Main Settings MenuAdjusting the DisplayPage 8MX-980 OWNERS MANUALDISPLAY- Press this setting button toadjust the screen and  button backlight-ing. The longer your screen is lit, themore frequently you’ll need to chargethe MX-980.SOUND - Adjust the volume of thesounds your MX-980 makes when youpress buttons.SYSTEM - These settings are for serviceuse. For diagnostic purposes, an installercan turn off the Pick Up sensor, displayremaining battery charge and erase allprogramming permanently.  Some of thismenu may have been disabled by yourinstaller as a safety measure.INFORMATION -  Adjust the time, dateor you can display the amount of mem-ory available and the version number ofthe firmware loaded into your MX-980.BACKLIGHT - Specify how long theMX-980 screen should stay lit after youpress a button. You can select two dif-ferent time out settings. One for when itis hand held, another for when it is inthe charging base.BRIGHT - Adjust the brightness of thescreen.BUTTON LIGHT - Turn the backlightingfor all buttons on or off. When on, allthe buttons backlight so that you canread their labels in total darkness.

Thiscan be disabled for diagnostic purposes.FACTORY DEFAULT - WARNING!This setting is for service use. Yourinstaller can erase all programming per-manently, before downloading yourconfiguration back into the MX-980 viahis/her PC. This button may have beendisabled by your installer as a safetymeasure.

Universal Remote Control will, at its soleoption, repair the product using new or comparable rebuilt parts, orexchange the product for a comparable new or rebuilt product. In theevent of a defect, these are your exclusive remedies.This Limited Warranty covers only the hardware components packaged withthe Product.
