3Safety notesAvoid leaving the product in hot orhumid places.Take special attention when touchingthe product box, owner's manual andaccessories to avoid cuts.While driving, keep the sound volumeto a level that does not distract youfrom driving.Do not drop and avoid heavyimpacts.If you notice unusual odors, exces-sive heat coming from the product oranything else that seems unusual,stop use and contact our CustomerService Center.Always use soft, dry cotton clothwhen cleaning the product.Do not use strong solvents such asalcohol, benzine, or thinner, as thesemight damage the surface of the unit.When attaching a navigation holderto the windscreen remove impuritiesin the area before attaching andslide the suction lever to secure tothe windscreen.Do not pull out the SD Memory Cardwhile the navigator is in operation asthis may cause mechanical problems.Do not use the navigator for extend-ed periods of time. This may result in battery discharge.Please obey all traffic regulations. To  aid safe driving, information onsafe driving routes and routes whereaccidents occur frequently is included.Voice guidance and map route maydiffer from the actual traffic conditions.•LG is not responsible for any injury, propertydamage or accidents resulting from relianceon the navigation system. •LG is not responsible for the accuracy oftraffic-related information and data suppliedby other parties. •LG disclaims all liability for use of the navi-gation that causes or contributes to death,injury or property damage or that violatesany law including traffic laws. All the statedinstructions should be followed, because ifnot, it may lead to death, serious injury orproperty damage.When moving the product, separatethe power plug from cigarette lightersocket then remove the navigationdevice from the windscreen mount.Finally slide the lever on the wind-screen mount to all the suction cup tobe released.RF Exposure Statement:The antenna(s) used for this transmittermust be installed to provide a separationdistance of at least 20 cm from all personsand must not be colocated or operating inconjunction with any antenna or transmitterother than those contained in this device.
•If you attach the windscreen mount on theglass for a long period of time, the pressurein the suction cup slowly reduces and thewindscreen mount may fall off.•The windscreen mount may fall off the wind-screen of not properly installed. Should thisoccur, it is recommended that navigationdevice is installed as close to as possible tothe dash board to avoid damage to the unit.•Applying too much force to adjust the angleof the windscreen mount may cause dam-age. Take care when making adjustments.•If the windscreen mount falls off, please fol-low the instructions again to reinstall anduse it.•Please note that if the product is damageddue to user negligence, it cannot be returnedor refunded.Caution : Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.Replace only with the same or equivalent type.Winter precaution•The windscreen mount can easily come offthe glass due to differences in temperaturebetween inside and outside the windscreen.Summer precautions•The windscreen mount can easily come offthe glass due to difference in temperaturebetween inside and outside of the windscreen.•Remove the windscreen mount and store itseparately when parking for a long period oftime.•The built-in battery may be damaged whenkept under direct sunlight in the car for along period of time. Separate the unit and store it in a cool place.Atemperature rise over 60 degrees canreduce the battery life span or cause anexplosion.•Never leave your unit/accessories (includingwindscreen mount, car charger etc) visible inan unattended vehicle, as these are atarget for thieves.•Back up your data using our provided soft-ware in the CD.•In order to protect the screen and the unit,always store it in the carry case.•Do not use the memory card (SD card) withother devices as this may cause damage tothe SD card.•The navigation device needs to have directline of sight with the sky in order to pick up asignal. For a speedier fix on your location,please allow up to 5 minutes at a standstillfor the device to locate you.•When installing the unit, make sure that itdoes not block the view on the windscreen.Make sure that unit does not interfere withthe safety operations of the vehicle wheninstalled. Eg. Deployment of air bags orother safety equipment. •The unit may require the external antenna kitif the vehicle has a heat reflective shieldembedded in the windscreen. Heat reflectivewindscreens can prevent a signal from beingreceived by the navigation device.The external antenna kit is available as anoptional accessory.•The guidance route is only a guide and theremaybe some variances between the infor-mation on the navigation device with theactual roads. Road data is always beingupdated and furthers updates may be addedsubject to availability. •The unit is designed to provide you withroute suggestions, so it does not reflect roadconditions, traffic congestion, weather conditions or other factors that may affectsafety or timing while driving.WARNINGTo  reduce the risk of fire or electric-shock, donot expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. 1. Select the most suitable position on the windscreen.2. Clean the surface of the windscreen, toremove any dust and grease.3. Place the windscreen mount on the windscreen.4. Push back the lever to the left until youhear a click, fixing the windscreen mountin position.5. Align the docking connector at the wind-screen mount then push the unit downuntil you hear a click.NoteStandard operation temperature of the suctionmount is between -10°C and 60°C. The suc-tion mount may disengage under a tempera-ture outside of what is specified.6. Plug the small end of the car charger intothe power supply connector at the side ofthe unit.7. Plug the other end into your vehicle’s12V-24V (cigarette lighter) socket.8. To adjust the angle of the mount, slackenthe adjustable knobs at the suction-cupand then turn it gently. In addition to tiltingthe mount up and down and from side toside, you can also rotate the mount, fromthe left, -45°to 45°.9. When you finish, tighten up the knobsagain.Note•This unit and its car chargerare designed foruse in vehicles that have 5.0 +/- 0.2V, nega-tive ground electrical systems. (This is a standard for most vehicles.) If your vehicle has a different type of electricalsystem, the DC power system cannot be used.•The unit is automatically charged when connecting the USB port of the unit and yourvehicle’s 12V-24V (cigarette lighter) socketwith the car charger.Connecting devices11Installation sequence for the windscreen mount

If the windscreen mount still doesn’tdetach from the windscreen, pull the tabon the suction cup.NoteDrivers in California andMinnesota are prohibitedfrom placing anything onthe windshield of a vehicle.The suction-cup mount canbe fastened with dashboardmounting disk.Installing the external GPSantenna (Optional)This unit has a built-in GPS antenna toreceive the satellite signals.The external GPS antenna is sold separatelyand will improve the reception from the satel-lites for cars with a heat reflective windscreen.To  install the antenna: 1. Select the place to attach the externalGPS antenna.2. Plug the jack of the GPS antenna into thesocket on the rear of the navigation unit.Installation of the external antennainside the vehicleAttach the external antenna onto a surfacewhich is as level as possible, has line of sightwith the sky and can be secured safely withthe double sided tape.Note•Make sure the surface is free of moisture,dust, grime, oil, etc., before affixing the dou-ble sided tape.•The double-sided tape contains a strongadhesive and may leave a mark on thedashboard if removed.•Some vehicles use window glass that doesnot allow signals from GPS satellites topass through. On such vehicles, install theGPS antenna on the outside of the vehicle.Installation of the external antennaoutside the vehiclePlace the external GPS antenna in a positionas level as possible, such as on the roof orboot. (The GPS antenna is attached with amagnet.)When routing the lead in from the topof the doorMake a U-shaped loop in the lead on the out-side to prevent rainwater from flowing alongthe lead into the interior of the vehicle.(The GPS antenna is attached with a mag-net.)Dash board

The safe remove icon is displayed in thesystem tray.2. Click on the icon to eject the unit from the PC and select the ‘Safely remove’message.3. Activate Windows Explorer on your PC.Amass storage device is displayed inwindow explorer.2. Create a folder you want to use.3. Turning the unit on/offPress and hold POWER ( ) to turn the uniton. Press and hold POWER for about 2 sec-onds until the unit is turned off.NoteIf you connect the unit to a power source, itwill automatically turn on.Adjusting the Volume/Brightness1. Turn the unit on.2. Press POWER ( ) briefly when the mapscreen appears.The “Handy Setup” screen appears.NoteWhen you have the unit with Bluetoothwireless technology,   andappear on the screen.3.
