Beams Step Light
1. Connect your
Step Light.
Download the Ring app.
The app walks you through setting up and managing your
Step Light.
Search for “Ring” in one of the app stores below, or visit:
ring.com/app
Download from
Windows Store
Set up your Ring Beams Bridge.
The Bridge connects your Ring Beams lights to
the rest of your Ring system. Your Bridge must
be up and running before you set up your Step Light.
To set up your Bridge, follow the instructions in the Ring
app or Bridge user manual.
Insert the batteries.
Remove the screws from
the back, and lift off the
battery lid.
Set up your Step Light
in the Ring app.
In the app, tap
Set Up a Device.
Doorbells
When prompted, select
Beams and follow the inapp instructions.
Security Cams
Chimes
Beams
Alarm
Insert three C-cell
batteries.
2. Install your Step Light.
Push the lid back onto
your Step Light, and
secure it with the screws
you removed.
Use the lid as a template
to mark the screw
locations.
Your Step Light detects motion best when
mounted ~2 feet above the ground.
Drive the two mounting
screws, leaving ~1/4”
exposed.
Place your Step Light
over the mounting
screws, then push
downward to lock it in
place.
