Explanation of remote control buttons
The remote control buttons have different functions depending on the active mode. To change the mode, press the desired
button on the right side of the panel (Input/Output mode select buttons).
To check which mode is selected, just press any button other than the Input/Output select buttons and the active mode will light
up.

About R2-D2 sound (R2-D2 sounds are emitted by a special internal speaker inside R2-D2): When
the power is ON, etc., R2-D2 sounds will be made automatically. Also, R2-D2 sounds can be
made by pressing the R2-D2 sounds button. Each time the button is pressed, R2-D2 sounds are
randomly played.

Broadcasting sound with FM transmitter
Use the “FM transmitter” to broadcast FM signal and play R2-D2 audio through component stereos and FM
radios.

Caution
POINT
Due to the broadcast output power limited by
law, the distance from which you can listen
at a good sound quality is limited.
POINT
The speaker sound from R2-D2 is still ON
although the FM transmitter is broadcasting.
To turn off the sound from R2-D2, refer to
page 28 under ‘mute’.
For the best FM signal reception from an FM transmission signal of R2-D2, use an indoor FM antenna
instead of external FM outdoor antenna and/or cable TV line.
Turn OFF the SPDIF of DVD when using FM transmitter. Refer to page 69.
