To unpair a paired the Bluetooth® device, select the device in the [Delete] screen.

ĄIntroduction
The BHA-L UNIT is an adapter that connects a Bluetooth® device to a multifunctional telephone.
The table below lists the type of device that can be connected to the BHA-L UNIT and the functions sup-
ported by it.
ĄImportant
ûThis product features built-in radio equipment that operates on the entire band of
2.4 to 2.4835 GHz. Bands in which mobile stations are identified can be avoided.
The product supports the FH-SS modulation method and an interfering distance of
80m. It is labeled with a mark to designate these characteristics as shown at right.
ûThe working frequency band of this device is shared by industrial, scientific and medical equipment,
such as microwave ovens, premises radio stations that are typically used in manufacturing lines at
plants for mobile identification (radio stations that require licensing) and specified low-power radio sta-
tions (license-free radio stations).

Press the headset call (call control) key twice briefly and per-
form a dialing operation from the telephone.

Answering terminating calls
Press the headset call (call control) key while a call termi-
nates with a ring tone.
※The headset call control key allows you to only originate
calls from the headset and answer terminating calls.
Any other headset-specific functions are not supported.
※The handset cannot be used while you are talking with the
Bluetooth® headset on. You cannot switch to the Bluetooth®
headset to use while you are using the handset, either.

A headset with built-in Bluetooth
®
supporting the HFP/HSP profiles can be connected to the BHA-L UNIT.

The receiver volume can be controlled with the multifunctional telephone (the cursor up and down
keys or the volume key).

Whether the functions mentioned above work or not depends on the destination system. For more
details, refer to the use’s guide that comes with the destination system.

The ways you originate calls from the Bluetooth® headset and answer terminating calls may vary
depending on the type of device you use.

▼Mounting Procedure
Follow the steps below to attach the BHA-L UNIT to the bottom-unit connector on the back of the multi-
functional telephone. If the telephone is furnished with various cables, remove these cables first.
1Turn over the telephone.
2Lower the tilt legs to the first level.
3Release lugs a and b on the stopper
from grooves A and B in the tilt legs
and widen the tilt legs.
4Remove the connector cover (rubber)
from the bottom unit connector.
5Attach the BHA-L UNIT to the tele-
phone connector while pushing the
claws on both sides of the unit.
6Replace the tilt legs in original position.
The installation of the BHA-L UNIT is complete.

Pairing a Bluetooth
®
Device with a Multifunctional Telephone with Each Other
Invoke the Bluetooth® screen from a multifunctional telephone menu and register the Bluetooth® head-
set with the BHA-L UNIT.
For more details on working with the menu, refer to the user's guide or other documentation that comes
with your system.

Invoke the Bluetooth® screen in one of the following methods:
◆Digital multifunctional telephone
・If the BHA-L UNIT is connected to an Aspire X:
Press menu keys > [5. Optional Devices] > [1. Bluetooth].
・If the BHA-L UNIT is connected to a PBX (other than Aspire X):
Press menu keys > [3. Setup] > [5. Optional Devices] > [1. Bluetooth].
◆IP multifunctional telephone
・If the BHA-L UNIT is connected to an Aspire X:
Press menu keys > [1. Terminal Setup] > [7. Optional Devices] > [1. Bluetooth].
・If the BLH-L UNIT is connected to a PBX (other than Aspire X):
Press menu keys > [1. Terminal Setup] > [1. User Setup] > [4. Optional Devices] > [1. Bluetooth].
<Entering a PIN Code>
In pairing a Bluetooth® device having a PIN Code other than 0000, enter a string of 4 to 16 digits to suit
that device.
<Pairing>
Up to 8 Bluetooth® devices located around the BHA-L UNIT are located, among which select a device
want to pair with the device.
<Connecting to the Paired Device>
Enable the Bluetooth® device. Select [2. Enable] in the connection screen.
・Only one BHA-L UNIT can be mounted per telephone.
・The BHA-L UNIT cannot be mounted on the economy multifunctional telephone (DTL-2E-1) and the
cordless terminal (DTL-24BT-1).
Removing the BHA-L UNIT
Lift off the BHA-L UNIT while pushing the claws on both sides of the unit.

After pairing a Bluetooth® device, be sure to configure its connection to enable it. If connected setting is
not done,the Bluetooth® device that does the pairing cannot be used.
