EN4Powering the receiver with an ESCBattery To MotorElectronicSpeed ControlSteering ServoReceiverSteering ServoThrottle ServoBatteryReceiverPowering the receiver with a separate receiver packFailsafeThe throttle failsafe position is set during binding. In the unlikely event that transmitter signal is lost during use, the receiver will drive the the throttle servo to its pre-programmed failsafe position. If you power on the receiver before powering on the transmitter, the receiver enters failsafe mode. Normal control resumes when you power on the transmitter.CAUTION: Failsafe activates only in the event that signal is lost from the transmitter. Failsafe does NOT activate in the event that the receiver loses battery power.Receiver Installation and SetupThe Spektrum SR2100’s micro size and lack of antenna, allows for easy installations. Simply install the receiver in your vehicle using double-sided foam servo tape.
EN5Binding Receiver to TransmitterIn order to operate, the receiver must be bound to the transmitter. Binding is the process of programming the receiver to recognize the GUID (Globally Unique Identifi er) code of a single specifi c transmitter. When areceiver is bound to atransmitter/model memory, the receiver will only respond to that specifi c transmitter/model memory.Binding 1. Push and hold the bind button on the receiver while powering up the receiver. The orange LED will fl ash continuously, indicating that the receiver is in bind mode. 2. With all channels in the desired preset failsafe position (normally neutral), put your transmitter in bind mode. Continue holding the failsafe position until the binding process is complete.3. The bind process is complete when the orange LED on the receiver is solid. CAUTION: When the bind process is complete, the throttle and steering channels are active. Keep hands and loose objects away from all rotating parts. You must rebind the transmitter and receiver if you:• Change the servo reverse after binding• Want to use the receiver with a different model memory• Are using the receiver with a DSMR transmitter and you change the frame rate in the transmitterAux channelThe Aux channel can operate as extra servo channel, or as a power supply for a personal transponder.• If 5.5ms frame rate is selected in the transmitter, only two channels, Steering and Throttle, are operational. The Aux channel can be used to power a personal transponder, a fan or lights. • If a frame rate other than 5.5ms is selected, the Aux channel will operate as extra servo channel.• A Y-harness (SPM1516) may be used to operate two auxilary items from one servo port.IMPORTANT: You must re-bind any time you change the frame rate in the transmitter. IMPORTANT: The DX4R Pro DX5R, Dx5 Pro or DX6R are required for 5.5ms frame rate.
