Warnings for Use of Wireless Devices
Caution: Please observe all warning
ing notices with regard to the usage of wireless devices.
Potentially Hazardous Atmospheres – F
Fixed Installations
You are reminded of the need to observe restr
trictions on the use of radio devices in fuel depots, chemica
cal plants etc. and areas
where the air contains chemicals or particles ssuch as grain, dust, or metal powders.
Safety in Aircraft
Switch off your wireless device whenever you
ua
are instructed to do so by airport or airline staff. If your dev
evice offers a ‘flight mode’
or similar feature, consult airline staff as to itss u
use in flight.
Safety in Hospitals
Wireless devices transmit radio frequency ene
ergy and may affect medical electrical equipement.
Wireless devices should be switched off where
rever you are requested to do so in hospitals, clinics, or hea
ealthcare facilitlies. These
requests are designed to prevent possible inte
terference with sensitive medical equipement.
Wireless devices transmit radio frequency ene
ergy and may affect medical electrical equipment. When installed
ins
adjacent to other
equipment, it is advised to verify that the adjac
acent equipment is not adversely affected.
Pacemakers
Pacemaker manufacturers recommended that
at a minimum of 15cm (6 inches) be maintained between a handheld
wireless device
and a pacemaker to avoid potential interferenc
nce with the pacemaker. These recommendations are consi
sistent with independent
research and recommendations by Wireless Te
Technology Research.
Persons with Pacemakers:
•
Should ALWAYS keep the device mo
ore than 15cm (6 inches) from their pacemaker when turne
ned ON.
•
Should not carry the device in a breas
ast pocket.
•
Should use the ear furthest from the
ep
pacemaker to minimise the potential for interference.
•
If you have any reason to suspect tha
hat interference is taking place, turn OFF your device.

FCC rules. These limits are designed to provid
ide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses and can radia
iate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However there is no guarantee that
th interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipme
ment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
n reception,
which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and o
on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference
ce by one or more of the
following measures:
•
•
