OPERATION

Read,understand,and followall instructionson your equipmentand
intheir manualsbeforeattemptingto assembleand operate.Keepthis
manualina safe placefor futureand regularreferenceandfor ordering
replacementparts.
Tohelp avoid bladecontact or a thrown objectinjury,keepbystanders,
helpers,childrenand pets at least 75 feetfrom the mowerwhile it is in
operation.Stop machineif anyoneentersthe area.
Thoroughlyinspectthe area wherethe equipmentis to be used.Remove
all stones,sticks,wire, bones, toys,and otherforeignobjectswhich
could be picked up and thrownby the blade(s). Thrownobjects can
causeseriouspersonalinjury.
Alwayswearsafetyglasses or safetygogglesduringoperationand while
performingan adjustmentor repairto protectyoureyes. Thrownobjects
whichricochet can causeseriousinjury to the eyes.
Do not operatethe mowerwithoutthe dischargecoveror entire grass
catcherinits proper place.A missingor damageddischargecoveror
grass bagattachmentcomponentmay result inthrown objectsor blade
contactinjuries.
Do not put hands or feet near rotatingparts or underthe cutting deck.
Contactwiththe blade(s) can amputatehandsand feet.

Shut off mower'sengineand waitfor bladesto come to a completestop
beforeuncloggingmower'sdischargeopeningor baggerparts.
Slow down beforeturning. Operatethe machinesmoothly.Avoid erratic
operationandexcessivespeed. Be awarethata grasscatcherattachmentcan affectthe handlingcharacteristicsof your mower.
Disengageblade(s), set parkingbrake,stop engineand waituntil the
blade(s)cometo a completestop beforeopeningbaggerattachment's
top cover,removinggrass catcher,emptyinggrass,uncloggingchute,
removingany grass or debris, or makingany adjustments.
Neverleave a runningmachineunattended.Alwaysturn off blade(s),
placetransmissionin neutral,set parkingbrake,stop engine andremove
keybeforedismounting.
Your machineis designedto cut normalresidentialgrassof a heightno
morethan 10".Do not attemptto mowthrough unusuallytall, dry grass
(e.g.,pasture)or pilesof dry leaves.Drygrass or leaves may contact
the engineexhaustand/or build up on the mowerdeck presentinga
potentialfire hazard.

SLOPE

OPERATION

DO NOT:

Slopesare a majorfactor relatedto lossof control andtip-overaccidents
whichcan resultinsevere injury or death.Attachmentscan also affect the
stabilityof the machine.All slopes requireextra caution.

For yoursafety,use the slope guideincludedas partof this manualto
estimatethe angle of slopes beforeoperatingthis machineon a slopedor hilly
area.If the slope is greaterthan 10degreesas shown on the slope guide,do
not operatethe mowerwiththe grass bagattachmentinstalledon that area or
seriousinjury could result.

Do not turn on slopes unlessnecessary;then, turn slowlyand gradually
downhill, if possible.
Do not mow near drop-offs,ditchesor embankments.The mowercould
suddenlyturn over if a wheel is overthe edgeof a cliff,ditch, or if an
edge caves in.

Do not try to stabilizethe machineby putting yourfooton the ground.
Do not use a grasscatcheron steepslopes.
Do not mow on wet grass. Reducedtractioncould causesliding.

GENERAL

DO:

Mow up anddown slopes,not across.Exerciseextremecautionwhen
changingdirectionon slopes.

Watchfor holes,ruts,bumps,rocks,or otherhiddenobjects. Uneven
terraincould overturnthe machine.Tall grasscan hide obstacles.

Useslow speed. Choosea low enoughspeedsetting sothat you will not
haveto stop or shift whileon the slope.Tires may losetractionon slopes
eventhoughthe brakes arefunctioningproperly.Alwayskeepmachine
in gear when goingdown slopesto take advantageof engine braking
action.

Followthe manufacturer'srecommendationsfor wheelweights or
counterweightsto improvestability. For recommendations,contact
1-800-659-5917.

Keepall movementon the slopes slow and gradual.Do not makesuddenchangesin speedor direction.Rapidengagementor brakingcould
causethe front of the machineto lift and rapidlyflip overbackwards
whichcould causeserious injury.

Avoidstartingor stoppingon a slope.If tires losetraction,disengagethe
blade(s) andproceedslowly straightdown the slope.

which modelof tractorthat you have. Oncethis is known,followthe
pertinentset of instructionson thefollowingpages.
Todeterminewhich modelof rideryou have,lookat the rider'smodel
plate,locatedunderthe seat. Simplyflipthe seatup and locatethe
modelplate,whichwill includethe modelnumberand serialnumber.

Mountthe bracketstoyourtractorusingfour self-tappinghex
screwsincludedwithyourkit. SeeFig. 2.

Assemble Mounting Brackets
Toassemblethe baggermountingassembly,locatethe hitchbracket
kit and followthese steps:
1. Attachthe right-handand Idt handrider hitchbracketto the
universalrearattachmentbracketusingthefourcarriagebolts(7100276)and flangelock nuts(712-04063)packed
with themounting
brackets.Positionthebracketswiththe hookson the right-handand
Idt hand riderhitchbracketpointingdownward,andthe tabson the
universalrearattachmentbracketpointingupwards.See Fig.3.

Note: Whenattachingthe hitchsupport,do notfully tightenthe
bracketat this time.This will facilitatethe mountingprocessin
latersteps.

Assembling The Bin Support Assembly

Locatethe uprightsupport bracketand the bin supportassembly.
Assembleitby followingthese steps:

off and set the parkingbrake.

2. Opengrass catchercover by pushingin on the rear,right-sidetab
with yourright-hand,as seenin 1 of Fig. 27,and liftingwith your
left-handin the rear center,2.

Removethe grass binsby liftingthem up (1 in Fig. 28) and away
from the bin supportassembly(2).

o con un objeto que sea arrojado, mantenga a las personas
que observan, a los ayudantes, ni_os y mascotas alejados a no
