9 Do not override the safety purpose of the
polarized or grounding plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider than the
other. A grounding plug has two blades and a
third grounding prong. The wide blade or the
third prong is provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not t into your outlet,
ask an electrician to replace the obsolete
outlet.

Preparations
Prepare the Remote Control
The provided Remote Control allows the unit to be
operated from a distance.
Even if the Remote Control is operated within the
eective range (6m), remote control operation may be
impossible if there are any obstacles between the unit
and the remote control.
If the Remote Control is operated near other products
which generate infrared rays, or if other remote
control devices using infra-red rays are used near the
unit, it may operate incorrectly. Conversely, the other
products may operate incorrectly.
First-time use:
The unit has a pre- installed
lithium CR2025 battery. Remove
the protective tab to activate
the remote control battery.
Replace the Remote Control Battery
1 Pull out the battery tray and remove the old battery.
2 Place a new CR2025 battery into the battery tray
with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
3 Insert the battery tray back into the slot.
Precautions Concerning Batteries
• When the Remote Control is not going to be used for a long time (more than a month), remove the
battery from the Remote Control to prevent it from leaking.
• If the batteries leak, wipe away the leakage inside the battery compartment and replace the batteries
with new ones.
• Do not use any batteries other than those specied.
• Do not heat or disassemble batteries.
• Never throw them in re or water.
• Do not carry or store batteries with other metallic objects as this may cause the batteries to
short-circuit, leak or explode.
• Never recharge a battery unless it is conrmed to be a rechargeable type.
Connect Power
1. Slot the jack plug on the power adaptor
into the power point in the underside of
the base as shown in the diagram above.
2. Slot the power adaptor into a wall socket
and turn the power on, if required.t.

- Be sure to unplug the power cord from
the outlet when the system is not in use
for an extended period of time.

General Operation
Standby/ON
When you rst connect the main unit to the mains socket, the main unit will be in Standby mode.
• Press the button on the remote control or on main unit to switch the main unit ON.
• Press the button on the remote control or on main unit to switch the main unit back to Standby mode.
Tips:
- When turning the system on, the system will continue in the mode it was in when it was turned o
last time.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit o completely.
- If there is no signal under the DOCK, BT (Bluetooth) or LINE IN mode, the unit will automatically
switch o within 15 minutes.
Select Modes
Press the button repeatedly on the unit or press the DOCK, FM, LINE IN or BT buttons on the remote
control to select the desired mode. The selected mode will show on the display.
Adjust the Volume
- Press the VOL +/– buttons on the remote control or on the unit to adjust the volume.
- If you wish to turn the sound o, press the MUTE button on the remote control. Press the MUTE
button again or press VOL+/- button on the remote control or on the unit to resume normal volume.
Select the Equaliser
Press the EQ button on the remote control or on the unit repeatedly to select:
[Pop] - [Class] -[Rock] - [Jazz] - [Flat]
Adjust the Brightness
In the standby mode, press the VOL +/– buttons on the unit or the DIMMER button on the remote
control to adjust display brightness.
Set the Sleep Timer
This unit can switch to standby automatically after a set period of time.
1 Press the SLEEP button on the remote control repeatedly to select your desired number of minutes.
The number of minutes shown will display in this sequence: 90 60 30 15 0
2 Stop pressing the SLEEP button when your desired number of minutes is displayed. The sleep timer is
now set.
- Press the SLEEP button to view the remaining time before switch o.
- To cancel the sleep timer, press the SLEEP button repeatedly until “0” shows on the display.

LINE IN Operation
1 Ensure that the unit is connected to
the TV or audio device.
- Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to
the LINE IN socket on the rear of unit
and to the headphone socket on the
audio player.
2 Press the button on the main unit
or press the LINE IN button on the
remote control to select LINE IN mode.
3 Operate your audio device directly for playback features.
4 Press the VOL +/– button to adjust the volume to your desired level.
Bluetooth Operation
You can listen to music from a Bluetooth-enabled device via this player.
Note:
- The operational range between this player and a Bluetooth device is approximately 8 meters (without
any object between the Bluetooth device and the unit).
- Before you connect a Bluetooth device to this unit, ensure you know the device’s capabilities.
- Compatibility with all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed.
- Any obstacle between this unit and a Bluetooth device can reduce the operational range.
- If the signal strength is weak, your Bluetooth receiver may disconnect, but it will re-enter pairing
mode automatically.
Pair Bluetooth-enabled Devices
1 Press the button on the main unit or press the BT button on the remote control to select BT
(Bluetooth) mode. “NO bt” will show on the display if the unit is not paired to any Bluetooth device.
2 The system has entered pairing mode.
Or press and hold the "BF/PAIR" button on the remote control or the "BF" button on the unit to
be searchable. The display will show “PAIR” and you will hear "Pairing" from the unit.
3 Activate your Bluetooth device and select the search mode. “IS 8038990” will appear on your
Bluetooth device.
4 Select “IS 8038990” in the pairing list. On successful pairing, you will hear "Paired" from the unit, and
the display panel shows “bt”.
5 Play music from the connected device.
To disconnect the Bluetooth function, you can :
- Switch to another function on the unit.
- Disable the function from your Bluetooth device. The Bluetooth device will be disconnected from the
soundbar after the “Disconnected” voice prompt.
- Press and hold the BF/PAIR button on the remote control.
Tips:
- Enter “0000” for the password if necessary.
- If a connection exist, press and hold the "BF/PAIR" button on the remote control or the "BF"
button on the unit to re-activate the pairing mode, the connection will be interrupted.
- If no other Bluetooth device pairs with this player within two minutes, the player will recover its
previous connection.
- The player will also be disconnected when your device is moved beyond the operational range.
LINE IN

- If you want to reconnect your device to this player, place it within the operational range.
- If the device is moved beyond the operational range, when it is brought back, please check if the
device is still connected to the player.
- If they are connected, display panel shows "bt".
- If the connection is lost, display panel shows "NO bt". Follow the instruction above to pair your device
to the player again.
NFC (Near Field Communication) Operation
Pair your NFC-enabled mobile device directly with this unit by just a single tap.
1. Press the button on the main unit or press the BT
button on the remote control to select BT (Bluetooth)
mode.
2. Activate NFC on your mobile device.
3. Tap the mobile device on the NFC sensing area of the
unit. The device vibrates or a message pops up. Your
unit will switch to Bluetooth mode automatically.
4. Operate your mobile device directly for playback
features.
- To disconnect, tap the mobile device on the NFC
sensing area of the unit again or disable NFC from your
mobile device.
NOTE:
• The NFC function only works with mobile devices that support NFC technology.
• You may need to remove your mobile device case to connect using NFC.
Listen to Music from Bluetooth Device
- If the connected Bluetooth device supports Advanced Audio Distribution Prole (A2DP), you can
listen to the music stored on the device through the player.
- If the device also supports Audio Video Remote Control Prole (AVRCP), you can use the player’s
remote control to play music stored on the device.
1 Pair your device with the player.
2 Play music via your device (if it supports A2DP).
3 Use supplied remote control to control play (if it supports AVRCP).
- To pause/resume play, press the BF button on the unit or the BF/PAIR button on the remote control.
- To skip to a track, press the H,G buttons on the unit or on the remote control.
iPod/iPhone/iPad Operation
Using the dock, you can
use the unit to play music
les stored on your iPod/
iPhone/iPad.
1. Press down docking
cover of the unit to ip
the docking cover up.
2. Insert the DOCK Stand
behind the lightning
dock connector. Insert
your iPod/iPhone/iPad
into the lightning dock.

3 Press the button on the main unit or press the DOCK button on remote control to select the DOCK
mode.
4 Start to play the connected iPod/iPhone/iPad.
• To pause/resume play, press the BFbutton.
• To skip to a track, press the H/G buttons.
• To search during play: press and hold H/G buttons, then release to resume normal play.
• To select repeat play options: press the REPEAT button repeatedly to select a repeat option play
mode.
Charge the iPod/iPhone/iPad
The docked iPod/iPhone/iPad begins to charge as soon as the unit is connected to AC power.
FM Operation
Auto Scan and Save Preset Station
- Ensure that the unit is connected FM antenna.
1 Press the button on the main unit or press
the FM button on the remote control to select
FM mode.
2 Press and hold the PROG button on the remote
control to activate automatic programming. All
available stations are programmed in the order
of waveband reception strength.
- The rst programmed radio station is played
automatically.
• Tune to a Preset Radio Station
- Press the , buttons to select a preset number that you want.
Tuning in a Station
• Tune in radio stations automatically
- Press and hold the H/G buttons, the frequency changes down or up automatically until a station
is found.
- The search may not stop at a station with a very weak signal.
• Tune in radio stations manually
- Press the H/G buttons repeatedly until you nd the station you want.
- If reception is still poor, try to adjust the position of the aerial or try to move the radio to another
location.
Presetting Stations Manually
You can preset up to 20 FM stations.
1 Tune in the desired station, then press the PROG button.
2 Press the / or number (0~9) buttons to select the preset number.
3 Press the PROG button to store the station.
4 Repeat above steps 1 to 3 for each station you want to store in memory with a preset number.

Troubleshooting
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself. If you encounter problems when using
this unit, check the following points before requesting service.
No power
- Ensure that the AC Power Adapter of the unit is connected properly.
- Ensure that there is power at the DC outlet.
- Press standby button to turn the unit on.
Remote control does not work
- Before you press any playback control button, rst select the correct source.
- Reduce the distance between the remote control and the unit.
- Insert the battery with its polarities (+/-) aligned as indicated.
- Replace the battery.
- Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the unit.
I can't find the Bluetooth name of this unit on my Bluetooth device
- Ensure the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device.
- Re-pair the unit with your Bluetooth device.
Poor radio reception
- Increase the distance between the unit and your TV and VCR.
