BAND: Band button will toggle between FM1, FMZ, FM3,AM1, and AMZ. Each band will allow the user
to store 6 preset radio station for quick access, This is useful for areas where 6 presets are not enough. It
Is also useful for drivers that drive to different areas and can benefit from setting bands for different
cities.
AST: this is an auto tuning option. Pressing this button will scan radio stations and set the current band's
6 presets based on the stations with the strongest signal,
P.SCAN: the P,scan button will scan through your preset stations playing a short amount of content
before changing to the next. Pressing the button again will stop the scan on the station currently
playing.
Tune up or down: these buttons wiII tune stations one increment at a time.
Seek up or down: these buttons will seek through stations playing only the stations that tune in clearly.

How to set a station to preset.
Setting a selected station to a preset is simple. See the steps below.
Tune the station you would like with either the seek or tune buttons.
Press and hold the preset button where you would like the station stored,
Once you see the station listed in the location you are done.

Main Control Interface
This section will help you get the most out of your lngenix source unit’s media playback. Take
some time to familiarize yourselfwith buttons located on the main control interface. While
the interface is quite intuitive it may take some time to understand all the options available at
your fingertips.
~The main control interface is located on the bottom half of the screen.
- Pressing the large play button will pause playback. Pressing the button again will resume
playback.
- Pressing "Next track” will skip ahead in your playlist.
~ Pressing “Previous track" will skip back in your playlist.
~ Press "stop button” to stop music playback.
~ Pressing the“mute” button will mute the playback.
~ Press the"mute" button again to resume the volume level. Pressing the volume up or down
will also resume the volume level.
- Press the ”volume up" button to increase volume and "volume down" button to decrease
volume
~ Volume level will be displayed between the volume up and down buttons.
~The playback button has three steps

0 Pressing the ”File manager” button will access the file manager. see the section labeled
”Creating and accessing a playlist” below.
0 Press the playlist button to access your current playlist. In this menu you can directly skip to a
song in your playlist for playback. Touch the up or down buttons to move through your playlist.
You can also touch the slider to move through your playlist faster. Press the ”X“ on the upper
right side to exitthe playlist.
Creating and accessing a playlist
lo create a playlistfor listen you mustnrstaccess the files you Wish to add.
Press the "File search” button.
Select files in the folder to create your playlist.
Highlighted files will be included in the playlist.
You can also press "Select all“ to selectall files in the folder.
To save music to a playlist all songs must be in the same folder,
Files can be moved to differentfolders to allow for larger playlists.

0 The E0 icon will access the equalizer options. There are ten Equalizer presets as well as two
user presets
0 Press any desired Equalizer preset to adjustthe different sound options.
0 When finished press the X on the top right ofthe equalizer window to return to the music player.
Equalizer user presets
0 User presets can be set at any desired levels and will automatically save for future use.
0 To set a user preset first select either ”User 1” or ”User 2” then adjust the equalizer band by
pressing the level you desire. To increase the frequency press a higher point to decrease press a
lower p 'nt.
0 When finished press the X on the top right ofthe equalizer window to return to the music player.

0 The main display shows information about the media you are listening to.
0 Song title and track numberwill be displayed atthe top ofthe screen.
0 Album art will be dis played in the center of the sc reen for the current, previous, and next track.
0 Time status bar is located atthe bottom ofthe main window.
0 Time played will be displayed on the leftand totaltrack time is displayed on the right,
0 Pressing the time status barwill allow for skipping to any pointon the track.

Eitherthe spectrum analyzer or file captions can be displayed.
Spectrum analyzer will display a graph showing frequency responses from the music playing.
Lower frequencies are to the left while higher frequencies are to the right.
The Caption option is the second option which will display text information from the file currently
Dlayinq ifthe file contains supported information. Ex: sonq title, artist etc.
Dis play options
It is possible to change the colors of both the spectrum analyzer andthe Text ofCaptions.
Press the “Music player color options” to access display options.
The spectrum analyzer has three color options. Blue, Violet, and emerald.
Caption text has five color options, Yellow, Blue, Red, Black, and White.
Touch the button with current color list to cycle through the other color options.
Pull down menu in the Music player source
When the Music player source is started Ingenix will determine ifNavigation is running.
IfNaVigatron is running the small Music player menu WI|| display in the upper right hand
side ofthe screen.
This window will allow you to access the controls of your S D,US B, or hard drive device
without leaving the navigation screen.
Pressing the down arrow on the menu will enlarge the window and display full control
overthe Music Player functions.
The PIP button in the small Music Player menu will run Music Player in full screen.
While in the Music Player screen the Navigation PIP bumn will switch between the Music
Player and navigation sources.
Pressing the PIP button on the lower section ofthe Music Player source will switch to
Navigation and display the small Music Player menu in the upper right hand side.
All other pull down buttons have standard function as listed in the page 14.

Sta rting the Video player
The firsttrme the video player rs started Ingenrx wrll ask for a file to play,
0 Select the file from the file access menu. First select the media the file rs located on (S D,
HDD, USB ).
o Nextselect the folder the file in inside (ifthe file is not already viewable)
- La st select the file and press the Play butlurr.
From thattime on whenthe video player is selected Ingenix will play the file from the last position
viewed.
Creating and accessing a playlist
To create a playlistfor listen you mustfirstaccess the files you wish to add.
Press the "File searchubutton.
S elect files in the folder to create your pla ylist.
Highlighted files will be included in the playlist.
You can also press "5 electall"to select all files in the folder.
To save files to a playlistall files must be in the same folder.
Note: ifthe file is removed from the drive Ingenix will not play the file upon start up

Repeat: Repeat will select between 3 modes listed below
Repeat all ; will repeat all tracks
Repeat: will repeat the current track
Random: will randomly select tracks from your playlistto playback
Video slice operation
Vldeo slice allows the user to view a selected portion ofa video file.To select the portion
desired press the "A»B” button at the start of videoportion desired during playback To com-
plete the selection press the"A-B" button at the end of the desired video portion during
playback. Once completed the video will play only the sliced portion. Press "A—B" once more for
normal playback.

0 the display tab allows the user to choose which screen is loaded during system start up,
0 If Last is selected the Iastsource thatwas running will be loaded at system start up

0 Press the La nguage button to switch between English or S panish.
Note: Icons will remain English when any language is selected.
Rea r Monitor 5 et up
0 Press the Rea r Monitor 5 et up bumn to begin set up.
0 The R ear monitor menu allows the user to change position and size ofthe image on the
external monitor if needed.
0 Position will allow the user to move the image to a different location on the external
monitor.
0 Press the up, down, left, and rightarrow to move the image to the desired location.
0 S ize will allow the userto change the shape and size ofthe image.
0 Press the l or bumns atthe upper or lower partofthe interface to increase or
decrea se the height of the image
0 Press the + or - buttons on the left or right of the interface to increase or decrease the
width ofthe image.
Note: Changing the size and shape excessively can cause display issues.
If this happens, press "reset” to return to factory default settings.
LCD Close
The ”LCD Close"optlon allows you to select wheter or not the monitor will
open/close each time the key is turned on/off.

The 0n/Off button to the right allows the user to see the brightness setting at day or night.
Manual
0 The manual setting allows the user to select the desired brightness at any time,
. Pres s the left arrow to dim the screen and the right arrow to increase brightness.
The On/Off button to the right allows the user to defeat the Automatic dimmer feature.
Automatic
0 The Automatic Dimmer options tab allows the userto set times for the brightness to
change.
0 S elect the time you wish the dimmer to adjust in the upper location
0 Selectthe brightness ofthe screen adjustment in the location directiy below the time
0 The first setting will affect the brightness in the morning and should be set to
approximately the same time as sunrise.

Source level streen:
The source level screen allows you to adjust the base volume level of eight sources. this
helps to balance the sources to the same standard volume level.

Music Field:
The Music field allows you to set balance and fader as well as a few other sound controls.
Sub X-over allows you to chose from four positions, three low pass X»0ver settings and off. This control will
only effect devices connected to the subwoofer output.
Buzzer allows you to turn on and off the sound response when buttons are pushed
Loud turns on/off the loud feature. This feature enhances lower and higher frequencies at low volume
levels. The effect diminishes as the volume increases.
Sub allows the user to control the volume level of the subwoofer directly. This control will only effect
devices connected to the subwoofer output,
