Setting Up the Router
Connecting the Router
To set up the router hardware
1. Unpack all of the package contents.
2. Connect the network cable to the Ethernet port on your computer and to one of the LAN ports on the
router.
3. Insert the power supply into the router and connect the adapter to an available power outlet.
4. After the router has powered up, make sure the Power LED and Internet LED are both lit, and then
continue with the router configuration process.
Configuring the Router
To configure basic initial router settings and change the password via the software utility
1. At your computer, open a web browser.
2. Enter the router's IP address: http://192.168.1.1
3. When prompted to log in, enter a valid user name and password. (Note: The default user name is admin,
and the default password is also admin.)
4. At the Setup > Basic Setup page, check the Internet Connection Type option and make sure it is set to
"Automatic Configuration - DHCP."

5. Also at the Setup > Basic Setup page, verify the IP address for the router.
6. Click the Administration tab.
7. At the Administration > Management page, enter a new unique password in the Router Password field,
and re-enter to confirm.
8. Click Save Settings.
Congratulations! You've now completed the basic router installation.

of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and
on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician for help.
For product available in the USA and Canada market, only channel 1~11 can be operated. Selection of other
channels is not possible.
This device and it's antennas(s) must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or
transmitter except in accordance with FCC multi-transmitter product procedures.
This device is going to be operated in a 5.15~5.25 GHz frequency range; it is restricted in indoor environments
only.

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled
environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20 cm
between the radiator and your body.

Operating Temperature
For optimal performance, the wireless router should be operated under the following conditions:
The router will operate normally at temperatures between 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
