MYOENO SCAN
Instructions:
1. Press the button on the top of the
product. A light will flash in the slot at the
bottom of the product.
2. Using your smartphone, launch the
MYOENO application.
3. After creating your user account,
click the “TEST A WINE” icon.
4. A Bluetooth activation request will
appear. Accept it. A green checkmark will
appear in the “BLUETOOTH® ACTIVE” icon.
5. The first time you connect your
smartphone to MyOeno Scan, click on the
icon at the top right of the screen. A list of
nearby Bluetooth® devices will appear. If it
does not appear, click “SEARCH”.
6. Select your MyOeno Scan, shown as
MYOENO-XXXXX. When the connection is
established, a checkmark will appear in the
“CONNECTED DEVICE” icon.
7. When the device is connected, it will
calibrate automatically (succession of
green, red, and blue colors), then the light
will remain green.
Please note, if the MyOeno Scan slot turns
yellow and starts to recalibrate, you are in
an environment with too much and/or
changing light. To avoid this, set down your
MyOeno Scan and position it so that it is
not exposed to direct and/or unstable light.
8. When the scan light is solid green,
dip the device’s slot completely into the
wine. The measurement is performed
automatically.
Please note, if the immersion lasts more
than five (5) seconds, the measurement
conditions are not optimal (the
environment has too much and/or
changing light). Be careful not to move
your MyOeno Scan around in your glass
and do not expose it to direct and/or
unstable light.
9. When the MyOeno Scan slot is fully
immerged for a few seconds, the triangle
that characterizes the wine will appear on
your smartphone, and you can remove
MyOeno Scan from the wine. Please note,
you must have an internet connection and
you need to have completed all the wine
identification fields in order to “CONFIRM”
your tasting form. If you do not have the
information required to fill in all of the
fields (Domain, Vintage, Country, Region
Designation), enter “--“.
10. Press the button to turn off the
product, or return to step 3 to test another
wine.
Recharging:
If the MyOeno Scan starts flashing red, it
needs to be recharged using the USB cable
provided. As it recharges, MyOeno Scan
flashes green. When the charge is
complete, the light is solid green.
In the “TEST A WINE” function, when the
connection is established, the MyOeno
Scan battery level is indicated at the
bottom right of the screen.
Maintenance/Cleaning:
We recommend that you clean your
MyOeno Scan after every use by immersing
it in a glass of water. Do not clean your
MyOeno Scan with abrasive material or
solvents.
Before turning on the MyOeno Scan, make
sure that the slot (measuring area) is clean
and dry using the microfiber cloth
provided. This ensures proper
calibration, and reliable and reproducible
measurements.
