  3. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if unsure about grounding. Do not modify the provided plug. No adapter should be used. If reconnection to a different electric circuit is necessary, it must be done by qualified service personnel.
  4. This machine is not intended for end-user servicing; refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
  5. If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

StairMaster TWENTY

A 20-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program designed for all fitness levels. It offers benefits like lower blood pressure, improved glucose sensitivity, reduced body fat, and enhanced aerobic fitness and muscular power. Workouts are time-efficient, delivering maximum fitness benefits with reduced training volume.

RunTV

Provides first-person videos of various running paths to visually enhance the workout experience.

WFI Test Program

The WFI test assesses aerobic capacity (VO2max) by calculating milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body weight per minute. It is based on heart rate response during graded exercise.

Formulas

  • Target HR: [208 - (0.7 * Age)] * 0.85
  • BMI (in - lbs): 703 * Weight (lbs) / [Height (in)]²
  • BMI (cm - kg): Weight (Kg) / [Height (m)]²
  • VO2max: 57.774 + (1.757 * time) - (0.904 * BMI)

Test Protocol

The test begins with a warm-up period (e.g., 46 steps/min for 2 minutes, then 53 steps/min for 1 minute), followed by 1-minute intervals of increasing work loads. Users should not hold or lean on handrails to avoid overestimating aerobic capacity.

The test completes when the heart rate exceeds the Target Heart Rate (THR) for 15 seconds. The total test time includes the warm-up but not the final 15-second qualification period.

The test is aborted with no results if:

  • The user stops or pauses the workout.
  • The [STOP Key] is pressed.
  • The THR has not been met after 16 minutes of work.
  • The Heart Rate signal is lost.
  • Equipment malfunctions.

Program Profiles

These profiles are selected in combination with Goal Based programs:

  • Manual Profile: User controls speed and calculates statistics based on weight. The workout profile is divided into 20 equal intervals.
  • Fat Burner Profile: A 20-interval workout with moderate intensity changes designed to stimulate fat assimilation for weight control.
  • Calorie Burner Profile: A 20-interval workout designed to increase aerobic capacity with greater intensity changes than the Fat Burner program.
  • Intervals Profile: An interval workout with 8 alternating rest intervals and 7 exercise intervals. Rest and work intensity levels can be scaled independently.
  • Bell-Shaped Profile: A 20-interval workout that increases intensity for the first half and decreases in the second half. Level changes affect remaining intervals.
  • Build Profile: A 20-interval workout that steadily increases intensity throughout. Level changes affect remaining intervals.
  • Mystery Challenge Profile: A 20-interval workout with randomly selected intensity changes for a unique profile each time. Level changes affect remaining intervals.
  • Steady Profile: A 20-interval workout including a warm-up, followed by a selected intensity level for the duration. Level changes affect remaining intervals.

Options During Workout Mode

  • Changing Step Rate/Level: Use the [Up/Down Buttons] to adjust the level.
  • Pausing Workout: Stop stepping to pause. A countdown timer begins. Resume by stepping again.
  • End of Workout: The workout ends when the goal is reached or the pause timer reaches zero. Total workout statistics are displayed.

Program Upload

A Bluetooth-connected device can upload a program to the console from a compatible app, potentially including user information like age and weight.

  1. In an app interface, select 'Upload Program to Display' and choose the program. The console will switch to the appropriate screen. (Note: If done during a workout, the display will not respond.)
  2. The app uploads the program. Pressing 'Cancel' returns to the home screen and removes uploaded information.
  3. Once loaded, press the green start button to proceed to the setup screen. (Note: Console returns to home screen after 30 seconds or if cancelled.)
  4. If the program fails to load, an error screen appears for 5 seconds before returning to the home screen. Check the app for error details.
  5. User information (age, weight, gender) may be adjusted on the setup screen, or press 'GO' to begin the program.
