Pocket Monitor Overview  XTNDConnect Pocket Monitor is a Bluetooth communication software application that enables users to manage their wireless personal area network (WPAN) from a single, easy-to-use program on Windows CE platform.  It allows users to wirelessly interact with and manage remote Bluetooth devices.  With Pocket Monitor, users can discover devices, discover remote device’s service, and exchange business card, or any files with remote devices.  Additionally, the application loads virtual COM ports, enabling users to perform wireless Dial-up Networking, LAN Access and serial based functions with Bluetooth supported mobile phones, modems and access points.    System Requirements  This section contains important information about installing Pocket Monitor Windows CE. •  Pocket Monitor requires Pocket PC2000 or later, also on host PC, requires Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.  •  It is necessary to install the ActiveSync 3.1 or later on host PC and establish a partnership between host PC and Pocket PC device before Pocket Monitor installation.   •  Pleaser refer to ActiveSync and Pocket PC user manual for more details regarding software installation.    Quick Start Instructions •  Download Pocket Monitor from Windigo Systems FTP server, and run “CEStack.exe"  •  Once the installation finishes, you should have a shortcut on your desktop called “CE Stack Install” •  Make sure your Pocket PC device is turned on and the ActiveSync is working •  Double click “CE Stack Install” icon to run the installation for CE device, and follow the instruction both on your host PC and your Pocket PC •  After the installation finishes, reset the Pocket PC device •  Now you can plug in Windigo Bluetooth CF card into the CF expension pack slot, and ready to run XTNDConnect Monitor, and enjoy the Bluetooth technology from Windigo Systems.    Known Issues Installation •  This installation package and Pocket Monitor have been tested on iPaq PocketPC with Compaq CF expansion pack only, if you have encountered any other questions on any other platform, please contact with Windigo Systems for technical support.    Exchange vCards •  Default vCard used to exchange between Bluetooth devices is named as myCard.vcf, so if you don’t have this file on your pocket PC, you will be prompted by an error message when you try to exchange the vCards. So before you can exchange your vCard with others, please make sure you have created this vCard, or you have changed the card name to existing one you have on your iPaq. You can change the default settings for OBEX push from Settings->Object Push Settings.   File Transfer •  Bi-directional operations (such as sending files in both directions at once) using file transfer are not fully supported.
