CHIP AND PIN MOBILE PAYMENT DEVICE XCE_E25C / XCE-25-C INSTALLATION GUIDE 1. BEFORE STARTING On the top of xCE_E25C (also called xCE-25-C), there is a micro USB port and reset pin hole (Figure 1) covered under the protection cover (Figure 2); this port is used for battery charging, debugging, firmware update and key injection. NOTE: The battery of xCE_E25C is built-in and rechargeable. Figure 1 Figure 2 Operating Temperature: 0 C to 40 C Battery Pack: 3.7V, 1050mAh Input: 5V, 500mA 2. POWER ON/OFF THE DEVICE Pressing the power button once, battery capacity will be displayed. To power on the device, press and hold the Power key for five seconds until the buzzer sound is heard, and screen is activated. To power off the device, press and hold the Power key for five seconds until the buzzer sound is heard, and screen becomes blank. Figure 3 NOTE: xCE_E25C will power off itself automatically if unused for 5 minutes. 3. CONNECTING TO SMART DEVICES Once xCE_E25C is powered on, Bluetooth will be searchable. From the connecting deviceâs Bluetooth settings, pair and connect to xCE_E25C. 4. USING THE MAGNETIC CARD READER Find the magnetic card reader slot on the right side of the device (Figure 4). Swipe the card through the slot with magnetic stripe side facing the same direction as the keypad (Figure 5). Figure 4 Figure 5 5. USING THE IC CARD READER Find the IC card reader slot on the bottom of the device (Figure 6). Insert an IC card into the slot with the chip side facing the same direction as the keypad (Figure 7). Figure 6 Figure 7 6. USING THE CONTACTLESS CARD READER Place the contactless card on top of the contactless logo (Figure 8). Figure 8 7. USING THE KEY PAD Press Cancel(X) key to terminate any current function and press the Enter(O) key to confirm a value or an option. Press the numeric key to enter the desirable numbers. The further RF exposure reduction can be achieved if the product can be kept as far as possible from the user body or set the device to lower output power if such function is available.
