A red light next to the Micro HDMI port will indicate when the device is charging. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Note: It is normal for the tablet to become warm while charging. 10 Display Configurations Conventional Laptop Tent Tablet You can flip the display and adjust to varying degrees of comfort for use either as a laptop, tent or tablet configuration. 11 Turn-on and Follow the Prompts ON: Press and hold until logo screen appears OFF: Press and hold until prompted to shut down SLEEP: Press and release quickly to turn off the display only. You’ll be able to connect later (See page 18) 13 Familiarize Yourself with Windows Shown in Tablet Mode 5 6 7 8 15 9 10 11 13 14 12 14 Familiarize Yourself with Windows 10 11 12 13 14 15 Select Pinned tiles or All apps menu Account Settings: Change account settings or Sign out Settings : View and adjust settings for the System, Internet, Security, etc. Power: Sleep, Shut down or restart the device Windows: Return to Home screen Go to Previous screen Activate Cortana Task View: View active windows Battery: Displays battery level, time remaining, battery saver and brightness WiFi: View network settings or activate Airplane mode Volume: Adjust volume level Windows Ink Workspace: Opens menu featuring Windows Ink apps Keyboard: Opens the virtual keyboard to type on screen Date & Time: Adjust settings for date, time; View calendar Action Center: Opens and closes the Action Center menu 15 Apps Menu Tap on the ‘All apps’ icon in the Windows menu to open a list of all your available apps. 16 Apps Menu To customize your Tiles on the Start Menu, tap to open your list of apps. Look for and select the Network Name in your WiFi listing on your device. 18 Microsoft Edge Browser Once you have a WiFi connection, you can go to the internet using the Microsoft Edge Browser. Tip: If you don’t see the Edge icon on your desktop, tap on the Windows logo > All apps Icon and scroll down the list until you see “Edge”. 19 Action Center The Action Center is the central location to view alerts, notifications, user settings, and more. Swipe your finger inward from the right edge of the screen to bring up the Action Center. Swipe your finger back towards the edge to hide. 20 Cortana, Your Voice-Activated Personal Assistant Speak to Cortana and request the weather forecast, set personal reminders, find files, and more. Tap the “O” icon in the task bar, or tap the mic and ask her anything. Summon Cortana by speaking clearly and slowly with a command, “Hey Cortana!” 21 Windows Ink Workspace The Windows Ink Workspace is your onestop shop for everything you do with your pen. Select the pen icon to open the workspace. From here, you can open your Sticky Notes, sketchpad, or draw over whatever you’re doing on your PC using screen sketch. 22 Windows Hello - Fingerprint ID For Windows Hello compatible devices you can use the fingerprint reader pad to access. Once you teach Windows to recognize your fingerprint, you’ll be able to sign in with just a quick swipe instead of entering a password. In addition you’ll be able to make purchases in the Windows Store. Note: You will be asked to add a PIN before you can set up Windows Hello. Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. Tap on Fingerprint Set Up Touch the fingerprint reader pad and repeatedly lift and rest your finger on the sensor until set up is complete. 23 Visit NuVision online! This may lead to program errors (e.g., system or screen “freezing”.) 10. Static discharge is normal and can occur in an electronic device. No service or shipment will be accepted unless an RMA # is provided to you and attached or printed to the shipping carton along with a copy of the bill of sale. This warranty is effective only if the product was purchased through an Authorized Retail Seller and the unit is operated in North America. You are responsible for all tariffs and taxes imposed to ship or receive warranty or replacement units to and from the U.S. Warranty extends only to defects in materials or workmanship and does not extend to any other products that have been lost, discarded or damaged by misuse, accident, neglect, acts of God, such as lightning, improper installation, improper maintenance or modification.
