Chapter 1 : Introduction
Welcome
Thank you for purchasing this Video Indoor Station.
Home Security is emphasized by the lifestyle of modern families. ID5101 features
Home Security for daily life on your community network. ID5101 lets you set
Security areas in your house, and it helps to guard your home safe by sensing
abnormal situations (CO, Gas, and Emergency Button). Once alarm is triggered,
three calls will automatically be sent with Alarm Speech Announcement.
ID5101 allows you to view live video (Surveillance) up to 12 cameras, so you can
see what’s happening in other rooms and outside your house. Messages that
include Alarm Record, Visitor Record (pictures of visitors), Call Record, and
Community Notice can be read through your ID5101.
In addition, ID5101 is a SIP-based Video Indoor Station that supports several high
quality audio and video codecs. It acts like a SIP video phone that allows you to
make (video) phone calls to talk to your friends and neighbors with live images.

The Video Indoor Station includes two main features (Home Security and SIP Video Phone):
A. Features of Home Security
Home Security – Alarm for CO Sensor, Emergency Button, and Gas Detector

(RFID Internal Module, ISO 14443A Compliant/ 13.56 MHz)

Suggested Installation Positions
Due to the view angle of the camera is limited, therefore the installation position for Video Indoor Station is crucial. In order to
get a better view, the view angle of this door phone should be around 105. Also the height of the lens position is suggested
between 155cm to 165cm according to building conditions. For more details, please refer to Diagram below.
Please reserve the space for junction wiring in the wall, you may refer to the embedded box dimension as diagram
below.

Installing Procedures
1.
Screw the Back Plate on the Wall
Please pull out the AC wires and Ethernet cable pass through the back plate. Hence, connect with the Video Indoor Station after
screw the Back Plate on the wall.
If necessary, please connect the Earth wire to the screw as Diagram below.
About the safety/security
application requirement,
please connect the control
wires with I/O cable and put
it in the embedded box. And
then pull out the I/O cables
pass through the back plate.

Connect the AC Wires and Ethernet Cable
Plug the AC cable connector of ID5101 to Power-Connecting connector, and connect Ethernet cable to ID5101 as Figure below.
Be careful when you are connecting the AC wires, please check the AC condition and turn off the general power switch before
you start to connect the wires.
Please connect AC wire and Adaptor as Figure below for the safety/security function.

Screw the Video Indoor Station with Back Plate.
After connecting the wires and cables properly, then screw the 2 screws that come with the package into the front panel. Please
double check all the installation procedures again, then you may power on the general power switch to start the configuration
procedures.

Below is the description of dedicated function keys.

Press Message function key to read the records of
Alarm, Visitor, Call Records, and Community notice…
while you were out.
SpeedDial
Press the SpeedDial function key:
1. To set up your speed-dial names and numbers.
2. To make a speed-dial (video) call by pressing
number keypad.
Lighting
Two lighting devices can be connected to ID5101. Press this Lighting key to turn on both
lamps. The two lighting devices act in the order of “On-On”, “Off-On”, “On-Off”, “Off-Off” in
turn.
NOTE: The maximum current for Relay Board is 2 A.
Security
While the Security Area is On, press Security key and enter password (default: 1111) to
disable Security Area A, B, C, and D. Likewise, the lights on Security Area will become gray.
Dedicated Function Keys
NOTE: User may scan RFID card on the RFID reader to turn off Security Area.
Dis-Alarm
When alarm is triggered, user may press this Dis-Alarm key to stop the alarm temporarily
for 30 seconds by default. (15/30/45/60 seconds set by Web UI)
Flash
While you are talking on phone, the door bell rings at the same time. User may press this
Flash key to switch phone calls between the phone call and door phone.

Making Phone Calls
Before you start using the Video Indoor Station, please ensure your network is
connected and SIP Proxy is registered. Then, you may make a call by following ways:
Press the Dial
soft-function key and key in the phone number on the
dialing field, then press soft-function key to make a video call or voice call.
Press the SpeedDial function key and then press the speed-dial number to make
a (video) phone call.
NOTE: The phone number (extension number) of your ID5101 will be displayed on
top-right corner of the Dial page.
Set Up the Speed-Dial Number
You may use numeric keypads as shortcut keys to dial a (video) phone number
rapidly. To bring up the Speed Dial screen, please press the dedicated function key
SpeedDial
to show up your speed-dial names and phone numbers. There are
total of 9 speed-dial names and numbers from 1 to 9 can be set.
To dial a speed-dial call, just press the SpeedDial
(dedicated function) key
and directly press a number keypad to make a (video) phone call.

Incoming Call
When a call comes in, the phone will ring, and the caller information will be
displayed on the screen. You may answer this call by following ways:
z Press
key.
z Press Answer soft-function key.
If you want to reject this call, you may press Reject soft-function key.
NOTE: When the visitor is a stranger and you don’t really understand his
intension, you should press Reject soft-function key to keep you safe.
Incoming Call
Ending a Call
You may end the call by pressing
. Or it will be returned back to the main page when the call is terminated.
Answer Door Phone Ringing
When visitor rings the door phone, user can see who the visitor is and decide whether to open the gate/door or not. If user wants
to talk to the visitor, just press the Answer soft-function to talk to the guest. Otherwise, user presses Reject soft-function key to
ignore the door phone ringing. If user wants to open the gate/door, press the

NOTE: To open the door by pressing the “ # ” keypad, the door must have been installed “Electrical-door Lock”.
RFID Card
RFID (Radio-Frequency IDentification) card is used to set ID5101 Security (Area A, B, C, and D) On/Off. As you know, RFID
technology is also quickly becoming a popular choice in door/card access control system.
Use your added RFID card to scan RFID reader to set Security
(Area A, B, C, and D) On/Off.
When you use your RFID card to set Security On, system will waits
about 30 seconds to set Security On.
NOTE: Waiting time 30/60/120/180/240 is set through Web UI.
For more detailed information, please see Card Management in
Chapter 4.

Chapter 4 : ID5101 Graphic User Interface
The ID5101 GUI (Graphic User Interface) provides user an easy-to-use
interface. There are three main features on the TFT-LCD screen- Safety,
Videos, and Messages. The three main features provide strong Home safety
and surveillance.
The top Safety and Area A, B, C, and D display real-time Safety Area status.
Besides, the soft-function key indicator- Setting allows you to set Network,
SIP, System configuration, etc. The following sections would introduce their
functions.
Safety & Security Area
On the main screen of the ID5101, you can easity see the status of Safety and Security A, B, C, and D.
The status of Safety indicates four safety devices including CO Detector, Emergency Button, and Gas Detector, and it should
be always green.

The statuses of Security Area A, B, C, and D may indicate the statuses of 4 magnetic sensors that may be installed in Front Door,
Balcony, Kitchen and Rear Door to guard your home safe.
COLOR – Security Status
Description
The Green light means that security is On.
The Gray light means that security is Off.
The Red light means that Alarm is triggered.
It may mean that someone broke in Area B.
NOTE : User can scan registered RFID card on Card Reader of ID5101 to turn Security Area A, B, C, and D On/Off.
To turn on security area, system will wait about 30/60/120/180/240 seconds for you to leave the house.
(Delay time is set by Web UI)
Safety
Home Security is emphasized by the lifestyle of modern families. More and more
modern families care about safe home environment. ID5101 helps to guard your
home and family safe.
Use Navigation Key pad <- and +> to select Safety icon, then press 9 button to enter
the Safety menu.
Again, select Safety item to enter Safety sub-menu. User can view the statuses of
these home security items at a glance.

Safety Status
The Safety statuses contain 4 items:
Safety ABCD
Detector
Lighting
Alarm
COLOR: Green light means Device Workable.
Red light means Device Abnormal.
Again, you may enter Safety ABCD by pressing Enter button. The statuses of all four
items would be displayed.
The status of Safety ABCD includes the statuses of 4 magnetic sensors that may be
installed in Front Door, Balcony, Kitchen and Rear Door. In fact, each status of safety area is displayed on the main screen (Area A,
B, C and D), too.
Front Door – MS (Magnetic Sensor)
Balcony/Side Door – MS
Kitchen – MS (Magnetic Sensor)
Rear Door – MS (Magnetic Sensor)
Green light means device workable.
Gray light means device disabled.
Red light means device abnormal.
NOTE: To learn how to set Security On/Off, please refer to the following section

To go back to previous screen, press Exit soft-function key.

Detector contains CO Detector, Emergency

Lighting contains Lighting 1 and Lighting 2.
These pages allow user to view statuses of safety devices. User can press
Green light means device workable.
Gray light means device disabled.
Red light means device abnormal.
Exit soft-function key to go back to previous screen.
Security Group
Your registered RFID cards can be used to set Security (Area A, B, C, and D)
On/Off. And, Security of four areas (Area A, B, C, and D) will be set On/Off at a
time. (For more information, please refer to RFID Card in Chapter 3.)
However, Security Group lets you set individual security area’s Security On/Off,
and allows you to Disable/Enable Safety (including CO Detector, Emergency
Button, and Gas Detector).
To enter Security Group, you need password (Default password: 1111) to enter
Security Group page.
NOTE: There are two ways to set Security On/Off on your ID5101. The first is your added RDID Card, and the second is
Manual Security Group described in this section.

Use Navigation Keypad “∧”and “∨”to select
the item, then press soft-function key or press
“9” button to change the setting.
After finishing the setting, please pressing Exit soft-function key to go back to previous
screen.
Card Management
Card Management allows you to add, edit, and delete RFID cards. You may press
Enter soft-function key to bring up Scan Card to Show Card Information page.
From main screen, you can select Safety Æ Card Management Æ Enter Æ
Management and entering password (Default Password: 1111) allow user to
add/delete card and edit RFID card users’ information.
NOTE: If you want to change your password, press ChangePassword button to pop up a
dialogue box. Input the password, and again enter your new password to
change password.

Adding/Editing User Information of RFID Cards
The figures below are the users’ information of RFID cards that have been added to the ID5101. User may edit card information or
add new RFID card.
There are two ways to add RFID card. The first is to add RFID by scanning new RFID card on card reader on the Scan Card to
Add New Card page, and the second is to press Add Card soft-function key to add new Card.
The following example shows how to edit card information.
To edit card information, press [ManagementÆ Modify] soft-function key to edit card information. Use [ Ç ] and [ È ] navigation
keypad to select items and press Edit soft-function key to enter Input Method Editor.

1. To enter user information, use Dial Key pads and Navigation Key
pads to select and enter number/alphabet/character/symbol for user
information.
2. User may need to change input method, please press ChangeIME
soft-function key to select proper input method.

Deleting RFID Card
From main screen, you can select Safety Æ Card Management Æ Enter Æ Management and entering password (Default
Password: 1111) and use [ Ç ] and [ È ] navigation keypad to select the card that you want to delete.
To delete the RFID card, press [ManagementÆ Delete] soft-function key to delete
RFID card. Then, the prompt “Please Select Management Action” appears.
Press Delete soft-function key again to delete the selected RFID card.

Videos (Surveillance)
This function features video surveillance, and it
allows you to access to view live videos through
up to 12 live cameras (or video phones).
Connecting with IP Video Phone and Video Door
Phone, your ID5101 helps to form Home
Security System and keep your home safe.
ID5101 also helps to guard your premises by using it to view real-time video through SIP Camera. Or, make phone call to
DP101R to view video outside the door. In fact, ID5101 features also the function of video surveillance.

Live Video
From main screen, you can select Videos and press Enter “9” key to enter the
View screen. (Refer to the right Figure)
To view live video at other room or outside the house, please select site or
location by using [ Ç ] and [ È ] keys, and then press Enter key [ 9 ] or press
View soft-function key.
NOTE: The connections with other video devices are set through WEB UI.
Enabling remote viewing, your ID5101 needs to connect with other cameras/video door
phones. Then, select the SIP Camera, Video Door Phone you want to view through,
press View soft-function key to see what’s happening.
Press Change View soft-function key to view picture-in-picture video, and you can
change the video and ID5101’s view in turn.

Massages
This feature provides you important and
useful messages while you were out and
you are home now. They include Alarm
Record, Pictures of Visitors, Call Record,
and, Community Notice.
Select Massage and press Enter key [ 9 ]
to enter the Massage screen.
The messages contain four items, and each item has record massage(s) and unread massage(s).
Alarm Record: Each alarm that has occurred will be recorded (maximum 30 alarms record).
Visitor Record: Each visitor will be taken 3 pictures (maximum 15 visitors). You can see pictures of visitors here.
Call Record: All incoming calls, dialed calls, and missing calls will be recorded here (maximum 30 calls record).
Community: This item acts like Community Notice. Community notice or Mail notice may be sent from or community
management or guard room.

Alarm Record
Alarm Record records all alarms that have occurred, and it also displays the time and
status of the alarms.
This symbol means the security of safety area is currently on.
This symbol means the security of safety area is currently off.
This symbol means the alarm is manually dis-alarmed temporally.
This symbol means the alarm is triggered.
This symbol means the alarm is all clear.
Visitor Record
When visitor rings the door bell of DP101R (Video
Door Phone), three pictures will be taken and send
to your ID5101.
Visitor may come to your house while you were out,
and you can see who came to visit you when you
are home. Press Enter soft-function key to view
pictures of your visitors.
NOTE: To have the pictures of visitors, you must have installed AmRoad Video Door Phone series as your Video Door Phone.

Call Record
Call Record displays calls including incoming calls, dialed calls, and missing calls, and it
also shows the time of the calls.
The maximum number of the calls in Call Record is 30. You may delete less important
calls in Call Record manually by pressing Delete soft-function key.
To go back to previous screen, press Exit soft-function key.
Community
There are two kinds of messages on Community.
The first is Community Notice, and the second is
Mail Notification.
These messages are sent to your ID5101 by
community management or guardroom.
Press Enter soft-function key to view detailed
information.
NOTE: To have the function of Community Notice and Mail Info, user needs to install AmRoad ICMS (Intelligent Community
Management Server).

Setting soft-function key to enter this Setting page. There are 8 major items for
configuration:

This setting contains some basic system settings of this device.
These settings allow general users to set up this Video Indoor Station
according to their preferences.

Device ID
This ID is a unique number giving by manufacturer
to identify this device on networks. It is fixed and not
revisable.
Device Name
This item allows user to give a name to this device.
You can use this name to identify this particular device if you have more than one Video Indoor
Station on the same network. You can rename it by using Edit soft-function key.
Date & Time
You can input your local date and time in this field.
Date Format
You can select preferred date format at this field. There are 3 formats available:
YYYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY.
Use [ Ç ] and [ È ] keys to select preferred one, then press OK to confirm selection.
Time Format
You can select preferred time format at this field. There are 2 formats available: 12 hours and
24 hours system. You may use [ Å ] and [ Æ] keys to select preferred format.

Time Zone
You may select preferred time zone in this field. This Time Zone is based on GMT (Greenwich
Mean Time) system. There are total 33 selections, from GMT-12:00 to GMT+13:00. You may
use [ Ç ] and [ È ] keys to select your Time Zone. For example: Taipei is GMT+08:00
Day Light
Saving
This item allows you to enable or disable “Day-Light- Saving” function. This phone will adjust
the time automatically according to globe standard if enabled.
Video Settings
This setting contains 6 parameters that you may use to adjust video streaming and quality:

bandwidth.
NOTE: We strongly suggest that you select Average
for your setting because Excellent is for static video
and Low is for motion picture.

Video Color
This item allows you to adjust color balance of the camera module. There are 4 options: White
light, Yellow light, Red Light and Deep red light. Please select a suitable one to meet your
room lighting environment. Default setting is Yellow light.

Brightness
This item allows you to adjust brightness of the camera module. There are 10 levels, from 0 to
9. Higher number gives brighter image. Default setting is 2.
LCD
Brightness
This item allows you to adjust lightness of LCD panel. There are 10 levels, from 0 to 9. Default
setting is 9.
Video Freq.
This item allows you to select the power frequency according to your local power specifications.
There are 2 options: 60Hz and 50Hz. Please check with your local power company if you are
not sure the correct value.

This setting contains 2 parameters for adjusting audio qualities:

connection, and it is protected by password.

password is “1234”. You may change password by using Chg Password
soft-function key.

DHCP - If you wish to connect this device to a exist
network and get dynamic IP address from the DHCP
server, please select this one. You will see all other items
in this mode are grayed out. In most of cases, DHCP
Client is used for connecting LAN (Local-Area-Network).

Static IP - If you wish to use fixed IP address to
connect to network, you may select this one. You may
get Fixed IP when you applying SIP service from carriers
or operators. You will see last 2 items for PPPoE are
grayed out. Please follow instructions below to setup
other parameters for Fixed IP.
‹
PPPoE - This selection is for connecting ADSL
modem directly. Your phone will trigger ADSL model to
connect to Internet automatically when you are dialing
phone number.

You may fill in IP address here if Fixed IP is selected.
Subnet
Mask
You may fill in Subnet Mask address here if Fixed IP is
selected.

SIP Setting
This setting allows you to se up necessary parameters of SIP services and it
is password protected. Default password is “1234”. You may change
password by using Chg Password soft-function key.
There are 10 parameters for setting the SIP service:

This item allows you to select the working model of SIP
service. Select “Server Mode” mode if this phone is
connected to a SIP server or IP PBX. Default setting is
“Peer-to-Peer Mode”.
Protocol
You may select the correct low level communication
protocol here. There are 2 options: UDP and TCP. You
have to confirm which one the service is using from
your service provider. Default setting is UDP.
SIP Proxy
You may fill in IP address or domain name of the SIP
Proxy Server here.

Registrar
You may fill in IP address or domain name of SIP Registrar Server here.

Expire
Initial of Registration Time. This item is a parameter of SIP service. You may fill in the effective
registration period of SIP service here. You have to contact your service provider to get correct

This feature allows this phone to answer incoming

In order to prevent video will be streamed out accidentally, when Auto-Answer is enabled, a
password is used to protect the privacy. You may input password in this field. The length of

The default ID and password for system login are admin and admin.
User may change his Login ID and Password on the webpage by entering
new Login ID and Password.
System Reboot
When user needs to reboot his ID5101 remotely, just click “Reboot” button
on this webpage to start this action. After confirm rebooting, Web UI will
back to the home page, but the video Indoor station may take 10~30
seconds to restart its system.

The default value of Start Port Number is 9000.
You may select a start port number and set a range from that port. The range is
between 4 and 64511.
The default value of range is 100.

Media Timer
This setting allows your phone to force release automatically a conversational call when
your phone doesn't receive any media packets from the remote side during a period of
time. If you want to disable this feature, please fill in "0" sec.

Device Setting
This page is used to configure Safety and Security devices.
There are 8 Input ports (DI1~DI8) and 4 Output ports (DO1~DO4)
available on ID5101 GPIO module.
Moreover, DI1-DI4 are for MS (Magnetic Sensors), DI5-DI8 are for CO
sensor, Emergency Button, and Gas detector.
DO1-DO3 are for Lighting, Lighting, Alarm. (DO4 is reserved).

For 8 Input ports only, user may select “Positive” or “Negative”.

Alarm Notice
Once any device of your safety device is triggered, the alarm will be started, and 1~3 phone calls will be sent out automatically by
system. Besides, an email and up to 3 SMS will be sent to specific
persons to inform that alarm occurs.

Upgrade
The Upgrade function allows you to upgrade firmware of the
ID5101 (Video Indoor Station). The ways to upgrade the
firmware is via Web UI. The Upgrade here goes through Web
UI. There are 3 items:

You may press Browse button to pop up a File dialog box to select the location
of the new firmware that you wish to upgrade.
Upgrade
After select the new firmware, you can press Upgrade button to start the
upgrading. You will see progress bar showing the upgrade status.
NOTE: DO NOT turn off or disconnect the Ethernet cable during upgrade, you
may cause serious damage to this Video Indoor Station.

Config
This feature allows you to import a configuration file of ID5101 Phone
settings into this device. The configuration file is in XML format.

you may previously save to a local directory
through the Export File option.
Upload
After selecting the configuration file, you can press Upload button to start the importing.
Export File
You can also use Export File to back up ID5101 settings on your phone.
Download
Press Download button to export, and you are prompted to click “Open” or “Save” for
NewConfiguration.xml.
If you click Save, the configuration file will be saved into a local directory.

APS
This APS page is used to set Enable/Disable
APS server. While the APS server is enabled,
system integrator or service provider would be
allowed to upgrade your firmware of ID5101
remotely.

APS Port
A port number that the phone uses to interact with APS server. Default is 21.
APS Period
A length of time that the phone sends the upgrade request to APS server periodically.
Default is 60 sec.

GAS DETECTOR
