasicrouterinstallation.
