PAGE 2 User’s Manual Model # EX1 INSTALLING BATTERIES Locate and remove the ECHO remote control by pulling the remote towards you and then sliding it up. (Illustration A) (Illustration B) (Illustration A) Remove the battery compartment cover by using a coin or a flat tip screw driver to unscrew the retaining screw. (Illustration B) (Illustration C) Install two AAA batteries (Not Included). ‘-’ means that the ‘-’ end of battery will be up when installed. ‘+’ means ‘+’ end of battery is up when installed. (Illustration C) PAGE 3 5 Next, locate the battery compartment flap on the Main unit. Remove the battery compartment flap by using a coin or a flat tip screw driver to unscrew the retaining screw. Once the screw is removed, pull the flap towards you. NOTE: the flap is not a separate piece from the unit and will not come off. (Illustration E) Reinstall and securely fasten the battery compartment retaining screw. (Illustration F) ATTACHING THE CARRYING STRAP Attach carrying strap by locating the loops on each end of the main unit and connecting one end of the carrying strap to one of the loops. You can do the same when using bungee cords (Illustration H) (Illustration G) Securely fasten the battery flap by pushing the flap down and reinstall flat head screw. (Illustration G) (Illustration H) PAGE 5 TO USE CALL Turn the main unit on by pressing the power button located on the grip of the unit. This will activate the audible call. (Illustration I) To maximize the effectiveness of the ECHO, decide how you would like to use it. It can either be held in the hand (Illustration J), mounted to a tree with bungee straps (not included) (Illustration H) or secure it in the ground with the ground peg (Illustration K). (Illustration I) (Illustration J) PAGE 6 TURNING REMOTE ON Press and hold the middle button until LCD is illuminated and then release. Unit is now on. Note: The LCD will enter sleep mode in approximately 40 seconds. (Illustration N) CHOOSING INDIVIDUAL CALLS CROWS CROWS CROW ADUL the category has been chosen, scroll CROW ADULAfter left or right to view individual calls within the category. (Illustration P) SEND VOL+ VOL- (Illustration N) PAGE 8 MUTE PLAYING THE SOUND SELECTED RABBIT JACKRABB SEND VOL+ MUTE Press the SEND button on the remote to send the selected sound to the main unit so it will play. Press MUTE on the remote to pause or play the current sound selected. (Illustration Q) Note: Call will loop repeatedly until call is deactivated. (Illustration R) To turn unit off, press and hold middle button until LCD display turns off. WARRANTY You must register your product warranty online at www.wildgameinnovations.com. Follow the on screen directions to complete the process. WGI Innovations, LTD. will replace any product that may encounter material or workmanship defects free of charge for ONE (1) YEAR after the date of purchase and thereafter the cost will vary per incident. This warranty DOES NOT COVER damage, expense or injury caused by unauthorized repairs, alterations, improper connection, shipping, abuse, theft, accident, neglect or collateral loss. When returning product for service you MUST obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from WGI Innovations, LTD. Please include name, UPS address (no P.O. Box), telephone number, RMA number and a complete description of the problem on all enclosed correspondence. When possible, pack product carefully in original carton. Customers are responsible for any shipping cost to WGI Innovations™. WGI Innovations™ will PAGE 12 pay shipping cost of replacement product to the customer. We are not responsible for damage incurred in returning items for repair.
