Note To Installers
Power limitations with respect to 47 CFR part 90.279 or 90.205(g). This FCC rule part
limits the total effective radiated power depending on height above average terrain or
effective antenna height (EAH).
The table in these 2 rule parts 90.279 and 90.205(g) allows for ERP powers in the
range of 250 W ERP to 5 W ERP depending on the height EAH. The gain of the
antenna used, coax cable losses, and power output setting of the transmitter must be
accounted for in your calculations.
A separate calculation for RF exposure separation distance is also required. Please be
careful in the calculation of the power levels and antenna gains and coax cable losses
in respect to the proper license requirements for the channels listed in you licenses. It
is the responsibility of the licensee/ installer to see that the conditions of the license
are met. It is a violation of FCC rules to operate a manner contrary to the terms of the
license.
