Garage Remote Control User Manual
INSTRUCTIONS TO PROGRAM A REMOTE:
1. Locate the garage receiver and determine the unique 8 digit code. You may set a new code at this time. Keep
note of the unique code. The receiver should be close to the opener in your garage.
TIP: Use a random sequence of numbers to make the code as secure as possible! Avoid easy to guess
sequences.
2. Remove the front panel from the remote control which will expose the 8 digit code selector.
3. Using a paper clip or pen match the code to your receiver which was determined in step 1. The switch has an
on and off position which is selected by gently pressing up or down.
*Repeat steps 1‐3 for any additional remotes you wish to program. The 8 digit code on all remote controls must
match what was selected in step 1!
4. Replace front panel and test operation. Stand back approximately 50 ft (away from all moving parts and
doors, see warning below) and press the transmit button. The door should open and close at this time. If it
does not confirm the remote control has a functioning battery and the 8 digit code matches the receiver.
INSTRUCTIONS TO ERASE A Remote Control Transmitter:
You may erase a transmitter by selecting a new unique code on your receiver. Alternately you can alter the 8 digit
code on the transmitter so it DOES NOT match the receiver.
