SETUP INSTRUCTIONS  1. Aach antenna.   2.        Insert USB into computer.   3.         LEDs will illuminate.   3. INSTALLATION For maximum transmission range the antenna of the transmier should point upward (vercal polarizaon) and should be kept clear of obstrucons, parcularly metallic surfaces.    Do not expose the USB Transceiver to moisture. USB TRANSCEIVER QUICK START GUIDE This guide covers only the most basic operaons including connecons and commissioning.    1. INTRODUCTION The USB Transceiver is a setup and conguraon tool for various HWM devices. Please refer to your main product guide for more details.  HWM reserves the right to change any product specicaon without prior noce.
Warranty All equipment is warranted by HWM-Water Ltd to be free from defect in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one year from the data shipped to the original customer. This warranty in only valid if the equip-ment:  1. is  properly  installed  and  operated  under  condions  of  normal  use  in  accordance  with  HWM’s  published     instrucons set out in the manual; 2. is operated in compliance with federal, state, county and local codes and, 3. is operated in accordance with standard industry pracces. 4.   As  the  exclusive  remedy  for  any  breach  of  warranty,  HWM  will  repair  or  replace  (at  HWM’s  opon)  the  non-conforming equipment. HWM shall have no liability for incidental, special, punive or consequenal damages arising from any defect in, or malfuncon of, the equipment to any party. This warranty does not cover any costs incurred for the removal or installaon of equipment. If any problems occur, you should nofy HWM or its authorised representave, giving full details of the problem, the model and serial numbers of the equipment and the HWM invoice number the equipment was shipped against. You will receive technical advise and / or shipping instrucons depending on the nature of the problem. If the problem cannot be resolved you will be issued with an RMA number and a return address label so that the products can be shipped back to HWM for inspecon. Once we have reviewed and conrmed that the product is in warranty, we will contact you to conrm what acon we will be taking to resolve the issue.  All warranty and service acvity must be undertaken by an authorised representave of HWM. The express warranty is in-lieu of all other representaons or warranes, express, implied or statutory and    spe-cically excludes and warranty of merchantability or tness for a parcular purpose. There are no warranes that extend  beyond  the  descripon  on  the  face  hereof.  No pares  or  aliates  can  make  any  warranty,  promises or representaons either wrien or oral to the quality of products other than what is set out herein. Changes or  modicaons  not  expressly  approved by  the  party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment  Under Industry Canada regulaons, this radio transmier may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmier by Industry Canada. To reduce potenal radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful communicaon. This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operaon is subject to the following two condions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operaon of the device. OPERATION Power  Receiving from  antenna  Ready  Transming from  antenna Antenna    USB   Communicang with PC—in / out   ‘Power’ LED indicates device is plugged in to the PC and is on.    ‘Ready’ shows that the device is not currently performing an acon, so is available to start receiving or transming.    ‘Receiving’ and ‘Transming’ LEDs show the device is communicang with the target device.   The ‘Communicang’ LEDs indicate that the device is communicang with the PC;  Red = data in to the PC, Green = data from the PC.
