You can wirelessly connect your mobile phone, laptop/computer and more via the Bluetooth function to play high quality music. General Safety Instructions Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. In order to maintain good performance, do not use the speaker in cold, hot, dusty or wet environments, especially under the following conditions: • Protect from moisture: To protect against electric shock and damage, do not immerse the cord, plug or the speaker itself in water or any other liquid and do not expose the electrical connections to water. • Avoid overheating: Do not place speaker in direct sunlight, near heaters or hot environments. • Unstable locations: Keep speaker on a flat surface in a secure location. • Do not dismantle: Any attempt to dismantle the unit will void the warranty. • Children: Young children should be supervised when using Bluetooth speaker. • Liability: Only use this product as described in the instructions in this manual. We assume no liability for damages or injury caused by misuse of the product or non-compliance with these instructions. Instructions Charging Use the included USB cable to connect the speaker to your computer or USB power adaptor for charging. Set up 1. Move Power switch to ‘ON’ to turn on the speaker 2. The mode indicator turns on in blue and starts blinking while the speaker is searching for Bluetooth devices. 3. Turn on your Bluetooth device, select “BAUHN SPK” to pair and connect for the first time. If your Bluetooth device prompts you for a passcode, enter “0000” (four zeros). If “BAUHN SPK” is not in the Bluetooth device list, scan available Bluetooth devices. 4. When connecting is complete, the mode indicator’s blinking interval changes from short to long. 5. The speaker and your Bluetooth device store paired devices in memory. When the speaker is turned on, the speaker attempts to connect to the last connected Bluetooth device. If the last connected device is not available, the speaker attempts to connect to devices in memory one by one. The speaker stays in searching if there is no available paired device. Instructions Control buttons Press ‘VOL+‘ button to increase the speaker volume. Press ‘VOL-‘ button to decrease the speaker volume. Press ‘Play/Pause’ button on the speaker to play or pause the audio. Control buttons on your Bluetooth device can be used too. Hands-free function Press to answer incoming calls. Streaming audio pauses. Press to end calls. Streaming audio resumes. Instructions Using Aux input 1. Connect your audio device and the speaker using a 3.5mm audio cable (Aux cable). 2. The speaker switches to Aux mode automatically. The mode indicator changes to solid red light. 3. Only ‘VOL-‘ and ‘VOL+’ buttons work for controlling the audio in Aux mode. Possible problem and Solution • • Make sure your device’s Bluetooth function is turned on and the device is discoverable. If there are too many Bluetooth devices near the speaker, turn unused devices off to avoid interference. The sound is too soft. • Check the volume setting on both the speaker and your Bluetooth device and adjust the volume to a suitable level. Poor sound quality or distorted sound in Bluetooth mode • Make sure your Bluetooth device is within the speaker’s Bluetooth range. Move your Bluetooth device closer to the speaker. 10 FCC Statement: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: —Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. —Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. —Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. —Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
