Safety advice
•
General safety advice
The ORDERMAN Max does not contain any parts that are suitable for servicing by the
user and may therefore not be opened. The warranty claim will become void if the device is opened.
•
This ORDERMAN Max is optionally fitted with a Bluetooth interface for further wireless connection. Never use the handset in areas in which Bluetooth can cause disruption (aircraft, hospitals etc.).
•
Only the ORDERMAN touch pen may be used for pen operation of the ORDERMAN
Max. Pencils, ball point pens or other pointed objects lead to the touch surface being
damaged.
•
Do not under any circumstances short-circuit the handset charger contacts.
•
A high mechanical load, for example twisting or allowing to fall from an excessive height
onto a pointed object may damage the device.
•
•
Rechargeable battery safety advice
Only use the rechargeable battery model supplied.
Do not expose the rechargeable battery to extreme heat. Never short-circuit the contacts – this could cause an explosion.

Charging the battery
Insert the battery into the handset and connect the mains adaptor to the lower side of the
ORDERMAN Max and to the electricity supply. The
rechargeable battery is now charged.
When the handset is switched on, the charging symbol shows that charging process
is underway. It takes around 4 hours to completely charge the battery. The handset
can be used during the charging process.
After briefly pressing the toolbar of the Max touch field, the charging status of the battery
pack is shown. A fully charged battery allows an operating time of up to 18 hours (regardless
of whether automatic shutdown and backlighting are used ).
The number of charging cycles for the ORDERMAN Max battery is around 1,000 charging
cycles. The battery is also subject to natural wear, which can reduce operating time.
Before first use, charge the battery in the handset for at least 4 hours. For quick
charging you can also use the ORDERMAN Max charging station (option). In order
to do so, follow the advice in the instructions for using the ORDERMAN Max charging station.

Changing menu cards
The menu card changing process may only be carried out in a dry and clean environment.
Switch the ORDERMAN Max off and carefully loosen both screws on the underside of the
device.
You can now remove the locking part and then remove the menu card from the ORDERMAN Max.
Push the new menu card straight until it fits into the handset. Then screw the locking part
carefully back on with the two screws. After switching on the device and identification of the
menu card, operation can recommence.
Carry out touch calibration after each menu card change.
For optimal legibility only use menu card transparencies that have been specifically
designed for the device. Do not use paper or other materials, because possible residue in the device is
difficult to clean.
