There is a difference between the drivingroad and the road on the map in the product. Even though GPS is usually very accurate, ithas an error range. When GPS receiver is installed, there can be anerror of about 5 to 15m. But for newly construct-ed roads, the problem could be from the dataupdate to the map. What is GPS?The Global Positioning System (GPS) is asatellite-based navigation system made up ofa network of 24 satellites placed into orbit bythe U.S. Department of Defence. GPS was originallyintended for military applications, but in the1980s, the government made the systemavailable for civilian use. GPS works in any weather conditions, any-where in the world, 24 hours a day. There are no subscription fees or setupcharges to use GPS.Map matchingThe GPS used by this Mobile NavigationSystem is susceptible to certain errors. Theircalculations may on occasion place you in alocation on the map where no road exists. Inthis situation, the processing system understands that vehicles travel only onroads, and is able to correct your position by adjusting it to a near road. This iscalled map matching.Basic operation tips1.After charging or connecting to a powersource, turn the unit on.2.Make sure you are stopped (not moving) ina location with a clear view of the sky.3.You will see your current location within afew minutes and then you can start navigat-ing.4.If the correct location is not found within 6minutes, restart the unit using the ON/OFFbutton on the side of the unit.Troubleshooting47GPSGPS GPSGPSWith map matching. With no map matching.
