Warnings
● Proper configuraon of all passwords and other security sengs is the responsibility of the
installer and/or end-user.
● In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety
regulaons of the naon and region. Please refer to technical specificaons for detailed
informaon.
● Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause
over-heang or a fire hazard.
● Please make sure that the plug is firmly connected to the power socket. When the product
is mounted on wall or ceiling, the device shall be firmly fixed.
● If smoke, odor, or noise rise from the device, turn off the power at once and unplug the
power cable, and contact the service center.
● Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the camera.
● Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
● Do not touch sensor modules with fingers. If cleaning is necessary, use a clean cloth with a
bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the camera will not be used for an extended period,
replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt.
● Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or smearing may occur
(which is not a malfuncon), and affect the sensor’s endurance at the same me.
● The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser equipment is in use,
make sure that the surface of sensor will not be exposed to the laser beam.
● Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operang temperature shall be -10°C to
+50°C), dusty, or damp locaons, and do not expose it to high electromagnec radiaon.
● To avoid heat accumulaon, ensure that there is good venlaon to the device.
● Keep the camera away from liquids.
● While in delivery, pack the camera in its original, or equivalent, packing, packing materials.
Or packing of the same texture.
● Regular part replacement: a few parts (e.g. electrolyc capacitor) of the equipment shall be
replaced regularly according to their average endurance. The average me varies because of
differences between operang environments and usage history, so regular checking is
recommended for all users. Please contact your dealer for more details.
● Improper use or replacement of the baery may result in hazard of explosion. Replace with
the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used baeries according to the instrucons
provided by the baery manufacturer.
● If the product does not work properly, please contact your dealer or the nearest service
center. Never aempt to disassemble the camera yourself. (We shall not assume any
responsibility for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.)

Seng the Network Camera over the LAN
Step 1
Wiring
Connect the camera to the network according to the following
figures. You can connect the camera directly to a computer, or
connect i t via a router or switch.
- Check the memory card status by tapping on the Storage Status
in the Device Sengs interface.
- If the memory card status displays as Uninialized, tap to
inialize it. The status will then change to Normal. You can then
start recording any event triggered video in the camera such as
moon detecon.
Recording
Launch the Hik-Connect app, tap a connected device and tap
Gallery buon to play back.
Playback
Launch the Hik-Connect app and tap Message to see the alarm
messages.

- Download and install the Hik-Connect app by searching the
“Hik-Connect” in App Store or Google PlayTM.
- Launch the app and register for a Hik-Connect user account.
- Log in Hik-Connect app aer registraon.

Modifying the IP Address
Step 3
To view and configure the camera via LAN (Local Area Network),
you need to connect the network camera in the same subnet
with your PC. You can use SADP to change the IP address of the
camera.
Note: you can also use client soware to modify IP address. Refer
to the user manual of client soware for detailed informaon.
- Run the SADP soware.
- Select the device. If the device is inacve, acvate it first.
- Change the device IP address to the same subnet with your
computer by either modifying the IP address manually or
checking the checkbox of Enable DHCP.
- Input the password to take effect the IP address modificaon.

Step 2
Acvate the Camera via Web Browser
- Input the IP address into the address bar of the web browser,
and click Enter to enter the acvaon interface.
Note:
The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.64.
For the camera enables the DHCP by default, you need to
acvate the camera via SADP soware and search the IP addrss.
- Create a password and input the password into the password
field.
STRONG PASSWORD RECOMMENDED– We highly recommend
you create a strong password of your own choosing (using a
minimum of 8 characters, including upper case leers, lower
case leers, numbers, and special characters) in order to
increase the security of your product. And we recommend you
reset your password regularly, especially in the high security
system, reseng the password monthly or weekly can beer
protect your product.
- Confirm the password.
- Click OK to save the password and enter the live view interface.
Acvate the Camera via SADP
- Get the SADP soware from the supplied disk or the official
website, and install the SADP according to the prompts.
- Run the SADP soware to search the online devices.
- Check the device status from the device list, and select the
inacve device.
- Create a password and input the password into the password
field.

- Open the web browser.
- In the browser address bar, input the IP address of the network
camera (the modified IP address), and press the Enter key to
enter the login interface.
- Input the user name and password. Click Login.
Note: The device IP address gets locked if the admin user
performs 7 failed password aempts (5 aempts for the
user/operator).
- Install the plug-in.
Note: You may have to close the web browser to finish the
installaon of the plug-in.
- Reopen the web browser aer the installaon of the plug-in and
repeat the steps to login.

Adding Device to Hik-Connect
- Use a network cable to connect the device with a router if the
device does not support Wi-Fi.
Note: Aer the device connects to the network, please wait one
minute before any operaon on the device using Hik-Connect
app.
- In the Hik-Connect app, tap “+” on the upper-right corner and
then scan the QR code of the device to add the device. You can
find the QR code on the mounng base of the device or on the
cover of the Quick Start Guide of the device in the device
package.
- Follow the prompts to set the network connecon and add the
device to your Hik-Connect account.
Step 3
Launch the Hik-Connect app and you can get the live view of the
connected devices.
