3 - Button Transmitter
Model #3BTM
WARNING! During programming the garage door may operate.
Keep people and objects clear of the moving door to prevent
door damage or possible personal injury.
NOTE: For a new transmitter, you must change its security code before it can be
programmed to the DoorMaster ™ or idrive™ operator.
The Following steps describe the process to change a transmitter's security code. This process
only works for transmitters with a "U" in their model number, such as "3BTM-0000 U"
Changing Transmitter's Code
1. Press and hold the large button on the transmitter that you want to change. The RED LED will
flash once and then turn off.
2. Continue to hold the button until the RED LED begins to flash (approx. 10 seconds).
3. When the RED LED flashes, immediately release the button and then immediately press and
hold the button again. The RED LED will now come on steady.
4. Continue to hold the button until the RED LED begins to flash (approx. 5 seconds).
5. When the RED LED flashes, immediately release the button. The RED LED will blink three times.
6. The code for this button has now been changed to a new randomly generated code.
7. You must now program this transmitter to the garage door operator. See" Transmitter Programming".
Transmitter Programming
NOTE: Any of the three transmitter buttons can be programmed to activate the door. In multi-door
installations, each button or a combination of two buttons pushed at the same time can be
programmed to activate a separate door.
To program the Transmitter:

LED will light or powerhead will beep once.
2) Press and hold the desired transmitter button(s); LED will go off or powerhead will beep once.
3) Press and hold same transmitter button(s) again; door should operate.
Transmitter is now programmed to operator.
NOTE: idrive™ model only: The first transmitter ccommand after programming, will only open
the door through a three inch up/down cycle. Normal door operation will then occur on all
subsequent transmitter commands.
