EX1 - RT BLUETOOTH HEADSET INSTRUCTION MANUAL FITTING YOUR HEADSET CONNECTING TO YOUR PHONE TURN ON BLUETOOTH 3s ‘HOLD’ POWER BUTTON SEARCH SELECT FOR NEW DEVICES EX1-RT ENTER PASSKEY 0000 (FOUR ZEROS) EX1-RT Power / Answer / Reconnect Volume Increase Volume Decrease / Mute FUNCTIONALITY POWER ON : Hold for 2 secs until all LED’s turn Red. [Voice Prompt: Power On] VOLUME INCREASE Tap to increase the volume in increments. POWER OFF : Hold for 3 secs until LED turns Red, then off. [Voice Prompt: Power Off] TAKE A CALL : Press once. REJECT A CALL : Hold 2 secs. END A CALL : Press once. REDIAL : Press twice. (Re-dialing is only available for the first device if two are connected.) VOICE-DIALING : Press once then say ‘Call’ along with the name of the person you want to ring. (Voice Dialing is only available for the first device if two are connected.) For further details on voice dialling, refer to your phone manual). VOLUME DECREASE Tap to decrease the volume in increments. MUTE Hold down for 2 seconds. A tone will sound every 10 seconds when in mute mode. Repeat to un-mute. CALL-WAITING END CURRENT CALL : Press once. PUT CURRENT CALL ON HOLD : Hold for 2 seconds. This can also be used during multi-connection of 2 devices. LOW BATTERY All LED’s will flash Red once every minute. The Bluetooth word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth sig, inc. and any use of such marks by Gioteck is under licence. Complies with IDA Standards DB100398 CHARGING 2h The Power LED will be red during charging and all LED’s will light when charged. Charging indication will be delayed if the headset has not been used for a long time. To use the headset for the first time you must pair it with a Bluetooth® enabled device. 1. Ensure the headset is within 1 meter of the device. 2. Activate Bluetooth on the device (Settings >Bluetooth > ON) 3. With the EX1-RT Off, hold the Power button for 3 secs until all the LED’s illuminate to a solid state. [Voice Prompt: Pairing ] 4. Select ‘EX1-RT’ from the list of Bluetooth devices, or select ‘Scan for new devices’. 5. If the device asks for a passcode, enter four zeros (0000). 6. The LEDs will flash every 3 seconds once pairing is successful. [Voice Prompt: Pairing Successful] [Voice Prompt: Phone Connected] The headset will now connect to your device automatically. If pairing is not completed within 2 minutes the headset will turn off. If this happens, please repeat the pairing process. The headset will turn off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. MULTI-CONNECTION TO 2 DEVICES Follow the instructions above to pair the EX1-RT to 2 devices. Switch the headset off and on again, and it will connect to both devices automatically. When the headset is turned on, it will connect to the last device you were connected to. STREAMING AUDIO Audio will stream automatically once the EX1-RT is wirelessly connected to a device. Streaming will pause during an incoming/outgoing call and resume when the call ends. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. • Store in a dry and dust free area. • Do not store in areas of extreme low (0°C) or high (40°C) temperatures. • Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. • Do not allow the product to get wet or dirty; doing so may cause damage. • Do not clean with benzene, paint thinner, acetone, alcohol, or other such solvents. • Do not take the product apart; doing so will void your warranty and may cause electrical shock or damage to internal components. • Do not allow the battery or battery compartment to get into contact with metal objects such as keys or coins. • Charge the product as specified and only use the charger supplied. • Avoid charging the product while unattended. • Check local laws regarding using a headset while driving. • Keep earbuds clean and free of ear wax to maintain product performance. Exposure to high volume sound levels may cause temporary or permanent damage to your hearing. You should always set your volume to moderate levels and avoid long exposure to high volume levels.
