Powering On and Off
The Jabra Elite 85h headphones can be powered on or off by twisting the earcups. To power off, twist the earcups inwards until they click. To power on, twist the earcups outwards. The visual guides show earcups twisting inwards with red arrows for 'Power off' and outwards with green arrows for 'Power on'.
How to Pair via Bluetooth
To pair your Jabra Elite 85h headphones with a smartphone, wear the headphones and select 'Jabra Elite 85h' from the Bluetooth menu on your smartphone. An illustration depicts a Bluetooth symbol connecting the headphones to the phone.
Headphone Controls and Features
The headphones offer various controls:
- Voice assistant: Access your device's voice assistant.
- Mute microphone: Mute or unmute the microphone during calls.
- Volume up: Increase volume.
- Next track (hold): Skip to the next track by holding the button.
- Answer/end call: Answer or end calls.
- Play/pause music: Play or pause audio.
- Bluetooth pair (hold): Initiate Bluetooth pairing by holding the button.
- Volume down: Decrease volume.
- Restart track (hold): Restart the current track by holding the button.
Charging Port: The headphones feature a USB-C charging port.
Audio Jack: A 3.5mm audio jack port is available for wired connections.
Sound Modes
Cycle through different sound modes by pressing the Sound Modes button on the left earcup:
- ANC (Active Noise Cancellation): Eliminates unwanted background noise.
- Off: Standard listening mode.
- HearThrough™: Allows you to hear your surroundings without removing the headset.
You can also cycle through 'Moments' in the Jabra Sound+ app by pressing and holding the Sound Modes button.
On-ear Detection
The headphones feature on-ear detection for automatic music control:
- When the headphones are removed from your head, music pauses or calls are muted.
- When the headphones are worn again, music resumes or calls are un-muted.
How to Charge
To charge the Jabra Elite 85h, plug the headphones into a USB port on a computer or wall charger using the provided USB-C cable. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Battery Indicator Lights:
- Green: Battery full
- Yellow: Battery medium
- Red: Battery low
- Flashing Red: Battery critically low
- Blue: Bluetooth pairing mode
- Purple: Resetting/updating
