This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance 20cm between the radiator and your body. Safety Instruction These instructions are intended to ensure that a user can use the product correctly to avoid danger or property loss. Warnings ● Proper configuration of all passwords and other security settings is the responsibility of the installer and/or end-user. ● In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety regulations of the nation and region. Please refer to technical specifications for detailed information. ● Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause over-heating or a fire hazard. ● Please make sure that the plug is firmly connected to the power socket. When the product is mounted on wall or ceiling, the device shall be firmly fixed. ● If smoke, odor, or noise rise from the device, turn off the power at once and unplug the power cable, and contact the service center. Trim Ring Cautions ● Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the camera. ● Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock. ● Do not touch sensor modules with fingers. If cleaning is necessary, use a clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the camera will not be used for an extended period, replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt. ● Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or smearing may occur (which is not a malfunction), and affect the sensor’s endurance at the same time. ● The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser equipment is in use, make sure that the surface of sensor will not be exposed to the laser beam. ● Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operating temperature shall be -10°C to +50°C), dusty, or damp locations, and do not expose it to high electromagnetic radiation. ● To avoid heat accumulation, ensure that there is good ventilation to the device. ● Keep the camera away from liquids. ● While in delivery, pack the camera in its original, or equivalent, packing, packing materials. Or packing of the same texture. ● Regular part replacement: a few parts (e.g. electrolytic capacitor) of the equipment shall be replaced regularly according to their average endurance. The average time varies because of differences between operating environments and usage history, so regular checking is recommended for all users. Never attempt to disassemble the camera yourself. (We shall not assume any responsibility for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.) Bracket Name Description Power Input For the power supply, (12V ). Plug the power cable into the power input interface to power on the camera. Auto light source for night vision. The light is behind the anti-reflection panel. You can see the light when it is on. . Steady red: The camera is starting up. . Flashing blue: The camera is on and ready for the Wi-Fi connection. . Steady blue: The camera is running properly. . Flashing red: Network exception. IR Light LED Indicator Name Memory Card Slot 4 Align the screw holes on mounting surface Description For microSD card. If a memory card is used, video files will be stored in the memory card. You would need to initialize it via the Hik-Connect app/web browser/client software. RESET/WPS WPS: Set Wi-Fi connection via WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) function. RESET: Hold down the button for 10 seconds when the camera is starting up or rebooting. 13 with those on the bracket. STRONG PASSWORD RECOMMENDED– We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum of 8 characters, including upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters) in order to increase the security of your product. And we recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system, resetting the password monthly or weekly can better protect your product. - Confirm the password. - Click OK to save the password and enter the live view interface. - Create a password and input the password into the password field. And we recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system, resetting the password monthly or weekly can better protect your product. - Click OK to save the password. rk C able Step 3 Modifying the IP Address To view and configure the camera via LAN (Local Area Network), you need to connect the network camera in the same subnet with your PC. You can use SADP to change the IP address of the camera. Note: you can also use client software to modify IP address. Refer to the user manual of client software for detailed information. - Run the SADP software. - Select the device. If the device is inactive, activate it first. - Change the device IP address to the same subnet with your computer by either modifying the IP address manually or checking the checkbox of Enable DHCP. - Input the password to take effect the IP address modification. or Network Camera 半球 System Requirement Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP SP1 and above version CPU: 2.0 GHz or higher RAM: 1G or higher Display: 1024×768 resolution or higher Web Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0 and above version, Apple Safari 5.0.2 and above version, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 and above version and Google Chrome 18 and above version - Open the web browser. - In the browser address bar, input the IP address of the network camera (the modified IP address), and press the Enter key to enter the login interface. - Input the user name and password. Click Login. Note: The device IP address gets locked if the admin user performs 7 failed password attempts (5 attempts for the user/operator). Computer Step 2 Activate the Camera via SADP Activate the Camera via Web Browser - Input the IP address into the address bar of the web browser, and click Enter to enter the activation interface. Note: The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.64. For the camera enables the DHCP by default, you need to 10 - Get the SADP software from the supplied disk or the official website, and install the SADP according to the prompts. - Run the SADP software to search the online devices. - Check the device status from the device list, and select the inactive device. 11 - Install the plug-in. Note: You may have to close the web browser to finish the installation of the plug-in. - Reopen the web browser after the installation of the plug-in and repeat the steps to login. 12 13 14 Operating via Hik-Connect App Step 3 Step 1 Hik-Connect Setup Live View - Download and install the Hik-Connect app by searching the “Hik-Connect” in App Store or Google PlayTM. - Launch the app and register for a Hik-Connect user account. - Log in Hik-Connect app after registration. Launch the Hik-Connect app and you can get the live view of the connected devices. Step 2 - Check the memory card status by tapping on the Storage Status in the Device Settings interface. - If the memory card status displays as Uninitialized, tap to initialize it. The status will then change to Normal. You can then start recording any event triggered video in the camera such as motion detection. Adding Device to Hik-Connect - Use a network cable to connect the device with a router if the device does not support Wi-Fi. Note: After the device connects to the network, please wait one minute before any operation on the device using Hik-Connect app. - In the Hik-Connect app, tap “+” on the upper-right corner and then scan the QR code of the device to add the device. You can find the QR code on the mounting base of the device or on the cover of the Quick Start Guide of the device in the device package. - Follow the prompts to set the network connection and add the device to your Hik-Connect account. Recording Playback Launch the Hik-Connect app, tap a connected device and tap Gallery button to play back.
