Brief introduction Welcome to use this Bluetooth car kit BTC009. It adopts echo cancellation technology and provides high-level sound quality. At the same time it offers easy to use hands-free functions. Please read this user manual carefully before using it. 2. Overview 3. Installation 1) Insert the car kit into your car’s cigarette lighter socket; 2) Align microphone and speaker so that they face the driver without any barriers that might reduce conversation quality; Using the car kit 1. Pairing with a Bluetooth cell phone Please make sure your cell phone is Bluetooth-enabled. Specific pairing steps may vary with different cell phones. Please refer to your cell phone’s user manual for further information. The pairing steps are as follows: 1) Insert the car kit into your car’s cigarette lighter socket; 2) Make sure your car kit is off, otherwise turn off the car kit first (please refer to “turning the car kit on/off”); button for 7-8 seconds and release it when 3) Press and hold the red the red and blue LEDs flash alternately. The blue LED will flash once every 5 seconds when the connection is established. Remarks: Pairing mode will last 2 minutes. The car kit will exit pairing mode automatically if it can’t be connected to any device within 2 minutes. If you want to continue to pair the car kit with a Bluetooth device, please turn it off first and re-pair according to steps 1-6 mentioned above. After successful pairing the car kit and your cell phone will remember each other. The devices don’t have to be re-paired at next use unless the pairing information is deleted because of a new pairing. The car kit can remember 8 paired devices. When the number of paired devices exceeds 8, the old ones will be replaced starting with the first. Every time you turn on BTC009 it will try to connect to the last connected device automatically. If you want to pair it with another device, please switch off the paired device’s Bluetooth function first and pair the car kit with the new device according to steps 1 6 mentioned above. ~ 2. Please refer to your cell phone user manual for further information. For some cell phones, when you press the answer button on the phone, the call will be transferred to cell phone firstly. At this time, you need to transfer the call to the car kit through operating on your cell phone. Please refer to your cell phone user manual for further information. 4. Automatic connecting to a Bluetooth device Every time the car kit is turned on it will try to connect to the last connected device automatically. Remarks: The car kit will only try to connect to the last connected device. Please switch on your Bluetooth device’s Bluetooth function before trying to connect to it. On certain Bluetooth devices like some Nokia cell phones, you have to allow automatic connecting. 5. Keep it dry and don’t take it to damp places to avoid the product’s internal circuit being affected. Keep the product away from direct sunlight or hot places. High temperatures will shorten the life of electronic devices, destroy the battery or distort certain plastic parts. Don’t expose the product to cold areas. It may damage the internal circuit board. Don’t try to disassemble the product as it may get damaged if you are not professional. Don’t let it fall down onto the floor or other hard surfaces. The internal circuit might get damaged. Don’t use intensive chemical products or detergent to clean the product. Don’t scratch the surface with sharp things. In case the product doesn’t function properly, send it to the store you bought it. The staff will help you to solve the problem. FAQs 1. Why can’t my cell phone find the car kit? Your cell phone will not be able to find the car kit if it is not in pairing mode. Please make sure the car kit is in pairing mode and in the effective working range. 2. Why is the conversation quality bad? a) Make sure the cell phone has a strong signal; b) Ensure the car kit is in the effective working range. 3. How far is the effective range between the car kit and cell phone? According to the Bluetooth standard, the max. controllable range of a Class2 car kit is 10 meters. It varies under different environments. 4. Why is there no sound from the car kit’s loudspeaker during conversation? a) Please make sure the car kit is successfully connected to the cell phone; b) Ensure the car kit’s volume has been set to a proper position.
