ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Asylum Seekers
If you have any restrictions on taking up employment or seeking benefits in the UK, then you may not be eligible to make an application. If you are not sure, please supply a photocopy of your most recent Home Office documentation (or stamp on your passport), confirming your status to remain in the UK, along with your application.
Forces Personnel
Under the temporary non-resident arrangements, forces personnel are treated as being resident at the establishment where they are based. If they are ordinarily resident* in Scotland but are serving overseas, they would be eligible.
* Ordinarily resident means that you live in Scotland year after year by choice, apart from temporary or occasional absences such as holidays or business trips. Living here totally or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education may not count as being ordinarily resident. If you are not a UK national, you must be settled in Scotland (as set out in the Immigration Act 1971) immediately before the date on which you made your application.

or
Student Funding North East Scotland College, Fraserburgh Campus Henderson Drive, Fraserburgh AB43 9GA
Statement
Fee rates quoted in this guide do not apply in the case of any individual who does not meet residential criteria relating to `home status'. The basic criteria are that the individual must be ordinarily resident in the UK or EEA for the past three years, having no restrictions on the right to stay in the UK. Any applicant unable to fulfil these criteria should state this at the time of booking so they can pay the nonsubsidised fee rate that applies in these cases. Applicants who are not entitled to pay `home' fee rates are advised that they must pay the overseas fee rate to be entitled to take up a place on the course. The conditions relating to residence are complex and an enquiry in this respect may be referred to the College's Student Advice Centre.
Online chat function
At selected times, prospective students are able to chat with a member of staff via the NESCol website. This option is available at selected times of the day all you have to do is visit the website and initiate your enquiry by clicking on the small purple chat box that appears on each webpage.
