Introduction

3. MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS COMPLETELY CHARGED PRIOR TO FIRST USE FOR MAXIMUM BATTERY
LIFE.
4. Study the connection diagram.
5. Ensure the Master Volume on Explorer is at zero.
6. Connect your devices.
7. Raise the volume to a comfortable level.
8. Return the Master Volume to zero when you are finished using Explorer.

Rechargeable Batteries
Rechargeable lead-acid batteries are the same type used in automobiles. As with your car battery, how you use this battery
has a significant impact on its lifespan. With proper use and treatment, a lead-acid battery can last for years. Here are some
recommendations for getting the longest life from the internal battery.
General Usage
Charge fully before use.
Charge fully before storing.
Storage For best product longevity, do not store at exceedingly hot (greater than 90°F / 32°C) or exceedingly
cold (less than 32°F / 0°C) temperatures.
It is acceptable to leave your sound system plugged in. This will not overcharge the battery.
If you leave the battery level low and do not charge it for 6 months, it may permanently lose capacity.
Repair If the battery fails to charge, check the fuse near the power cable input. If the fuse is not intact, please
replace it.
The battery can be replaced (details in the Technical Specifications).

Disposal Bring the unit to a recycling center or dispose of in accordance with local ordinances.

Features
1. Microphone Input with Volume Control (1/4"): This mono input accepts a 1/4" input such as a microphone, guitar, or
other musical instrument.
2. Auxiliary input: This stereo 3.5 mm (1/8”) input can be used to connect a CD player, MP3 player, or other audio
source.
3. Bluetooth Button: Press the Bluetooth button to disconnect a paired Bluetooth device.
4. Speaker Link: Connect two or more Explorers together using a 1/8” (3.5 mm) stereo aux cable from the Link Output of
one Explorer to the Aux Input of the second Explorer. A 2’ cable is included but a longer one can be purchased from a
local electronics retailer.
5. Bluetooth Icon: The Bluetooth icon will not be lit when Explorer is first powered on (unless it was previously paired
with a device). The Bluetooth icon will be lit solid when a device is paired to Explorer.
6. Master Volume Control: This adjusts the speaker’s main mix volume, which includes the Microphone Input, Auxiliary
Input, Radio, and the audio of a paired Bluetooth device.

7. AM/FM Presets: Store a favorite radio station and quickly tune to a preset radio station. There are 6 numeric positions
to store AM band presets and 12 numeric positions to store FM band presets (6 numeric positions for FM1 and 6
numeric positions for FM2).
To add a preset:
A. Select either the AM, FM1, or FM2 band and then use the Radio buttons to select the desired radio station.
B. Press and hold a numeric preset button to assign the current station to that preset number. The display will show
“SAVE” to show the station has been saved. To use an added preset, tap a preset number once lightly to go to the
stored radio station.
8. Radio Selector: This button sets the Radio to AM, FM1, FM2 or turns the radio off.
9. Decimal Icon: The decimal icon will be lit when Explorer is powered on. The decimal icon will not be lit when Explorer
is powered off.
10. Display: Displays the current radio station, battery status, and Bluetooth status.
11. Charging Indicator: With the battery charging indicator, when the power cable is connected, movement of the top
battery segment shows the battery is charging. When fully charged, all battery segments will be lit without blinking.
When the power cable is disconnected, the battery segment shows the level of the battery.
12. Lightning Bolt Icon: The lightning bolt icon will illuminate when the IEC power cable is connected to wall power.
13. Tune/Track Buttons: Tap these buttons to tune in a radio station or go to the previous/next track on a Bluetooth
connected device. To "seek" (jump to the next available station), hold either button down for a few seconds until it
starts to seek a station. The unit will remember the last station it was on and start at that station when powered off and
on again.
14. Play/Pause: Press to play or pause a track from a connected
Bluetooth device.
15. USB Charging Port: Connect your device’s charge cable here
to charge it. USB charging only functions when the unit’s power
is turned on.
Note: To charge smartphones and tablets faster, put the
device’s screen to sleep.
16. Antenna: Adjust this FM antenna to get the best radio
reception. Fold this down when not using the radio and when moving the unit.
17. NFC (near-field communication): Touch and briefly hold your supported and enabled
device to the NFC logo to pair the device.
18. Power Cable Input (IEC): Insert the included power cable here to charge the unit. Note
that the Explorer can be used with the power cable while it simultaneously charges the
battery.
19. Power ON/OFF Switch: Turns Explorer on or off. Please note that while Explorer is
connected to a power source, it does not need to be powered on to charge the battery.
When the power is on, the display will show the decimal icon or your current radio station.
Pairing a Bluetooth Device
1. Turn on your Bluetooth device.
2. Power on Explorer. If you have previously connected to another Bluetooth device, Explorer will reconnect. To
disconnect pairing if the Bluetooth icon is lit solid, press and release the Bluetooth button.
3. Navigate to your Bluetooth device’s setup screen, find “Explorer” and connect.
Note: If your Bluetooth device prompts for a pairing code, enter “0000”.
4. To disconnect pairing while the Bluetooth icon is lit solid, press and release the Bluetooth button.
5. To connect to another Bluetooth device, repeat step 3.
Pairing a Bluetooth Device Using NFC
NFC (near-field communication) allows data exchange from devices, such as pairing, by gently bumping them together. Check
in your device’s manual to see if this feature is supported.
To use NFC to pair with Explorer:
1. In order to use NFC, your device must be turned on and unlocked.
2. Enter your device’s Settings menu and check that NFC is turned On (one time step).
3. Power on Explorer.
4. Touch and briefly hold your device to the NFC logo.
5. Follow the pairing instructions that appear on your phone. If a passcode is required, enter “0000”.
6. To unpair, gently bump your device against the NFC logo located on Explorer’s top panel.
To use the free Block Rocker app, navigate Google Play on your Android device or the App Store on your iOS device, and
search for ION Block Rocker. This app provides EQ, sound effects, and more!

EU Units: Explorer will enter low-power “sleep”
mode after 50 minutes if no Bluetooth music or
input source is playing through it. To resume
normal operation, press a front panel button or

Troubleshooting
If the sound is distorted: Try lowering the volume control of your sound source, musical instrument, or microphone. Also, try
to reduce the overall volume of Explorer using the Master Volume knob.
If there is too much bass: Try adjusting the tone or EQ control on your sound source to lower the bass level. This will allow
you to play the music louder before clipping (distortion) occurs. You can also control EQ using the free ION Block Rocker app
for iOS and Android.
If there is a high-pitched whistling noise when using microphones: This is probably feedback. Point the microphone away
from the speaker.
If there is poor AM reception: To adjust AM reception, move entire unit.
If you can’t hear the microphone over the music volume: Turn down the music volume from your source.
If you can’t play music from a flash drive: The USB port is only for charging USB devices.

Baterías recargables

Características

7. Preprogramaciones de AM/FM: Memorice una emisora de radio favorita y sintonice rápidamente una
emisora preprogramada. Hay 6 posiciones numéricas para almacenar presets de banda AM y 12 posiciones
numéricas para almacenar presets de banda FM (6 posiciones numéricas para FM1 y 6 posiciones numéricas
para FM2).
Para agregar una emisora preprogramada:
A. Seleccione ya sea la banda de AM, FM1 o FM2 y luego use los botones del sintonizador para seleccionar
la emisora de radio deseada.
B. Pulse y retenga un botón numérico de preprogramación para asignar la emisora que está escuchando a

15. USB estación: Conecte aquí el cable de carga de su dispositivo para cargarlo. La carga por USB funciona
solamente cuando la unidad está encendida.
Nota: Para cargar sus teléfonos inteligentes (smartphones) y tabletas más rápido, ponga la pantalla de su
dispositivo en estado de reposo.
16. Antena: Ajuste esta antena de FM para obtener la mejor
recepción de las emisoras de radio. Dóblela cuando no
esté utilizando la radio o al trasladar la unidad.
Nota: Para evitar daños accidentales, recomendamos girar
la antena solo cuando está posicionada horizontalmente.
Asimismo, retraiga la antena cuando no está usando el
sintonizador.
17. NFC: (comunicación de campo cercano): Toque y acerque
brevemente su dispositivo habilitado y soportado al logo
de NFC para aparearlo.
18. Tapa de fusibles: Inserte aquí el cable de alimentación incluido para cargar la
unidad. Tenga en cuenta que el Explorer puede funcionar con el cable de corriente
mientras se carga simultáneamente la batería.
19. Interruptor de encendido/apagado: Enciende y apaga el Explorer. Tenga en
cuenta que mientras el Explorer está conectado a un suministro eléctrico, no es
necesario encenderlo para que cargue la batería. Cuando el altavoz está

Cómo aparear un dispositivo Bluetooth

Unidades EU: El explorador entrará en un modo
de "hibernación" de bajo consumo de energía
tras 50 minutos sin reproducir música mediante
Bluetooth o a través de la fuente de entrada.

Cómo aparear un dispositivo Bluetooth usando NFC
La tecnología NFC (comunicación de campo cercano) permite el intercambio de datos entre dispositivos, tal como el
apareamiento, juntándolos suavemente. Compruebe en el manual de su dispositivo si se soporta esta característica.
Para usar NFC a fin de aparear con Explorer:
1. A fin de usar NFC, su dispositivo debe estar encendido y desbloqueado.
2. Abra el menú Settings (Configuración) de su dispositivo y verifique que NFC esté On (Activado) (este paso solo se
realiza una vez).
3. Encienda el Explorer.
4. Toque y acerque brevemente su dispositivo del logo de NFC.
5. Siga las instrucciones de apareamiento que aparecen en su teléfono. Si se requiere una contraseña, ingrese “0000”.
6. Para desaparear, toque suavemente con su dispositivo el logo de NFC ubicado en el panel superior del Explorer.

Solución de problemas
Si el sonido está distorsionado: Pruebe bajando el control de volumen de su fuente de sonido, instrumento
musical o micrófono. Pruebe también reduciendo el volumen general del Explorer utilizando la perilla de volumen
maestro.
Si hay demasiados graves: Intente ajustando el control de tono o ecualización de su fuente de sonido para reducir
el nivel de graves. De esta forma podrá reproducir la música con más volumen antes de que se produzca el recorte
(distorsión). También puede controlar la ecualización mediante la aplicación gratuita ION Block Rocker para iOS y
Android.
Si hay un silbido agudo cuando se usan micrófonos: Probablemente sea realimentación. Apunte los micrófono
apartándolos del altavoz.
Si hay recepción pobre de AM: Para ajustar la recepción de AM, mueva la unidad completa.
Si no puede oír el micrófono por arriba del volumen de la música: Disminuya el volumen de la música en su
fuente.
Si no logra reproducir música desde una unidad flash: Los puerto USB sea solo para cargar dispositivos USB.

la batterie de votre automobile, la manière dont vous l'utilisez a un impact direct sur sa durée de vie. Cependant,
avec une bonne utilisation la pile au plomb peut avoir une durée de vie de plusieurs années. Voici quelques
recommandations pour prolonger au maximum la durée de vie de la pile interne.

Chargez complètement la batterie avant utilisation.
Chargez complètement la batterie avant d’entreposer l’enceinte.
Entreposage Pour optimiser la longévité du produit, ne pas entreposer dans des températures extrêmement
chaudes (supérieur à 32 °C (90 °F)) ou extrêmement froides (moins de 0 °C (32 °F)).
Il n’y a aucun problème à laisser l’enceinte branchée. Cela ne surchargera pas la batterie.
Si vous laissez le niveau de charge de la batterie s’affaiblir sans la recharger pendant 6 mois,
elle risque de perdre sa capacité de charge de façon permanente.
Réparation Si la batterie ne parvient plus à se recharger, vérifiez le fusible situé près de l'entrée du câble
d'alimentation. Si le fusible n'est pas intact, veuillez le remplacer.
La batterie peut être remplacée (veuillez consulter la section Spécifications techniques).

Caractéristiques
1. Microphone avec commande de volume (1/4 po) : Cette entrée mono peut accueillir un câble de 1/4 po
pour microphone, guitare ou un autre instrument de musique.
2. Entrée auxiliaire : Cette entrée stéréo 3,5mm (1/8”) po permettent de brancher un lecteur de disques
compacts, un lecteur MP3 ou autres sources audio.
3. Touche Bluetooth : Appuyez sur le bouton Bluetooth du pour déconnecter le périphérique Bluetooth
branché.
4. Raccordement d’enceinte (Link) : Reliez deux enceintes Explorer ou plus, en branchant une extrémité du
câble auxiliaire stéréo de 3,5 mm à la sortie Link d'une des enceintes puis l’autre extrémité à l’entrée auxiliaire
de la seconde Explorer. Un câble A 2 est fourni, mais vous pouvez vous en procurer un plus long chez un
détaillant électronique local.
5. Icône Bluetooth : L’icône Bluetooth ne sera pas allumée lorsque l’enceinte Explorer est d'abord mise sous
tension (à moins qu'elle n’ait été jumelée avec un périphérique auparavant). L’icône Bluetooth s’allume
lorsqu'un périphérique est jumelé à l’enceinte Explorer.
6. Volume général : Ce bouton permet de régler le volume du mix général qui comprend l'entrée microphone,
l’entrée auxiliaire, le syntoniseur et l'audio d'un périphérique Bluetooth jumelé.

7. Préréglages AM/FM : Ces touches vous permettent de mémoriser une station de radio préférée et de
syntoniser rapidement sur une station de radio programmée. Il y a 6 positions numériques pour les stations
AM et 12 positions numériques pour les stations FM (6 positions numériques pour les stations FM1 et
positions numériques pour les stations FM2).
Pour mémoriser une station :
A. Sélectionnez la bande AM, FM1 ou FM2, puis utilisez les touches Radio afin de syntoniser la fréquence
de la station désirée.
B. Enfoncez et maintenez une des touches de préréglage afin d’assigner la station à ce numéro de
préréglage. L'écran affiche « SAVE » afin d’indiquer que la station a été mémorisée. Pour utiliser un
préréglage, tapez un numéro de préréglage une fois légèrement pour syntoniser la station mémorisée.
8. Sélecteur de bande radio : Ce sélecteur permet de syntoniser la bande AM, FM1, FM2, ou et permet
d’éteindre la radio.
9. Point decimal: Ce point decimal se allume lorsque Explorer est sous tension. Ce point decimal ne sera pas
allumé lorsque Explorer est éteint.
10. Écran : Affiche la station radio en cours, l’état de charge de la batterie, l’état Bluetooth et l’état de la
connexion Link.
11. Indicateur de charge : Lorsque le câble d'alimentation est branché, le mouvement du segment supérieur de
la batterie de l'indicateur de charge indique que la batterie est en charge. Lorsque complètement chargée,
tous les segments de la batterie s'allument sans clignoter. Lorsque le câble d'alimentation est débranché, le
segment de l'indicateur de charge indique le niveau de charge.
12. Icône éclair : L’icône éclair s'allume lorsque le câble d’alimentation CEI est branché à une prise secteur.
13. Touches de syntonisation/pistes : Ces touches permettent de syntoniser une station de radio ou de passer
à la piste précédente/suivante sur un périphérique Bluetooth connecté. Pour balayer la bande (passer à la
prochaine station), maintenez une de ces touches enfoncée quelques secondes, jusqu’à ce qu'il commence à
rechercher la prochaine station disponible. L’appareil mémorise la dernière station syntonisée et s’ouvre sur
cette station lorsqu’il est remis sous tension.
14. Lancer/interrompre la lecture : Appuyez sur cette touche pour lancer la lecture ou interrompre une piste sur
un périphérique Bluetooth connecté.
15. Port de rechargement USB : Branchez le câble de rechargement de votre périphérique à cette prise pour le
recharger. Le rechargement de la pile par la connexion USB fonctionne uniquement lorsque l’appareil est
allumé.
Remarque : Pour recharger plus rapidement vos
smartphones et tablettes, mettez l'écran de votre
périphérique en veille.
16. Antenne : Ajustez cette antenne FM afin d’obtenir la
meilleure réception radio. Repliez celle-ci lorsque vous
n'utilisez pas la radio ou que vous déplacez l'appareil.
17. NFC (communication en champ proche (CCP)) :
Touchez brièvement le logo CCP avec le périphérique
équipé de la technologie CCP afin de le jumeler à
l’appareil.
18. Couvercle de fusible : Branchez le câble d'alimentation inclus à cette entrée pour
recharger l’appareil. Veuillez noter que l’enceinte Explorer peut être utilisée lorsque
la batterie se recharge.
19. Interrupteur Marche/Arrêt: Permet de mettre le Explorer sous et hors tension.
Veuillez noter que lorsque le Explorer est branché à une source d’alimentation, il
peut recharger la pile sans être sous tension. Lorsque l'appareil est sous tension,
l'écran affiche l'icône decimal ou la station de radio sélectionnée.
Jumelage d'un périphérique Bluetooth
1. Veuillez mettre votre périphérique Bluetooth sous tension.
2. Mettez l’enceinte Explorer sous tension. Si vous avez précédemment jumelé un autre périphérique Bluetooth,
l'enceinte Explorer se reconnectera à cet appareil. Pour supprimer la connexion lorsque l'icône Bluetooth est
allumée, enfoncez puis relâchez la touche Bluetooth.
3. Accédez à l'écran de configuration de votre périphérique Bluetooth, recherchez « Explorer» et lancez le
jumelage.
Remarque : Si votre périphérique Bluetooth vous demande d’entrer un code de jumelage, entrez « 0000 ».
4. Pour supprimer la connexion lorsque l'icône Bluetooth est allumée, enfoncez puis relâchez la touche
Bluetooth.
5. Pour jumeler un autre périphérique Bluetooth, répétez les étape 3.

Appareils européens : Lorsqu’aucune source
audio provenant de la connexion Bluetooth ou

Jumelage Bluetooth à l’aide d'un module CCP
La communication en champ proche (CCP) permet l'échange de données entre appareils, tel que le jumelage, en
effleurant l’un des appareils contre l’autre. Vérifiez le guide d’utilisation de votre appareil afin de déterminer si cette
fonctionnalité est prise en charge.
Jumelage au Explorer à l’aide de la technologie CCP :
1. Afin d'utiliser la fonctionnalité CCP, le périphérique doit être activé et son écran déverrouillé.
2. Entrez dans le menu Réglages de votre périphérique et vérifiez que la fonction CCP est activée (à faire
uniquement lors du premier jumelage).
3. Mettez l’enceinte Explorer sous tension.
4. Touchez brièvement le logo CCP avec votre périphérique.
5. Suivez les instructions de jumelage qui s'affichent sur votre périphérique. Si votre appareil vous demande
d’entrer un mot de passe, entrez « 0000 ».
6. Pour supprimer la connexion, effleurez le périphérique contre le logo CCP situé sur le panneau supérieur de
l’enceinte Explorer.
Pour utiliser l'application gratuite Block Rocker, accédez à Google Play à partir de votre appareil Android, ou à l’App
Store à partir de votre appareil iOS, et recherchez « ION Block Rocker ». Cette application permet de modifier les
réglages d’égalisation, d’ajouter des effets, et bien plus !
Guide de dépannage
Lorsqu’il y a de la distorsion : Essayez de diminuer le volume du périphérique audio, de l’instrument de musique
ou du microphone. Essayez également de réduire le volume général de l’enceinte Explorer.
Lorsqu’il y a trop de basses fréquences : Essayez de régler le niveau de tonalité et d’égalisation sur l’appareil de
source d’entrée audio afin de diminuer le niveau des basses fréquences. Cela vous permettra d'augmenter le
volume de la musique avant que l'écrêtage se produise. Vous pouvez également modifier les réglages d’égalisation
en utilisant l'application gratuite ION Block Rocker pour iOS et Android.
Lorsqu’il y a un sifflement aigu lors de l’utilisation des microphones : Ceci est probablement causé par l’effet
Larsen (feedback). Dirigez les microphone loin des haut-parleurs.
Lorsqu’il y a une mauvaise réception AM : Pour ajuster la réception AM, déplacer tout l'appareil.
Si vous ne pouvez entendre le microphone au-dessus de la musique : diminuez le volume de la musique de la
source audio.
Si vous ne parvenez pas à lire le matériel sur la clé USB : Les port USB est uniquement à recharger les
périphériques USB.

utilizzo adeguato, una batteria al piombo-acido può durare per anni. Ecco alcune raccomandazioni per garantire la

Come riporre
l’apparecchio
Per la massima longevità del prodotto, evitare di riporlo a temperature eccessivamente elevate

L'impianto audio può essere lasciato collegato. Così facendo la batteria non si sovraccarica.

7. Preset AM/FM: consentono di memorizzare una stazione radio preferita e di sintonizzarsi rapidamente su una
stazione radio predefinita. Sono disponibili 6 posizioni numeriche per memorizzare preset su banda AM e 12
per memorizzare preset su banda FM (6 posizioni numeriche per FM1 e 6 per FM2).
Per aggiungere un preset:
A. Selezionare la banda AM, FM1 o FM2 e quindi servirsi dei tasti del sintonizzatore Radio per selezionare la
stazione radio desiderata.
B. Tenere premuto un tasto numerico preset per assegnare la stazione corrente a tale numero di preset. A
display compare “SAVE” per mostrare che la stazione è stata salvata. Per utilizzare un preset aggiunto,
selezionare leggermente un numero di preset una volta per recarsi alla stazione radio memorizzata.
8. Selettore radio: questo interruttore imposta il sintonizzatore su AM, FM1, FM2, o spegne la radio.
9. Punto decimale: Questo punto decimale si illumine quando Explorer è acceso. Questo punto decimale non si
illumine quando Explorer è spento.
10. Display: mostra la stazione radio corrente, lo stato della batteria, lo stato del Bluetooth e quello del
collegamento.
11. Indicatori di carica: quando il cavo di alimentazione è collegato, il movimento del segmento superiore della
batteria a livello dell'indicatore di carica mostra che la batteria si sta caricando. Una volta completata la
ricarica, tutti i segmenti della batteria saranno accesi senza lampeggiare. Quando il cavo di alimentazione è
scollegato, i segmenti della batteria mostrano il livello di carica.
12. Icona a fulmine: l'icona a fulmine si illumina quando il cavo di alimentazione IEC è collegato a una presa a
parete.
13. Tasti Tune/Track (sintonia/traccia): toccare questi tasti per sintonizzare una stazione radio o per passare
alla traccia precedente/successiva su un dispositivo Bluetooth collegato. Per effettuare la "scansione"
(passare alla stazione disponibile successiva), tenere premuto uno di questi tasti per alcuni secondi fino a
quando non inizia a cercare una stazione. L'apparecchio ricorderà l'ultima stazione selezionata e ripartirà da
tale stazione in caso di spegnimento e riaccensione.
14. Play/Pause: premere questo tasto per riprodurre o mettere in pausa una traccia da un dispositivo Bluetooth
collegato.
15. Porte di carica USB: collegare a questo livello il cavo di
ricarica del dispositivo per ricaricarlo. La carica tramite
USB funziona unicamente quando l'apparecchio è acceso.
Nota bene: per caricare smartphone e tablet più in fretta,
mettere lo schermo del dispositivo in stand-by.
16. Antenna: regolare questa antenna FM per ottenere la
migliore ricezione radio. Piegare l'antenna quando non si
utilizza la radio e quando si sposta l'apparecchio.
17. NFC (comunicazione in prossimità): toccare e tenere brevemente premuto il
dispositivo abilitato contro il logo NFC per collegare il dispositivo.
18. Coperchio dei fusibili: per caricare l’apparecchio, inserire a questo livello il cavo di
alimentazione in dotazione. Il Explorer può essere utilizzato con il cavo di
alimentazione caricando contemporaneamente le batterie.
19. Interruttore di alimentazione ON/OFF: accende o spegne il Explorer. Va notato
che quando il Explorer è collegato ad una fonte di alimentazione, non deve essere
necessariamente acceso per caricare la batteria. Quando l'alimentazione è accesa,
a display compare l'icona decimale o la stazione radio corrente.
Accoppiamento di un dispositivo Bluetooth
1. Accendere il dispositivo Bluetooth.
2. Accendere il Explorer. Se in precedenza è stato collegato a un altro dispositivo Bluetooth, il Explorer vi si
ricollegherà. Per annullare il collegamento, se l'icona Bluetooth è accesa in maniera fissa, premere e rilasciare
il tasto Bluetooth.
3. Navigare nella schermata di configurazione del dispositivo Bluetooth, trovare “Explorer” e collegarlo.
Nota bene: se il dispositivo Bluetooth richiede un codice, digitare “0000”.
4. Per annullare il collegamento, quando l'icona Bluetooth è accesa in maniera fissa, premere e rilasciare il tasto
Bluetooth.
5. Per collegarlo ad un altro dispositivo Bluetooth, ripetere i passo 3.

Apparecchi UE: se non viene riprodotta alcuna
musica Bluetooth o alcuna fonte di ingresso,
dopo 50 minuti Explorer entrerà in modalità di
risparmio energetico. Per riprendere il
funzionamento normale, premere un tasto del
pannello anteriore o riprodurre audio tramite una
fonte Bluetooth collegata.

Accoppiamento di un dispositivo Bluetooth servendosi dell'NFC
L'NFC (comunicazione in prossimità) consente lo scambio di dati tra dispositivi, come nell'accoppiamento,
mettendoli delicatamente insieme. Verificare nel manuale del proprio dispositivo se questa funzione è supportata.
Per utilizzare l'NFC per l'accoppiamento con il Explorer:
1. Per utilizzare l'NFC, il dispositivo deve essere acceso e sbloccato.
2. Entrare nel menu Settings del dispositivo e verificare che NFC sia acceso (On) (questo passaggio andrà
effettuato una sola volta).
3. Accendere il Explorer.
4. Toccare e mantenere brevemente il dispositivo contro il logo NFC.
5. Seguire le istruzioni di accoppiamento che compaiono sul telefono. Se viene richiesta una password, digitare
“0000”.
6. Spingere delicatamente il dispositivo contro il logo NFC situato sul pannello superiore del Explorer.
Per utilizzare l'app gratuita Explorer, recarsi su Google Play sul proprio dispositivo Android o sull'App Store del
proprio dispositivo iOS e cercare ION Explorer. Questa app offre EQ, effetti audio e molto altro!
Risoluzione di problemi
Il suono è distorto: provare ad abbassare il volume della propria fonte audio, dello strumento musicale o del
microfono. Inoltre, provare a ridurre il volume complessivo del Explorer utilizzando la manopola Volume Master.
Eccessivi bassi: provare a regolare la tonalità o il comando EQ a livello della fonte audio per abbasare il livello dei
bassi. Ciò permetterà di suonare la musica più forte prima che salti (che si verifichi distorsione). Si può inoltre
controllare l'EQ utilizzando l'app gratuita ION Explorer per iOS e Android.

2. AUX-Eingang: Dieser 3,5mm (1/8”) Stereo-Eingang kann dazu verwendet werden, einen CD-Player, einen

7. AM/FM-Presets: Speichern Sie Ihren Lieblings-Radiosender und schalten Sie schnell auf einen
voreingestellten Preset- Radiosender. Es gibt 6 numerische Positionen, auf die Sie AM-Band-Presets
speichern können und 12 Positionen, auf die Sie FM-Band-Presets speichern können (6 für FM1 und 6 für
FM2).
So fügen Sie ein Preset hinzu:
A. Wählen Sie entweder das AM-, FM1 oder FM2-Band und betätigen dann die Radio-Tasten, um den
gewünschten Radiosender auszuwählen.
B. Halten Sie eine numerische Preset-Taste gedrückt, um den aktuellen Sender dieser Preset-Nummer
zuzuweisen. Auf dem Display erscheint "GESPEICHERT", um anzuzeigen, dass der Sender gespeichert
wurde. Um ein hinzugefügtes Preset zu verwenden, tippen Sie einmal vorsichtig auf die Preset-Nummer,
um zum gespeicherten Radiosender zu gehen.
8. Radiowahlschalter: Diese Taste stellt den Radio auf AM, FM1, FM2, oder schaltet das Radio aus.
9. Dezimalpunkt: Dieser Dezimalpunkt leuchtet, wenn Explorer eingeschaltet ist. Dieser Dezimalpunkt wird nicht

11. Ladeanzeigen: Wenn das Netzkabel angeschlossen ist, zeigt die Akkuladeanzeige eine Bewegung am oberen
Akkusegment an, um darauf hinzuweisen, dass der Akku nun aufgeladen wird. Wenn das Gerät voll
aufgeladen ist, werden alle Akkusegmente durchgehend leuchten (ohne zu blinken). Wenn das Netzkabel
abgezogen wird, zeigt das Akkusegment den Akkuladestand.
12. Blitzsymbol: Das Blitzsymbol leuchtet auf, wenn das IEC-Netzkabel an eine Steckdose angesteckt ist.
13. Tune/Track-Tasten: Tippen Sie auf diese Tasten, um einen Radiosender einzustellen oder zum
vorherigen/nächsten Track auf einem via Bluetooth angeschlossenen Gerät zu springen. Um zu "suchen" (also
zum nächsten verfügbaren Sender zu springen), halten Sie eine dieser Tasten einige Sekunden lang gedrückt,
bis die Suche nach einem Sender beginnt. Das Gerät wird sich an den zuletzt gespielten Sender erinnern und
die Wiedergabe dieses Senders aufnehmen, wenn Sie das Gerät aus- und wieder einschalten.
14. Wiedergabe/Pause: Drücken Sie diese Taste, um einen Track eines angeschlossenen Bluetooth-Geräts zu
spielen oder zu pausieren.
15. USB-Anschluss: Schließen Sie das Ladekabel Ihres Geräts hier an, um es aufzuladen. Das Laden via USB
funktioniert nur, wenn das Gerät eingeschaltet ist.
Hinweis: Um Ihre Smartphones und Tablets schneller
aufzuladen, bringen Sie den Bildschirm des Geräts in den
Ruhemodus.
16. Antenne: Justieren Sie die FM-Antenne, um den besten
Radioempfang zu erzielen. Legen Sie die Antenne um,
wenn Sie das Radio nicht verwenden und wenn Sie das
Gerät transportieren.
17. NFC (kabellose Nahbereichskommunikation): Berühren und
halten Sie Ihr unterstütztes und NFC-fähiges Gerät kurz an
das NFC-Logo, um das Gerät zu koppeln.
18. Sicherungsabdeckung: Schließen Sie das mitgelieferte Stromkabel hier an, um
das Gerät aufzuladen. Beachten Sie, dass der Explorer mit dem Netzkabel
verwendet werden kann, während der Akku gleichzeitig aufgeladen wird.

Koppeln eines Bluetooth-Geräts

Koppeln eines Bluetooth-Geräts mit NFC
NFC (kabellose Nahbereichskommunikation) ermöglicht den Datenaustausch von Geräten, wie z. B. die Kopplung
durch leichtes Anstoßen. Lesen Sie in der Gebrauchsanleitung Ihres Geräts nach, ob diese Funktion unterstützt wird.
So nutzen Sie NFC, um eine Verbindung mit dem Explorer herzustellen:
1. Um NFC zu nutzen, muss das Gerät eingeschaltet und entsperrt werden.
2. Gehen Sie in das Einstellungen-Menü des Geräts und kontrollieren Sie, ob NFC eingeschaltet ist (einmaliger
Schritt).
3. Schalten Sie den Explorer ein.
4. Berühren und halten Sie Ihr Gerät kurz zum NFC-Logo.

Fehlerbehebung
Der Ton klingt verzerrt: Drehen Sie den Lautstärkeregler an Ihrer Tonquelle, dem Musikinstrument oder dem
Mikrofon zurück. Versuchen Sie auch, die Gesamtlautstärke von Explorer mit dem Gesamtlautstärkeregler zu
reduzieren.
Zu viel Bass: Versuchen Sie, den Ton- oder EQ-Regler Ihrer Tonquelle anzupassen, um den Bass zu verringern.
Dies ermöglicht Ihnen, die Musik lauter abzuspielen, bevor der Klang verzerrt. Sie können den EQ auch mit der
kostenlosen ION Block Rocker App für iOS und Android steuern.
Bei der Verwendung von Mikrofonen tritt einer hoher Pfeifton auf: Hier handelt es sich wahrscheinlich um einen
Rückkopplungseffekt. Richten Sie es so ein, dass die Mikrofone vom Lautsprecher wegzeigen.
Schlechter AM-Empfang: Um den AM-Empfang einzustellen, bewegen Sie die gesamte Einheit.
Wenn das Mikrofon im Vergleich zur Musik zu leise eingestellt ist: Verringern Sie die Musiklautstärke Ihrer
Quelle.

kan een loodzwavelzuuraccu jaren meegaan. Hier zijn wat aanbevelingen voor het zo lang mogelijk laten meegaan

7. Voorinstellingen AM/FM: Er zijn 6 numerieke posities beschikbaar om voorkeuzezenders op de AM-band op
te slaan en 12 numerieke posities om voorkeuzezenders op de FM-band op te slaan (6 numerieke posities
voor FM1 en 6 numerieke posities voor FM2).
Een voorinstelling toevoegen:
A. Selecteer AM, FM1 of FM2 en gebruik vervolgens de Radioknoppen om de gewenste zender te
selecteren.
B. Druk en houd een numerieke voorkeuzeknop ingedrukt om de huidige zender aan dat nummer toe te
wijzen. Op dit scherm verschijnt "SAVE (OPSLAAN)" om te tonen dat de zender is opgeslagen. Om een
toegevoegde voorkeuzezender te gebruiken, tikt u eenmaal zachtjes op een voorkeuzenummer om naar
de geprogrammeerde zender te gaan.
8. Keuzeschakelaar Radio: Deze knop zet de Radio naar AM, FM1, FM2, of schakelt de radio uit.
9. Decimale-punt: Dit decimale-punt zal worden verlicht wanneer Explorer is ingeschakeld. Dit decimale-punt
zal niet worden verlicht wanneer Explorer is uitgeschakeld.
10. Scherm: Geeft het huidige radiostation weer, de accu-, Bluetooth- en verbindingsstatus.
11. Oplaadindicator: Wanneer de stroomkabel is aangesloten, tonen de bewegende batterijsegmenten bovenaan
in de oplaadindicator dat de accu wordt opgeladen. Van zodra hij volledig is opgeladen, gaan alle
batterijsegmenten branden, zonder te knipperen. Wanneer de stroomkabel wordt losgekoppeld, geven de
segmenten het accuniveau weer.
12. Bliksempictogram: Wanneer de IEC-stroomkabel op het stopcontact is aangesloten, begint het pictogram
met de bliksem te branden.
13. Zenderkeuze-/nummerknoppen: Tik op deze knoppen om af te stemmen op een radiozender of naar het
vorige/volgende nummer te gaan op een via Bluetooth aangesloten apparaat. Druk om een zender te zoeken
(naar de volgende beschikbare zender gaan) een van beide knoppen enkele seconden in, tot het apparaat op
zoek gaat naar een zender. Het apparaat onthoudt bij het uitschakelen de laatste zender die speelde en start
die zender weer op wanneer het apparaat opnieuw wordt aangezet.
14. Afspelen/pauzeren: Indrukken om een nummer vanaf een verbonden Bluetooth-apparaat af te spelen of te
pauzeren.
15. USB-poort: Sluit hier de oplaadkabel van uw apparaat aan
om het op te laden. Opladen met USB werkt alleen als het
apparaat is ingeschakeld.
Opmerking: Zet het scherm van uw apparaat in
slaapstand om uw smartphone en tablet sneller op te
laden.
16. Antenne: Regel deze FM-antenne voor een zo goed
mogelijke radio-ontvangst. Stel deze FM-antenne bij voor
een zo goed mogelijke radio-ontvangst. De antenne invouwen wanneer u de radio niet gebruikt of het
apparaat verplaatst.
17. NFC: Houd voor koppeling uw apparaat met actieve NFC-functie naast het NFC-
logo.
18. Afsluitklep zekering: Sluit de meegeleverde stroomkabel hier aan om het apparaat
op te laden. Als de stroomkabel is aangesloten, kan de Explorer tijdens gebruik ook
de accu opladen.
19. Stroom AAN/UIT schakelaar: Schakelt de Explorer in of uit. N.B.: Wanneer de
Explorer aangesloten is op een vermogensbron, hoeft deze niet ingeschakeld te zijn
om de batterij te laten opladen. Wanneer het apparaat is ingeschakeld, verschijnt
op het scherm het decimale-pictogram of uw huidige radiozender.
Een Bluetooth-apparaat koppelen
1. Zet uw Bluetooth-apparaat aan.
2. Zet de Explorer aan. Als u eerder verbinding hebt gemaakt met een ander Bluetooth-apparaat, zal de Explorer
opnieuw verbinding maken. Houd de Bluetooth-knop ingedrukt om de koppeling te verbreken wanneer het
Bluetooth-pictogram brandt.
3. Navigeer naar het instelscherm van uw Bluetooth-apparaat, zoek naar Explorer en maak verbinding.
Opmerking: Als uw Bluetooth-apparaat om een koppelingscode verzoekt, voer dan “0000” in.
4. Bij een brandend Bluetooth-pictogram: de Bluetooth-knop indrukken en loslaten om een koppeling te
verbreken.
5. Om het te verbinden met een ander Bluetooth-apparaat, herhaalt u stap 3.

Een Bluetooth-apparaat koppelen met NFC
NFC (near-field communication) maakt gegevensuitwisseling tussen apparaten mogelijk, zoals koppeling, door ze
zachtjes tegen elkaar te stoten. Raadpleeg de handleiding van uw apparaat om te zien of deze functie wordt
ondersteund.
NFC gebruiken om te koppelen met de Explorer:
1. Om NFC te gebruiken, moet uw apparaat zijn ingeschakeld en ontgrendeld.
2. Ga naar het menu Instellingen van uw apparaat en controleer of NFC Aanstaat (eenmalige handeling).
3. Zet de Explorer aan.
4. Met uw apparaat kort het NFC-logo aanraken en het ertegen houden.
5. Volg de koppelingsinstructies die op uw telefoon verschijnen. Als een wachtwoord wordt gevraagd, voer dan
“0000” in.
6. Stoot zachtjes uw apparaat tegen het NFC-logo op het bovenpaneel van de Explorer.
Problemen oplossen
Het geluid is vervormd: Probeer de volumeknop van uw geluidsbron, muziekinstrument of microfoon te verlagen.
Probeer ook om het hoofdvolume van de Explorer met de hoofdvolumeknop te verlagen.
Er zijn teveel bassen: Probeer op de toon- of EQ-bedieningsknoppen aan uw geluidsbron het niveau van de lage
tonen te verlagen. Dit stelt u in staat de muziek luider te zetten vooraleer “afgeknipte” (vervormde) klanken optreden.
U kunt EQ ook bedienen met de gratis ION Block Rocker-app voor iOS en Android.
Er is een hoge fluitende pieptoon bij het gebruik van microfoons: Dit is waarschijnlijk feedback. Richt de
microfoon weg van de luidspreker.
Bij slechte AM-ontvangst: Verplaats heel het apparaat voor het verbeteren van de AM-ontvangst.
Als u de microfoon niet kan horen boven het geluid van de muziek: Verlaag het volume van de muziek van uw
geluidsbron.
U kunt geen muziek afspelen van een USB-stick: De USB-poort is alleen geschikt om USB-apparaten op te
laden.
