Designed for consumers, the Wi-Ex® cell phone signal booster, z-Force, extends an in-vehicle Cell Zone. The dual band unit captures the signal outside of your
car and amplies it on the inside for a stronger “hands-free” signal. The unit incorporates a cradle and works with both 1900 MHz and 800 MHz phones – (not
Nextel/iDEN, 4G or 2100 MHz). Installaon is easy - this package includes everything you need.

Note: If your z-Force product includes the oponal Gooseneck Adapter (), begin your installaon on Step 2. Otherwise, with the standard CLA (), begin

please read the enre contents.
Installaon
Step 1. Posion zBoost Amplier Cradle -
Choose the locaon within your vehicle to
mount the zBoost Cradle. Choose a locaon with a at surface where Velcro can be applied.
Avoid placing behind any metallic objects. Do not make contact with any metal surface.
Posion Amplier Unit within 3 feet reach of power source. Clean the area where the
mounng adhesive will be applied. Allow to dry. Peel backing to expose the adhesive and
press onto the desired locaon. Remove the backing from the remaining side and press the
zBoost Cradle into place.
Step 2. Posion Exterior Magnec Mount Antenna -
Posion Exterior Magnec
Mount Antenna on roof of vehicle, making sure magnet is secured to metal surface. Thread
the cable from exterior to the interior of the vehicle. Connect the cable connector to the
Amplier Cradle Unit.
NOTE: The cord running from exterior to interior of vehicle is designed to withstand
pressure when closed in door.
Step 3. Connect DC Power -
Connect DC Power Adapter to the zBoost Cradle using the
provided cable or, if you are using a Gooseneck Adapter, by snapping the back of the cradle
onto the Gooseneck. Then connect to power source within vehicle.
NOTE: The le side of the z-Force Cradle features a USB power connecon so that you can
charge your cell phone while using this product.
Step 4. Examine Amplier LED -
The lighted area on the zBoost Amplier Cradle indicates the condion of the system. Review LED Indicator secon below.
NOTE: This product uses an auto-shut-o feature. When no movement is detected for 10 minutes, the unit will power down automacally to avoid draining
your vehicle’s baery and will display a slow blinking green LED.
Step 5. Quick System Check
- Place your cell phone in the zBoost
Cradle. Check signal strength bars. Next, turn the system o (unplug unit). You should
noce a decrease in signal bar strength. The excepon is if you are in an area where, with the system o, your phone is at full signal strength. Please note
when you turn the system on, if your phone is receiving maximum signal strength you will not see a dierence. In order for this quick test to work, you will
need to test unit in a less than maximum signal strength area.

LED Status Condion
Solid Green Normal operaon
Slow Blinking System has powered down aer sensing no
Green movement for 10 minutes. Once movement
resumes, system will power up.
Blinking Red System is experiencing Interference. This is
caused by inadequate distance between the
Cradle and Exterior Antenna. Resolve by
moving Exterior Antenna further back on the
vehicle.
Solid Red Indicates issue with power adapter.
One possible cause is a loose power
connecon. Verify that the adapter is properly
secured in the socket.
Another possible cause is the use of an
incompable power adapter. Use only the
provided adapter and/or cable or risk harm to
your zForce system.
If you are using the adapter provided with
your zForce system, please contact customer
service for a replacement.

The term “IC:” before the radio cercaon number only signies that Industry Canada technical specicaons were met.
RF Exposure:
The manufacturers rated output power of this equipment is for single carrier operaon. For situaons when mulple carrier signals are present, the rang would have to be reduced
by 3.5 dB, especially where the output is re-radiated and can cause interference to adjacent band users. This power reducon is to be by means of input power or gain reducon and
not by an aenuator at the output of the device.
Please note: This unit has been approved for use in Canada under RSS 131, however, consent for the use of this device to improve cellular or PCS coverage, must be obtained through

Wi-Ex warrants every Wi-Ex product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for the warranty period of 1 year.

Who Is Covered?
You must have proof of purchase to receive warranty service. A sales receipt or other documentaon showing the product purchased and the purchase date is
considered proof of purchase. This limited warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or any person receiving the product as a gi from the
original consumer purchaser and to no other purchaser or transferee. This warranty does NOT extend to commercial users.
What is Covered?
Warranty coverage begins the day you purchase the product. For one year from the original date, the Wi-Ex Cell Phone Signal Booster will be repaired or replaced
with a new, repaired, refurbished or comparable product (whichever is deemed necessary by Wi-Ex) if it becomes defecve or inoperave. The exchange will be
made without charge to you for parts and labor. You will be responsible for the cost of shipping to the locaon designated by Wi-Ex. If Wi-Ex cannot reasonably
repair or replace the unit then Wi-Ex may, at its sole discreon, refund the price you paid for the product. All products, including replacement products, are
covered only for the original warranty period. When the warranty on the original product expires, the warranty on the replacement product also expires.
What is Excluded?
Your warranty does NOT cover:
• Labor charges for set up of the unit.
• Product replacement because of misuse, accident, lightning damage, unauthorized repair or other cause not within the control of Wi-Ex.
• Incidental or consequenal damages resulng from the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequenal damages, so the above
exclusion may not apply to you.
• Any modicaons or other changes to the product, including but not limited to soware or hardware modicaons other than as expressly authorized by Wi-Ex
will void this warranty.
• Product that has been modied or adapted to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved
and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modicaons.
Make sure you keep…
Please keep your sales receipt or other document showing proof of purchase. Aach it to this Setup Overview and keep both nearby. Also, keep the original box
and packing material in case you need to return your product.

Warranty service will be provided by Wi-Ex. If you believe you need service for your unit, contact Wi-Ex at 1-800-871-1612 or support@wi-ex.com. A
representave will go through a diagnosc checklist with you. If it is determined that the product needs to be returned for service or exchanged, you will receive
a return merchandise authorizaon (RMA) number. The representave will give you complete shipping details. Do not return products to Wi-Ex without a Return
Authorizaon Number (RMA).
