It is a radio transmitter and receiver. When the phone is turned on, itreceives and transmits radio frequency (RF) energy. Depending on thetype of mobile phone you possess, it operates on different frequencyranges and employs commonly used modulation techniques. The exposure standard for mobile phones employs a unit ofmeasurement known as Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). TheSAR value is determined at the highest certified power level inlaboratory conditions, but the actual SAR level of the mobilephone while operating can be well below this value. This isbecause the mobile phone is designed to use the minimumpower required to reach the network. This phone is designed and manufactured not to exceed theemission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy setby the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the U.S.NEC_e132_EN.book Page 4 Thursday, June 29, 2006 2:01 PM
