Measure and install screws into mounting surface leaving 1/4” of the screw heads exposed. The whitelist process can be done on the Secure Plug unit or through the Remote Access Module. 3 To close the whitelist mode, place the Authorization Card over the RFID icon. Whitelist mode will end automatically after 3 minutes of no use. If the product does not have a removable power cord, turn the power to the product to OFF. NOTE: Only supports products up to 10A. 2 Plug in product cables one at a time to the Power Strip. If successful Æ 2 beeps and LED will be solid green, this may take 20 to 60 seconds for products with larger power adapters. The Remote Access Module will show a corresponding white LED for that socket port. www.mobiletechinc.com | T:800.426.6844 If unsuccessful Æ unit beeps 4 times and LED will be solid red. The Remote Access Module will show a corresponding red LED for that socket port. Unplug cable from the Power Strip and try again making sure cables are unplugged from the product. Apply an “Alarm” label to product end of cable, if desired. 5 Turn the power to products with a detachable power adapter to ON at this time. Keep power to other products OFF (ie. hardwired products or products without power adapters). www.mobiletechinc.com | T:800.426.6844 MTI P/N 063-00243 rev B ©2018 MTI All Rights Reserved ARMING/DISARMING THE SYSTEM SECURE PLUG™ (PATENT PENDING) USER GUIDE 1 Place any User Key over the RFID icon and the LED will change from flashing white to solid white to indicate Armed. 3 If any cable becomes unplugged, the system will alarm. LED will flash red/white. The Remote Access Module will show a corresponding red LED for that socket port. 2 Turn the power to products to ON or OFF at this time, as desired. 4 Placing a User Key over the RFID icon will silence the alarm. The LED will remain flashing red/white. 5 To re-arm, fix the issue by plugging all cables back in. LED will be flashing white. SECURE PLUG™ (PATENT PENDING) USER GUIDE 1b From an Alarming state, place the User Key over the RFID icon to silence the alarm. Then hold down the User Key for 5 seconds to return back to the disarmed state. LED will be flashing white. 2 Merchandise a new product by following the process on page 5. If you did not unplug a product, there is no need to remerchandise the product again. ADDING NEW USER KEYS 1 From an Armed state, place the User Key over the RFID icon to disarm the system. LED will be flashing white. 2 Place Authorization Card over the RFID icon. Follow Key Whitelist process starting on page 4. DELETING WHITELIST (This will delete all User Keys from the system.) 1 From an Armed state, place the User Key over the RFID icon to disarm the system. LED will be flashing white. www.mobiletechinc.com | T:800.426.6844 2 Hold down the Authorization Card for 5 seconds, LED will be solid yellow. 3 Place the Authorization Card over the RFID icon AGAIN while LED is yellow. LED is flashing white. Condition Armed 1. Disarmed 2. Merchandising Calibration Solution System is armed. 1. System is disarmed and needs to be rearmed. 2. System is calibrating product, wait until successful or unsuccessful merchandising before proceeding. Alarm System is alarming and needs to be attended to. LED is flashing red. Mains Power Loss Mains power loss has occurred. System will alarm for 5 minutes. Whitelist and merchandising information will be maintained upon restoration of power. LED is solid red. Merchandising Unsuccessful If merchandising fails, unplug the product. Follow merchandising process again. Ready to Whitelist System has an Authorization Card, but does not have any User Keys added. Follow key whitelist process. LED is flashing green. Factory Reset System has no whitelist or Authorization Card. Follow key whitelist process. LED is solid blue. 1. Whitelist Mode (if using Authorization Card) LED is flashing blue. System has gone into overcurrent protection. Unplug any product which may be drawing too much power. Overcurrent/Disarmed System has gone into overcurrent protection and user has disarmed the system. Unplug any product which may be drawing too much power. The system will self-heal. 1. Ready to be Armed without MTI Connect Mesh Connected 1. Add Secure Plug unit to Mesh network. 2. System is calibrating product, wait until successful or unsuccessful merchandising before proceeding. 2. Merchandising Calibration without MTI Connect Mesh Connected 1. Armed without MTI Connect Mesh Connected 1. Add Secure Plug unit to Mesh network. 2. Delete Whitelist Mode (If using Authorization Card) 2. System is deleting whitelist. Wait until complete. System is alarming on corresponding socket port and needs to be attended to. 2. Alarm See main LED for overall system status LED is flashing blue. If it’s within range of a Hub that is also in provisioning mode, it will join the Hub’s network within 5 seconds and it will stop flashing blue. 2. System has gone into overcurrent protection and user has disarmed the system. Unplug any product which may be drawing too much power. The system will self-heal. 1. Provisioning Mode 2.
