Basics10When two SIM cards are both installed, you can activate both SIM cards or one of them except in the flight mode. Your phone’s pre-programmed emergency number(s) may not work in all locations, and sometimes an emergency call cannot be placed due to network, environmental, or interference issues.

Messages20MessagesIt’s good to text.Create & send a messageFind it: From the home screen, touch to open Message Menu, then choose Write message. 1To enter a message, touch the screen, then use the virtual keypad to enter text or numbers.2To insert pictures, audioes, videoes or objects, touch Options or the shortcut on screen.3When you finish the message, touch Options > Send to or shortcut on screen. You can enter one or more recipients or choose recipients from your phonebook.Read messagesWhen you receive a message, your phone plays an alert and shows a message indicator in the middle of the screen. 1To read a new message, touch View in the message notification area.2You can read all received messages in your inbox by touch Menu icon > Message> Inbox.

E-mail21E-mailIt’s good to E-mail.Set up an e-mail accountFind it: Touch Menu icon > Email. 1Enter your e-mail address, touch Options > Next to set Protocol, Data account, Incoming server, Outgoing server, User name, Password and Account name. 2In Email, select the e-mail address you want to activate, then touch Options > Connect.3To add another new account, touch Options > Email accounts > Options > New account.Note: E-mail service depends on your e-mail and phone network service providers.Create & send e-mailFind it: Touch Menu icon > Email> Options > Write Email. 1To edit the subject and the content, use the virtual keypad to enter text or numbers. 2To add a picture or a file, touch Options > Add attachments or shortcut on screen.3When you finish the e-mail, touch Options >Send.

You can pair your phone with a Bluetooth headset or car kit.Note: The use of wireless devices and their accessories may be prohibited or restricted in certain areas. Always abide by laws and regulations on the use of these products. Note: Bluetooth - indoor use only in France.Turn Bluetooth power on and offFind it: Touch Menu icon > Setup menu > Connection > Bluetooth. 1Touch Power to switch Bluetooth on / off. After Bluetooth is turned on, your phone shows an indicator at the top of the display.2If Bluetooth Power is On, your phone can automatically pair with the handsfree device you have used before. Just turn on the device or move it near the phone.Note: To extend battery life, use the previous procedure to set Bluetooth Power to Off when it is not in use. It will not pair with devices until you set Bluetooth Power back to On.

Bluetooth24Pair with a handsfree deviceBefore you try to pair your phone with a device, make sure your phone’s Bluetooth Power is On and the device is on and ready in pairing or bonding mode. 1Put the device (handsfree headset, stereo headset, car kit, etc.) in pairing mode.2Touch My devices > Search new device. Your phone can search and list the devices it has found within range.3Select the device from the list, and then touch Connect. If prompted, enter the device passkey and touch .Send objects to another deviceYou can use Bluetooth pairing to send contacts, tasks, calendar items, audioes, pictures, videoes, and voice notes from your phone to another device. 1Select the object you want to send.2Touch Options > Send> Via Bluetooth.3Select the device from the list, then sending will automatically start.4To cancel sending an item, touch Cancel.

Therefore:•Do not dry a wet or damp battery with an appliance or heat source, such as a hair dryer or microwave oven.•Avoid leaving your phone in your car in high temperatures.DOs• Do avoid dropping the battery or phone. Never expose batteries to temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F) when charging.•New batteries are not fully charged.•New batteries or batteries stored for a long time may take more time to charge.•Motorola batteries and charging systems have circuitry that protects the battery from damage from overcharging.Specific Absorption Rate (ICNIRP)SAR (ICNIRP)Your model wireless phone meets international guidelines for exposure to radio waves:Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed to not exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health, and to account for any variations in measurements. The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The ICNIRP SAR limit for mobile devices used by the general public is 2 watts per kilogram (W/kg), and the CE MAX SAR value for this mobile device when tested at the head is 0.707 mW/10g and the FCC MAX SAR value for this mobile device when tested at the head is 1.32 mW/g . As mobile devices offer a range of functions, they can be used in other positions, such as on the body as described in this guide. In this case, the tested CE MAX SAR value is 0.733 mW/10g and the tested FCC MAX SAR value is 1.46 mW/g. The tests are carried out in accordance with international guidelines for testing. The SAR information includes the Motorola testing protocol, assessment procedure, and measurement uncertainty range for this product.As SAR is measured utilizing the mobile device’s highest transmitting power, the
