module installation instructions
NGRP-AOLF Installation manual
DISCLAMER:
This procedure is only allowed by
personnel trained and authorized by
INID.
Prerequisites:
Perform these actions on a workbench in a
suitable location. Take appropriate measures
against ESD damages of the equipment.
Always disconnect the power supply of the
unit.
Step by step instructions
1. Place the reader with it's front on the
workbench.
2. Remove the backplate if present.
3. Ensure the power to the reader is
disconnected – remove the eight pin
connector from the reader if any wires
are connected to it.
4. Remove the four screws that keep the
electronics cover on the reader in the
order specified:
5. Remove the electronics cover.
6. Remove the printed circuit board from
the reader.
7. Fit the NGRP-AOLF module on the
reader printed circuit board. Pay
attention to the correct orientation:
8. Make sure that all pins are properly
lined up and inserted:
9. Place the reader printed circuit board
with the NGRP-AOLF module back in
the reader enclosure.
10. Replace the electronics cover over the
four pins with the square opening over
the tamper sensor near pin 1 of the
8 pin connector.
11. Replace and tighten the four
electronics cover screws in the reverse
order listed in step 4. Avoid excessive
force to prevent damage to the
housing and screw posts.
12. Connect power to the reader, load the
parameters for the low frequency
module and perform a functionality
test with the appropriate ISO14443
and low frequency proximity cards.
The reader will beep on a successful
card read.
13. Add additional product label:
14. Remount or repackage the reader with
the appropriate labels.
