• Bar hangers attach to octagon or square
boxes through center 1/2" knockouts
• Remove the knockout
• Remove the screw and fixture stud (or
clip) from bar hanger
• Place the stud inside the box and
replace the screw
• When box is located accurately between
the joists, tighten the screw securely
