1. Aach antenna.
2. Insert USB into computer.
3. LEDs will illuminate.
3. INSTALLATION
For maximum transmission range the antenna of the transmier should point upward
(vercal polarizaon) and should be kept clear of obstrucons, parcularly metallic surfaces.
Do not expose the USB Transceiver to moisture.

This guide covers only the most basic operaons including connecons and commissioning.
1. INTRODUCTION
The USB Transceiver is a setup and conguraon tool for various HWM devices. Please refer
to your main product guide for more details.
HWM reserves the right to change any product specicaon without prior noce.
Warranty
All equipment is warranted by HWM-Water Ltd to be free from defect in materials and workmanship under normal
use for a period of one year from the data shipped to the original customer. This warranty in only valid if the equip-
ment:
1. is properly installed and operated under condions of normal use in accordance with HWM’s published
instrucons set out in the manual;
2. is operated in compliance with federal, state, county and local codes and,
3. is operated in accordance with standard industry pracces.

As the exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty, HWM will repair or replace (at HWM’s opon) the non-
conforming equipment. HWM shall have no liability for incidental, special, punive or consequenal damages arising
from any defect in, or malfuncon of, the equipment to any party. This warranty does not cover any costs incurred for
the removal or installaon of equipment.
If any problems occur, you should nofy HWM or its authorised representave, giving full details of the problem, the
model and serial numbers of the equipment and the HWM invoice number the equipment was shipped against. You
will receive technical advise and / or shipping instrucons depending on the nature of the problem. If the problem
cannot be resolved you will be issued with an RMA number and a return address label so that the products can be
shipped back to HWM for inspecon. Once we have reviewed and conrmed that the product is in warranty, we will
contact you to conrm what acon we will be taking to resolve the issue.
All warranty and service acvity must be undertaken by an authorised representave of HWM.
The express warranty is in-lieu of all other representaons or warranes, express, implied or statutory and spe-
cically excludes and warranty of merchantability or tness for a parcular purpose. There are no warranes that
extend beyond the descripon on the face hereof. No pares or aliates can make any warranty, promises or
representaons either wrien or oral to the quality of products other than what is set out herein.

Under Industry Canada regulaons, this radio transmier may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain
approved for the transmier by Industry Canada. To reduce potenal radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain
should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful
communicaon. This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operaon is subject to the following two
condions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that
may cause undesired operaon of the device.

‘Power’ LED indicates device is plugged in to the PC and is on.
‘Ready’ shows that the device is not currently performing an acon, so is available to
start receiving or transming.
‘Receiving’ and ‘Transming’ LEDs show the device is communicang with the target
device.
The ‘Communicang’ LEDs indicate that the device is communicang with the PC;
Red = data in to the PC, Green = data from the PC.
