Introduction
We would like to thank you for purchasing one of our JVC products.
Before operating this unit, read this manual carefully and thoroughly to
obtain the best possible performance from your unit, and retain this manual
for future reference.
About This Manual

Power sources

This manual is organized as follows:

• When unplugging from the wall outlet, always pull the
plug, not the AC power cord.

• The manual mainly explains operations using the
buttons and controls on the unit. You can also use the
buttons on the remote control if they have the same or
similar names (or marks) as those on the unit.
If operation using the remote control is different from
that using the unit, it is then explained.
• Basic and common information that is the same for many
functions is grouped in one place, and is not repeated in
each procedure. For instance, we do not repeat the
information about turning on/off the unit, setting the
volume, changing the sound effects, and others, which are
explained in the section “Common Operations” on pages 9
to 11.
• The following marks are used in this manual:
Gives you warnings and cautions to prevent
damage or risk of fire/electric shock.
Also gives you information which is not good
for obtaining the best possible performance
from the unit.

DO NOT handle the AC power cord with wet
hands.

Moisture condensation
Moisture may condense on the lens inside the unit in the
following cases:
• After starting heating in the room
• In a damp room
• If the unit is brought directly from a cold to a warm place
Should this occur, the unit may malfunction. In this case,
leave the unit turned on for a few hours until the moisture
evaporates, unplug the AC power cord, and then plug it in
again.

Others

Gives you information and hints you had better
know.

• Should any metallic object or liquid fall into the unit,
unplug the unit and consult your dealer before operating
any further.
• If you are not going to operate the unit for an extended
period of time, unplug the AC power cord from the wall
outlet.
DO NOT disassemble the unit since there are no
user serviceable parts inside.

Precautions

If anything goes wrong, unplug the AC power cord and
consult your dealer.

Installation
• Install in a place which is level, dry and neither too hot nor
too cold—between 5˚C (41˚F) and 35˚C (95˚F).
• Install the unit in a location with adequate ventilation to
prevent internal heat built-up in the unit.
• Leave sufficient distance between the unit and the TV.
• Keep the speakers away from the TV to avoid interference
with TV.
DO NOT install the unit in a location near heat
sources, or in a place subject to direct sunlight,
excessive dust or vibration.

Connecting the Speakers

After unpacking, check to be sure that you have all the
following items.
The number in the parentheses indicates the quantity of the
pieces supplied.

If any is missing, consult your dealer immediately.

Putting the Batteries into the Remote Control
Insert the batteries—R03(UM-4)/AAA(24F)—into the
remote control, by matching the polarity (+ and –) on the
batteries with the + and – markings on the battery
compartment.
When the remote control can no longer operate the unit,
replace both batteries at the same time.

• DO NOT connect more than one speaker to one
speaker terminal.

Connecting Other Equipment

Attaching the speaker system to the main unit
Fit the speaker into the grooves on the main unit (1) and slide
down the speaker vertically (2) as the illustration shows.

You can connect an audio equipment as a playback device.
When you connect and use this equipment, refer also to its
manual.
• DO NOT connect any equipment while the power
is on.
• DO NOT plug in any equipment until all
connections are complete.

Be sure that the plugs of the audio cords are color coded:
White plugs and jacks are for left audio signals, and red ones
for right audio signals.

Detaching the speaker system from the main unit
With the lever on the back of the unit pushed in the direction
of the arrow (1), lift up the speaker vertically (2) as the
illustration shows.

For playing the other equipment through this unit,
connect between the audio output jacks on the other
equipment and AUX IN jacks by using audio cords (not
supplied).

Power Supply

To insert the batteries

Use AC power or dry batteries (not supplied) to operate the
unit.
• As long as the AC power cord is connected to a power
source, the unit operates on AC power rather than on the
batteries in it.

Common Operations

Turning On or Off the Power
To turn on the unit, press STANDBY/ON .
• When you use the batteries for power supply,
the backlight of the display dims to save
power consumption.

again.
The STANDBY lamp on the unit lights red.

A little power is always consumed even while the unit is on
standby.
To switch off the power supply completely, unplug the AC
power cord from the AC outlet. If the batteries are inserted in
the unit, take them out.
When you unplug the AC power cord or if a power
failure occurs
The clock is reset to “AM 12:00” right away, while the tuner preset
stations (see page 12) will be erased in a few days. If the batteries
are inserted in the unit, this has no effect on the memory.

Setting the Clock
Before operating the unit any further, first set the clock built
in this unit.
• When the unit is turned on with CD or tuner selected, press
DISPLAY first to show the clock indication.

Press DISPLAY.
• Each time you press the button, the display changes the clock
indication and the normal indication alternately. (Operating the
unit while clock indication is displayed change the display to the
normal indication.)

Selecting the Sources
To select the FM/AM broadcasts, press TUNER/BAND.
(See page 12.)
To select CD, press CD/RANDOM then press 6. (See
pages 13 – 15.)
To select tapes, press TAPE then press PLAY 3 for the deck
you want. (See page 16.)
To select the external equipment as the source, press AUX.

The hour digits start flashing on the
display.

If there is a power failure
The clock loses the setting and is reset to “AM 12:00.” You need to
set the clock again. If the batteries are inserted in the unit, this has
no effect on the memory.

The source indicator for the selected source appears on the
display.

Adjusting the Volume

Reinforcing the Bass Sound

You can adjust the volume level only while the unit is turned
on.

The Hyper Bass Sound function provided for this unit can
enhance the bass sound while listening to any source at low
volume.
• You can use this function only for playback.

S/PRESET EQ

To turn on the function, press and hold HBS/
PRESET EQ for more than 1 second so that
the HBS indicator appears on the display.

Turn the VOLUME +/– clockwise to
increase the volume or counterclockwise
to decrease it.
• The volume level can be adjusted in 31
steps (00 VOL to 30 VOL).

HBS

When using the remote control, press VOLUME + to increase
the volume or press VOLUME – to decrease it.

To turn off the sound temporarily

To turn off the function, press and hold the button for more
than 1 second again so that the HBS indicator goes off from
the display.

On the remote control ONLY:
Press MUTING.
The sounds is turned off and the MUTING indicator appears
on the display.

Selecting the Sound Modes
You can select one of the 5 preset sound modes.
SEA (Sound Effect Amplifier) modes:
CLASSIC: Good for classical music.
ROCK:
Boosts low and high frequency. Good for
acoustic music.
POP:
Good for vocal music.
JAZZ:
Good for jazz music.
FLAT:
Normal sound.

For private listening
Connect a pair of headphones to the PHONES jack. No sound
comes out of the speakers. Be sure to turn down the volume before
connecting or putting on headphones.

To select the sound modes, press HBS/
PRESET EQ repeatedly until the indicator for
the sound mode you want appears on the
display.
• Each time you press the button, the sound
modes change as follows:

DO NOT turn off (on standby) the unit with the
volume set to an extremely high level; otherwise, a
sudden blast of sound can damage your hearing,
speakers and/or headphones when you turn on the
unit or start playing any source next time.
REMEMBER you cannot adjust the volume level
while the unit is on standby.

• This function only affects the playback sound, but does not
affect your recording.

To restore the sound, press MUTING again.
The MUTING indicator goes off.
• Adjusting the volume level also cancels the muting.

Ensuring Good FM and AM Reception
FM reception: Pull out the antenna and reorient it for better
reception.

AM reception: Reorient the main unit for better reception.

For better reception of both FM and AM
• Make sure the antenna conductors do not touch any other
terminals and connecting cords.
• Keep the antennas away from metallic parts of the unit,
connecting cords, and the AC power cord.

Listening to FM and AM Broadcasts

• Each time you press the button, the band

The unit starts searching for stations
and stops when a station of sufficient
signal strength is tuned in. If a
program is broadcast in stereo, you
can hear stereo sounds (the STEREO
indicator appears).

To change the FM reception mode

Tuning in a Preset Station

When an FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive
or noisy, press FM MODE so that the MONO
FM MODE
indicator appears on the display. Reception
improves.
To restore the stereo effect, press FM MODE again so that
the MONO indicator goes off.
• The stereo effect is also restored when you tune in another
station.

1 Press TUNER/BAND.
The unit automatically tunes in the previously
tuned station (either FM or AM).
• Each time you press the button, the band
alternates between FM and AM.

When you unplug the AC power cord or if a power

The preset stations will be erased in a few days. If this happens,

The tuned station in step 1 is stored in the
preset number selected in step 3.
• Storing a new station on a used number erases the
previously stored one.

Playing Back CD
This unit has been designed to play back the following CDs: Audio
CD, CD-R, and CD-RW.
Continued use of irregular shape CDs (heart-shape, octagonal, etc.)
can damage the unit.
When playing a CD-R or CD-RW
User-edited CD-Rs (Recordable) and CD-RWs (Rewritable) can
be played back only if they are already “finalized.”
• You can play back your original CD-Rs or CD-RWs recorded in
music CD format. (However, they may not be played back
depending on their characteristics or recording conditions.)
• Before playing back CD-Rs or CD-RWs, read their instructions
or cautions carefully.
• Some CD-Rs or CD-RWs may not be played back on this unit
because of their disc characteristics, damage or stain on them,
or if the player’s lens is dirty.
• CD-RWs may require a longer readout time. (This is caused by
the fact that the reflectance of CD-RWs is lower than for
regular CDs.)

You are trying to program a track number that does not
exist on the CD (for example, selecting track 14 on a CD that only
has 12 tracks).

5 Repeat steps 3 and 4 to program other tracks
if you want.

After you have programmed 20 tracks
The program number returns to “P-01.” Programming
more tracks overwrite the tracks already programmed to those
numbers.

6 Press 3¥8 while the PROG indicator
flashes.
The tracks are played in the order you have
programmed.
• If the PROG indicator goes off before you press 3/8,
press PROGRAM/SET, then press 3/8 to start
playback.

Playing at Random—Random Play

Repeating Tracks or CD—Repeat Play

The tracks of loaded CD will play at random.
• To use Repeat play for Random play, press PRESET UP/
REPEAT so that REP ALL indicator lights up on the
display after starting Random play (Random play will be
canceled when you select REP 1).

You can have the CD, the program or the individual track
currently playing repeat as many times as you like.
To repeat play, press PRESET UP/
REPEAT during or before playing. To
use Repeat play for Program play,
Random play and Intro play, press the
button before or after starting playback.
• Each time you press the button,
Repeat play mode changes as follows, and the REP ALL or

Recording
Recording onto a Tape on Deck A

IMPORTANT:
• It should be noted that it may be unlawful to re-record
pre-recorded tapes, records, or discs without the
consent of the owner of copyright in the sound or video
recording, broadcast or cable program and in any
literary, dramatic, musical, or artistic embodied
therein.
• The recording level is automatically set correctly, so it is
not affected by the VOLUME +/–. Thus, during recording
you can adjust the sound you are actually listening to
without affecting the recording level.
• While recording, you can hear sound modes through the
speakers or headphones (see page 10). However, the sound
is recorded without these effects.
• If recordings you have made have excessive noise or static,
the unit may be too close to a TV. Increase the distance
between the TV and the unit.
• You can use only type I (Normal) tapes for recording.

On the unit ONLY:

1 Put a recordable cassette into the deck A with
the exposed part of the tape down.
• See also page 16.

2 Close the cassette holder gently.
3 Start playing the source—FM, AM*, CD
player, deck B, or auxiliary equipment
connected to AUX IN jacks.
• When the source is CD, you can also use Disc
Synchronized Recording (see page 18).
• When the source is the deck B, you can also use the
dubbing method. (See “Dubbing Tapes” on page 18.)
* See “To record an AM station—Beat Cut” on page 18.

To protect your recording
Cassettes have two small tabs on
the back to protect unexpected
erasure or re-recording.
To protect your recording,
remove these tabs.
To re-record on a protected tape, cover the holes with
adhesive tape.

To keep the best recording and playback sound quality
If the heads, capstans, and pinch rollers of the cassette decks
become dirty, the following will occur:
• Impaired sound quality
• Discontinuous sound
• Fading
• Incomplete erasure
• Difficulty in recording

To remove the cassette, press STOP/EJECT 7/0 for the
deck A.

You cannot press REC ¶ in the following cases:
• If no cassette is inserted.
• If a protected tape is inserted.

To clean the heads, capstans, and pinch rollers
Use a cotton swab moistened with alcohol.

To record an AM station—Beat Cut
While recording an AM broadcast, beats may be heard
(which are never heard when listening to the broadcast
without recording it).
If this occurs, set the BEAT CUT switch on the back of the
unit to 1 or 2 to reduce the beating sound.

You can start disc play and recording at the same time.

1 Put a recordable cassette into the deck A with
the exposed part of the tape down.

Maintenance
To get the best performance of the unit, keep your discs, tapes, and mechanism clean.

Handling cassette tapes

Handling discs
• Remove the disc from its case by
holding it at the edge while pressing the
center hole lightly.
• Do not touch the shiny surface of the
disc, or bend the disc.
• Put the disc back in its case after use to
prevent warping.
• Be careful not to scratch the surface of
the disc when placing it back in its
case.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight,
temperature extremes, and moisture.

• If the tape is loose in its cassette, take
up the slack by inserting a pencil in
one of the reels and rotating.
• If the tape is loose, it may get
stretched, cut, or caught in the
cassette.
• Be careful not to touch the tape
surface.

• Avoid the following places to store the
tape:
– In dusty places
– In direct sunlight or heat
– In moist areas
– Near a magnet

To clean the disc
Wipe the disc with a soft cloth in a
straight line from center to edge.

DO NOT use any solvent—such as conventional
record cleaner, spray, thinner, or benzine—to
clean the disc.

Troubleshooting
If you are having a problem with your unit, check this list for a possible solution before calling for service.
If you cannot solve the problem from the hints given here, or the unit has been physically damaged, call a qualified person,
such as your dealer, for service.

Fuentes de alimentación

Este manual está organizado de la siguiente manera:

• Para desenchufar el cable de alimentación de CA del
tomacorriente mural, siempre tire del enchufe, no del cable.

• Básicamente, este manual explica las operaciones
utilizando los botones y los controles de la unidad.
También podrá usar los botones del control remoto si
llevan nombres (o marcas) iguales o similares a los de la
unidad.
Si la operación con el control remoto es diferente de la
realizada con la unidad, será explicado en cada caso.
• La información básica y común para las diversas funciones
está agrupada en un lugar, y se evita su repetición en cada
procedimiento. Por ejemplo, la información sobre el
encendido/apagado de la unidad, el ajuste de volumen, el
cambio de los efectos de sonido y otros no se repite, por
haberse explicado en la sección “Operaciones comunes” en

Precauciones
Instalación
• Instale la unidad en un sitio nivelado, seco, que no sea ni

Conexión de otro equipo

Fijación del sistema de altavoz a la unidad principal

Español

Fije el altavoz en las ranuras de la unidad principal (1) y
deslícelo hacia abajo verticalmente (2), tal como se muestra
en la ilustración.

Podrá conectar un equipo de audio como dispositivo de
reproducción.
Para conectar y utilizar este equipo, consulte también el
manual entregado con el mismo.
• NO conecte ningún otro equipo mientras la
alimentación está conectada.
• NO enchufe ningún equipo antes de finalizar
todas las conexiones.

Asegúrese de que los cables de audio se encuentren
codificados por color:
Las clavijas y los jacks blancos son para las señales de audio
del lado izquierdo, y los rojos son para las señales de audio
del lado derecho.

Presionando la palanca RELEASE en la parte trasera de la

Conexión y desconexión de la alimentación

Se consume siempre una pequeña cantidad de energía aún
cuando la unidad esté en el modo de espera.
Para desconectar completamente la alimentación,
desenchufe el cable de alimentación de CA de la toma de CA.
Si las pilas están insertadas en la unidad, extráigalas.
Cuando desenchufe el cable de alimentación de CA o se
produzca una falla de alimentación eléctrica
El reloj se reposicionará inmediatamente a “AM 12:00”, mientras
que las emisoras preajustadas (véase página 12) en el sintonizador se
borrarán al cabo de unos días. Si las pilas están insertadas en la
unidad, la memoria no será afectada.

Si se produce una falla de alimentación
El reloj pierde su ajuste y se reposiciona a “AM 12:00”. Deberá
volverlo a poner en hora. Si las pilas está insertadas en la unidad, la
memoria no será afectada.

Para que se visualice el reloj cuando se selecciona CD o
sintonizador
Pulse DISPLAY.
• Cada vez que pulsa el botón, la pantalla cambia alternativamente
entre indicación del reloj e indicación normal. (Si opera la unidad
con la indicación del reloj visualizada, la pantalla cambia a
indicación normal).

Ajuste del reloj
Antes de continuar operando la unidad, primero ajuste el reloj
incorporado a la misma.
• Al encender la unidad estando seleccionado CD o
sintonizador, pulse primero DISPLAY para que aparezca la
indicación del reloj.

El nivel de volumen sólo se podrá ajustar mientras la unidad
está encendida.

La función Hyper Bass Sound de esta unidad puede resaltar
los sonidos graves mientras escucha cualquier fuente a un
volumen bajo.
• Esta función sólo se podrá utilizar para reproducción.

Para activar la función, pulse y mantenga
pulsado HBS/PRESET EQ durante más de 1
segundo para que el indicador HBS aparezca
en la pantalla.

disminuirlo.
• El nivel de volumen se puede ajustar en
31 pasos (00 VOL — 30 VOL).

aumentar el volumen o VOLUME – para disminuirlo.

Para desactivar temporalmente el sonido

Para desactivar la función, pulse y mantenga pulsado el
botón otra vez para que el indicador HBS desaparezca de la
pantalla.

En el control remoto SOLAMENTE:
Pulse MUTING.
El sonido se apaga y el indicador MUTING aparece en la
pantalla.
Para restablecer el sonido, pulse de nuevo MUTING.
El indicador MUTING se apaga.
• Ajustando el nivel de volumen también se cancela el
silenciamiento.

Podrá seleccionar uno de los 5 modos de sonido preajustados.
Modos SEA (Amplificador de efecto de sonido):
CLASSIC: Conveniente para la música clásica.
ROCK:
Refuerza las frecuencias altas y bajas.
Conveniente para la música acústica.
POP:
Conveniente para la música vocal.
JAZZ:

• Esta función afecta solamente al sonido de reproducción,
pero no al de su grabación.

S/PRESET EQ

NO apague la unidad (en espera) con el volumen
ajustado a un nivel extremadamente alto; de lo
contrario, la sobrecarga acústica repentina podrá
dañar su oído, los altavoces y/o auriculares
cuando vuelva a encender la unidad o la próxima
vez que empiece a reproducir alguna fuente.
RECUERDE que no podrá ajustar el nivel de
volumen mientras la unidad está en el modo de
espera.

Para seleccionar los modos de sonido, pulse
repetidamente HBS/PRESET EQ hasta que el
indicador del modo de sonido deseado
aparezca en la pantalla.
• Cada vez que usted pulsa el botón, los

Usted podrá preajustar 10 emisoras FM y 10 emisoras AM.
En algunos casos, pueden haber frecuencias de prueba
memorizadas en el sintonizador ya que la fábrica ha examinado
la función de preajuste del sintonizador antes de la entrega. Esto
no es una anomalía. Usted podrá preajustar las emisoras que
desee en la memoria siguiendo el método de preajuste.
• Hay un límite de tiempo para realizar los siguientes pasos.
Si se cancelan los ajustes antes de haber terminado,
comience otra vez desde el paso 2.

Cómo preajustar las emisoras

Cuando desenchufe el cable de alimentación de CA o se
produzca una falla de alimentación eléctrica
Las emisoras preajustadas se borrarán al cabo de unos días. En tal
caso, vuelva a preajustar las emisoras. Si las pilas están insertadas en
la unidad, la memoria no será afectada.

Cuando la transmisión en FM estéreo sea difícil
de recibir o hayan ruidos, pulse FM MODE de
manera que el indicador MONO se encienda en FM MODE
la pantalla. La recepción será mejor.
Para restablecer el efecto estereofónico, pulse FM MODE
otra vez de forma que el indicador MONO se apague.
• El efecto estéreo también se restablece cuando se sintoniza
otra emisora.

La emisora sintonizada en el paso 1 se
almacena en el número de preajuste seleccionado en el
paso 3.
• Cuando almacene una emisora nueva en un número
usado, se borrará la emisora almacenada previamente.

Cómo sintonizar una emisora

Reproducción de CD

Esta unidad ha sido diseñada para reproducir los discos CD
siguientes: CD de audio, CD-R y CD-RW.
El uso continuo de discos CD de forma irregular (forma de corazón,
octogonal, etc.) puede dañar la unidad.
Cuando se reproduce un CD-R o CD-RW
Los discos CD-R (regrabables) y los CD-RW (reescribibles)
editados por el usuario sólo se pueden reproducir si ya están
“finalizados”.
• Usted puede reproducir sus discos CD-R o CD-RW originales
grabados en formato CD musical. (No obstante, dependiendo
de sus características o de sus condiciones de grabación,
puede suceder que no se puedan reproducir).
• Antes de reproducir los discos CD-R o CD-RW, lea atentamente
sus correspondientes instrucciones o precauciones.
• Es posible que algunos discos CD-R o CD-RW no se puedan
reproducir en esta unidad debido a las características de los
discos, a daños o manchas en los mismos, o a suciedad en el
lente del reproductor.
• Los discos CD-RW pueden requerir más tiempo para su
lectura. (Esto se debe a que la reflexión de los discos CD-RW
es menor que los discos CD comunes).

Programando el orden de reproducción de las
pistas—Reproducción programada

Usted podrá hacer que el CD, la programación o la pista
individual que se está reproduciendo en ese momento se
repita tantas veces como se desee.

La cinta de la platina B comenzará a
reproducirse.

3 Pulse PAUSE 8, y luego pulse PLAY 3 para
la platina A.
Cuando termine la cinta de la platina B, la cinta de la
platina A comienza a reproducirse automáticamente.

IMPORTANTE:
• Tenga en cuenta que la regrabación de cintas
pregrabadas, grabaciones o discos sin el consentimiento
de los titulares del copyright podría resultar ilegal en
cuanto a grabación de sonido o de vídeo, radiodifusión o
transmisión por cable, y en cualquier forma literaria,
dramática, musical o artística expresada en cada caso.
• El nivel de grabación se ajusta automáticamente al nivel
correcto, y por lo tanto no es afectado por el control JOG
VOLUME +/–. De esta manera, durante la grabación, podrá
ajustar el sonido que está escuchando sin que el nivel de
grabación resulte afectado.
• Cuando está grabando, podrá escuchar los modos de sonido
a través de los altavoces o de los auriculares (véase página
10). No obstante, el sonido será grabado sin estos efectos.
• Si las grabaciones realizadas por usted contienen
demasiado ruido o perturbaciones estáticas, podría ser que
la unidad se encuentre demasiado cerca de un televisor.
Aumente la distancia entre el televisor y la unidad.
• Sólo podrá usar cintas tipo I (Normal) para la grabación.

Para proteger sus grabaciones
Los cassettes tienen dos
lengüetas pequeñas en la parte
posterior para protección contra
el borrado accidental y la
regrabación.
Para proteger sus grabaciones, quite estas lengüetas.
Para volver a grabar una cinta protegida, tape los orificios con
cinta adhesiva.

Para mantener la mejor calidad de sonido de
grabación y reproducción
Si los cabezales, cabrestantes, y rodillos de presión de las
platinas de cassette estuvieran sucios, podría producirse lo
siguiente:
• Pérdida de la calidad del sonido
• Sonido discontinuo
• Desvanecimiento
• Borrado incompleto
• Dificultades en la grabación

En la unidad SOLAMENTE:

1 Ponga un cassette grabable en la platina A
con la parte expuesta de la cinta hacia abajo.
• Véase también la página 16.

2 Cierre suavemente el portacassette.
3 Empiece a reproducir la fuente—FM, AM*,
reproductor de CD, platina B, o el equipo
auxiliar conectado a los jacks AUX IN.
• Cuando la fuente es CD, también podrá usar la
grabación sincronizada del disco (véase la página 18).
• Cuando la fuente es la platina B, también podrá usar el
método de duplicación. (Véase “Duplicación de cintas”
en la página 18).

4 Pulse REC ¶ para la platina A.

Para detener la grabación, pulse STOP/EJECT 7/0 para la
platina A.
Para sacar el cassette, pulse STOP/EJECT 7/0 para la
platina A.

No podrá pulsar REC ¶ en los siguiente casos:
• Si no hay ningún cassette insertado.
• Si se ha insertado una cinta protegida.

Limpie con un palillo de algodón humedecido con alcohol.

batidos (que no se escucharían durante la audición del
programa si no lo grabara).

Para detener la grabación durante un momento,

• Saque el disco de su estuche
sujetándolo por los bordes, mientras
presiona ligeramente el orificio central.
• No toque la superficie brillante del
disco, ni doble el disco.
• Ponga el disco en su estuche después
del uso para que no se deforme.
• Tenga cuidado de no rayar la superficie
del CD cuando vuelva a colocarlo en su
estuche.
• Evite la exposición directa a la luz del
sol, a temperaturas extremas, y a la
humedad.

Para limpiar el disco
Usando un lienzo suave, limpie el disco
con movimientos rectos desde el centro
hacia el borde.

• Si la cinta está floja en su cassette,
elimine la flojedad haciendo girar uno
de los carretes con un lápiz.
• Si la cinta está floja, podría quedar
estirada, cortada o enredada en el
cassette.
• Tenga cuidado de no tocar la
superficie de la cinta.

• No almacene las cintas en:
– Lugares polvorientos
– Expuestos directamente a la luz del
sol o de otras fuentes de calor
– Lugares de mucha humedad
– Cerca de un imán

NO utilice ningún tipo de solvente—como
limpiador de discos convencional, pulverizadores,
diluyente, o bencina—para limpiar el CD.

Localización de averías

• Conexiones flojas o incorrectas.

• Verifique todas las conexiones y realice las
correcciones. (Véase páginas 6 – 8).
• Pulse MUTING para cancelar el
silenciamiento. (Véase página 10).

• Silenciamiento activado.
El sonido del disco se interrumpe.

El disco está rayado o sucio.

Limpie o reemplace el disco. (Véase página 19).

El disco no se reproduce.

El disco está colocado boca abajo.

Coloque el disco con el lado de la etiqueta
hacia arriba.

Grabación imposible.

Se han removido las lengüetas pequeñas del
dorso del cassette.

Tape los orificios con cinta adhesiva.

No se pueden realizar las operaciones.

Puede suceder que el microprocesador
incorporado no esté funcionando correctamente
debido a interferencias eléctricas exteriores.

Desenchufe el cable de alimentación de CA
después retirar las pilas de la unidad, y luego
vuélvalo a conectar.

No es posible operar la unidad desde el
control remoto.

• Hay un obstáculo en la trayectoria entre el
control remoto y el sensor remoto de la
unidad.
• Las pilas están descargadas.

• Saque el obstáculo.
• Cambie las pilas.

Reinicialización de la unidad
Si con “Localización de averías” (véase arriba) no se consigue
eliminar el problema (fallo de funcionamiento, visualización
incorrecta, etc.), presione el interruptor de reinicialización en la
parte trasera de la unidad con un objeto puntiagudo, mientras la
unidad está encendida.
