Introduction
The Bluetooth™ Noise Shield Handsfree VH700 can be
connected to any device with Bluetooth wireless technology
that supports the headset or headset profile. This User
guide focuses on use with a Sony Ericsson mobile phone.
Charging
Before using the headset for the first time, you need to
charge it with the supplied charger for 8 hours. See
illustration 2. The normal charging time is 2.5 hours. Use
Sony Ericsson chargers only.
Turning on and off
To turn on the headset
•Press and hold down until the indicator light shows a
steady green or red light. If the light is red, the headset
needs charging. After 3 seconds, the light turns off and
the headset is on.
To turn off the headset
•Press and hold down until the indicator light shows a
green or red light. If the light is red, the headset needs

charging. After 3 seconds, the light turns off and the
headset is off.
Pairing the headset
Pairing the headset with a phone
To use the headset with a phone, you need to pair the
headset with the phone. After successful pairing, the
headset connects automatically to the phone as soon as
the headset is turned on and within range.
To pair the headset with a phone
1Make sure the headset is turned off.
2Turn on the Bluetooth function in the phone. For
instructions, see the phone User guide.
3Turn on Bluetooth visibility in the phone. This makes the
phone visible to other Bluetooth devices.
4Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) of the headset.
5Press and hold down on the headset for about 5
seconds until the indicator light flashes green and red
alternately.
6Auto pairing in your phone: When asked to add the
VH700, follow the instructions that appear.
7Normal pairing in your phone: Search for and add a new
device.
8If a passcode is required, enter 0000.
Pairing the headset with another phone
To use the headset with another phone, you need to pair
the headset with the phone. After successful pairing, the
headset connects automatically to the phone as soon as

Multipoint
With this feature, you can use the headset with two different
phones at the same time. Before you use this feature, you
need to enable it.
To enable the multipoint feature
1Make sure the headset is turned off.
2Press and hold down on the headset until the indicator
light flashes green and red alternately.
3Multipoint mode: Press and hold down the plus sign on
the volume key. Two orange flashes on the indicator light
shows that multipoint has been enabled.
4Singlepoint mode: Press and hold down the minus sign
on the volume key. One orange flash on the indicator light
shows that singlepoint has been enabled.
When the headset is in multipoint mode, you cannot
answer a second call on the same phone.

Introducción
El manos libres Bluetooth™ con protección antirruido VH700
se puede conectar a cualquier dispositivo que disponga de
la tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth y sea compatible con el

Carga
Antes de utilizar el auricular por primera vez, es necesario que

Transferring sound
To transfer the sound from the headset to the phone
•See Transferring sound to and from a Bluetooth
handsfree in the phone User guide.
To transfer the sound from the phone to the headset
•During a call on the phone, press the call handling key
briefly.
Battery
A battery that has been infrequently used, or a new one,
could have reduced capacity. You may need to recharge it
a number of times. When the battery level is low, the
indicator light flashes red and you hear a low beep. If you
do not charge the headset, it turns off after 10 minutes.
Resetting the headset
Reset the headset if it behaves unexpectedly. Resetting the
headset removes all information about paired devices.
To reset the headset
•Press and hold down for 10 seconds.
To reset the headset to factory settings
•Simultaneously press and hold down and the call
handling key during pairing mode.
Troubleshooting
Redial does not work
•Make sure the call list in the phone is not empty.
•Make sure the correct calling device is selected.

Calling
To make a call
•Dial the number using the phone keys. The call is
automatically activated in the headset.
To end a call
•Press the call handling key briefly.
To answer a call
•A beep indicates an incoming call. Press the call handling
key briefly.
To reject a call
•Press and hold down the call handling key until you hear
a short beep (after 2 seconds).
To re-dial a number
•Double-click the call handling key.
To answer a second call
•Press the call handling key. The ongoing call is put on
hold.
To switch between two calls
•Press and hold down the call handling key until you hear
a beep.
To mute the microphone during a call
•Press both volume keys simultaneously. A beep indicates
that the microphone has been muted. To turn on the
microphone again, press both volume keys
simultaneously.
To change the ear speaker volume
•During a call, press a volume key.

•Make sure your phone or other device supports the
Bluetooth handsfree profile.
The headset is automatically turned off
•The battery level is too low. You hear a beep
approximately 10 minutes before the headset turns off.
Charge the battery.
•The headset turns off if you do not pair it with the phone
within 10 minutes.
Unexpected behaviour
•Reset the headset.
No connection to the phone
Make sure the headset is charged and within range of the
phone. We recommend a maximum distance of 10 metres
(33 feet) with no solid objects in between. Check or reset
the Bluetooth settings in the phone. Pair the headset with
the phone again.

Einführung
Die Bluetooth™-Freisprecheinrichtung mit
Geräuschunterdrückung VH700 kann mit jedem Gerät mit der
Funktechnologie Bluetooth verbunden werden, sofern es das
Profil „Headset“ oder „Handsfree“ unterstützt. Diese
Bedienungsanleitung beschreibt in erster Linie die Nutzung mit
einem Mobiltelefon von Sony Ericsson.
Laden
Vor der ersten Benutzung muss das Headset mit dem
mitgelieferten Ladegerät 8 Stunden geladen werden. Beachten

Koppeln des Headsets mit einem Telefon
Damit Sie das Headset mit einem Telefon verwenden können,
müssen Sie es mit diesem Telefon koppeln. Nach der Kopplung
stellt das Headset die Verbindung zum Telefon automatisch her,
sofern es eingeschaltet ist und sich in Reichweite befindet.
So koppeln Sie das Headset mit einem Telefon:
1Das Headset muss ausgeschaltet sein.
2Schalten Sie die Bluetooth-Funktion des Telefons ein.
Weitere Informationen finden Sie in der
Bedienungsanleitung des Telefons.
3Schalten Sie die Bluetooth-Sichtbarkeit im Telefon ein.
Dadurch wird das Telefon für andere Bluetooth-Geräte
sichtbar.

Multipointbetrieb
Diese Funktion erlaubt die gleichzeitige Nutzung des Headsets
mit zwei Telefonen. Sie müssen diese Funktion aktivieren, um sie
nutzen zu können.
So aktivieren Sie die Funktion „Multipoint“:
1Das Headset muss ausgeschaltet sein.
2Drücken und halten Sie am Headset, bis die
Anzeigeleuchte abwechselnd grün und rot blinkt.
3Multipointmodus: Drücken und halten Sie das
Pluszeichen auf der Lautstärketaste. Zwei orange
Blinksignale der Anzeigeleuchte melden, dass die
Funktion „Multipoint“ aktiviert wurde.
4Singlepointmodus: Drücken und halten Sie das
Minuszeichen auf der Lautstärketaste. Ein oranges
Blinksignal der Anzeigeleuchte meldet, dass die Funktion
„Singlepoint“ aktiviert wurde.
Wenn das Headset sich im Multipointmodus befindet,
können Sie einen zweiten Anruf an demselben Telefon
annehmen.
Anrufen
So tätigen Sie einen Anruf:
•Wählen Sie die Nummer mit den Tasten des Telefons. Der
Anruf wird automatisch zum Headset übertragen.
So beenden Sie einen Anruf:
•Drücken Sie kurz die Anruftaste.
So nehmen Sie einen Anruf an:
•Ein Tonsignal meldet einen ankommenden Anruf.
Drücken Sie kurz die Anruftaste.

Anruf abweisen
•Drücken und halten Sie die Anruftaste, bis Sie ein kurzes
Tonsignal hören (nach 2 Sekunden).
So verwenden Sie die Wahlwiederholung:
•Drücken Sie zweimal kurz die Anruftaste.
So nehmen Sie einen zweiten Anruf an:
•Drücken Sie die Anruftaste. Der aktive Anruf wird auf
Halteposition gesetzt.
So wechseln Sie zwischen zwei Anrufen:
•Drücken und halten Sie die Anruftaste, bis Sie ein
Tonsignal hören.
So schalten Sie das Mikrofon während eines Anrufs stumm:
•Drücken Sie gleichzeitig beide Lautstärketasten. Ein
Tonsignal meldet, dass das Mikrofon stumm geschaltet
wurde. Drücken Sie beide Lautstärketasten gleichzeitig,
um das Mikrofon wieder einzuschalten.
So ändern Sie die Lautstärke im Ohrhörer:
•Drücken Sie während eines Anrufs eine Lautstärketaste.
Tonübertragung
So übertragen Sie den Ton vom Headset zum Telefon:

Pour transférer le son du téléphone à l’oreillette
•Pendant un appel sur le téléphone, appuyez brièvement

Batterie
Une batterie qui n’est pas régulièrement utilisée ou qui est neuve
peut présenter une capacité réduite. Il est possible que vous
deviez la recharger plusieurs fois. Quand le niveau de la batterie
est faible, le voyant clignote en rouge et vous entendez un faible
signal sonore. Si vous ne rechargez pas l’oreillette, elle se met
automatiquement hors tension après 10 minutes.
Réinitialisation de l’oreillette
Réinitialisez l’oreillette si elle se comporte de manière inattendue.
La réinitialisation de l’oreillette supprime toutes les informations
relatives aux périphériques jumelés.
Pour réinitialiser l’oreillette
•Maintenez enfoncée la touche pendant 10 secondes.
Pour rétablir les paramètres d'usine de l'oreillette
•Maintenez simultanément enfoncées la touche et la
touche de gestion des appels en mode de jumelage.
Dépannage
La renumérotation ne fonctionne pas

Pour répondre à un appel
•Un signal sonore indique la présence d’un appel entrant.
Appuyez brièvement sur la touche de gestion des appels.
Pour rejeter un appel
•Maintenez enfoncée la touche de gestion des appels
jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez un bip court (après 2
secondes).
Pour recomposer un numéro
•Double-cliquez sur la touche de gestion des appels.
Pour répondre à un deuxième appel
•Appuyez sur la touche de gestion des appels. L’appel en
cours est mis en attente.
Pour permuter deux appels
•Maintenez enfoncée la touche de gestion des appels
jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez un bip.
Pour couper le micro durant un appel
•Appuyez simultanément sur les deux touches de volume.
Un bip confirme que le micro est coupé. Pour réactiver le
micro, appuyez simultanément sur les deux touches de
volume.
Pour modifier le volume de l’écouteur
•Pendant un appel, appuyez sur une touche de volume.
Transfert du son
Pour transférer le son de l’oreillette au téléphone
•Reportez-vous à la section Transfert de son vers/depuis
un mains libres Bluetooth du Guide de l’utilisateur du
téléphone.

Multipoint
Cette fonction vous permet d'utiliser simultanément l'oreillette
avec deux téléphones différents. Avant d'utiliser cette fonction,
vous devez l'activer.
Pour activer la fonction multipoint
1Assurez-vous que l’oreillette est hors tension.
2Maintenez enfoncée la touche de l'oreillette jusqu'à ce
que le témoin clignote alternativement en vert et rouge.
3Mode multipoint : Maintenez enfoncé le signe plus de la
touche de volume. Le témoin clignote deux fois en orange
pour indiquer que le mode multipoint est activé.
4Mode monopoint : Maintenez enfoncé le signe moins de
la touche de volume. Le témoin clignote une fois en
orange pour indiquer que le mode monopoint est activé.
Quand l'oreillette est en mode multipoint, vous ne pouvez
pas répondre à un deuxième appel sur le même téléphone.
Appel
Pour émettre un appel
•Composez le numéro à l’aide des touches du téléphone.
L’appel est automatiquement activé sur l’oreillette.
Pour terminer un appel
•Appuyez brièvement sur la touche de gestion des appels.

Pour jumeler l’oreillette avec un téléphone
1Assurez-vous que l’oreillette est hors tension.
2Activez la fonction Bluetooth sur le téléphone. Pour plus

3Activez la visibilité Bluetooth sur le téléphone. Le
téléphone est alors visible par les autres dispositifs
Bluetooth.
4Placez le téléphone à moins de 20 cm (8 pouces) de
l’oreillette.
5Maintenez enfoncée la touche de l'oreillette pendant
5 secondes environ jusqu'à ce que le témoin clignote
alternativement en vert et rouge.
6Jumelage automatique sur votre téléphone : Lorsque
vous êtes invité à ajouter le VH700, suivez les instructions
qui apparaissent.
7Jumelage normal sur votre téléphone: Recherchez ou
ajoutez un nouvel appareil.
8Si un code d’accès est nécessaire, saisissez 0000.
Jumelage de l’oreillette avec un autre téléphone
Pour utiliser l’oreillette avec un autre téléphone, vous devez la
jumeler avec celui-ci. Quand le jumelage a réussi, l’oreillette se
connecte automatiquement au téléphone dès qu’elle est mise
sous tension et qu’elle est à la portée de celui-ci.

Ungewöhnliches Verhalten
•Setzen Sie das Headset zurück.
Keine Verbindung zum Telefon
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Headset geladen ist und sich in
Reichweite des Telefons befindet. Es empfiehlt sich eine
Entfernung von maximal 10 m (33 Fuß). In der Sichtlinie zwischen
den Geräten sollten sich keine festen Gegenstände befinden.
Überprüfen Sie die Bluetooth-Einstellungen im Telefon, oder
setzen Sie sie zurück. Koppeln Sie das Headset erneut mit dem
Telefon.

Akku
Ein neuer oder nur selten benutzter Akku kann eine reduzierte
Kapazität aufweisen. Er muss dann einige Male geladen werden.
Bei niedrigem Akkuladestand blinkt die Anzeigeleuchte.
Außerdem wird ein tiefer Signalton ausgegeben. Das Headset
wird nach 10 Minuten ausgeschaltet, wenn Sie es nicht laden.
Zurücksetzen des Headsets
Setzen Sie das Headset zurück, wenn es sich ungewöhnlich
verhält. Beim Zurücksetzen des Headsets werden sämtliche
Informationen zu gekoppelten Geräten gelöscht.
So setzen Sie das Headset zurück:
•Drücken und halten Sie für 10 Sekunden.
So setzen Sie das Headset auf die Werkseinstellungen zurück:
•Drücken und halten Sie und die Anruftaste im
Kopplungsmodus gleichzeitig.
Fehlerbehebung
Wahlwiederholung funktioniert nicht
•Die Anrufliste im Telefon darf nicht leer sein.
•Stellen Sie sicher, dass das richtige Gerät für Telefonate

•Der Akku ist entladen. Sie hören ca. 10 Minuten, bevor
sich das Headset ausschaltet, einen Signalton. Laden
Sie den Akku.

innerhalb von 10 Minuten mit dem Telefon koppeln.

Introduction
L'oreillette anti-bruit Bluetooth™ VH700 peut être connectée à
n'importe quel appareil doté de la technologie sans fil Bluetooth
pour autant qu'il prenne en charge l'oreillette ou le profil oreillette.
Ce Guide de l'utilisateur s'attache plus particulièrement à
l'utilisation d'un téléphone mobile Sony Ericsson.
Chargement
Avant d’utiliser l’oreillette pour la première fois, vous devez la
charger pendant 8 heures à l’aide du chargeur fourni. Reportez-
vous à l'illustration 2. La durée d’une charge normale est de
2,5 heures. Utilisez uniquement des chargeurs Sony Ericsson.
Activation et désactivation
Pour mettre l’oreillette sous tension
•Maintenez enfoncée la touche jusqu'à ce que le témoin
s'allume en vert ou en rouge. Si le témoin est rouge,
l'oreillette doit être rechargée. Le témoin s'éteint après
3 secondes et l'oreillette se met sous tension.

•Maintenez enfoncée la touche jusqu'à ce que le témoin
s'allume en vert ou en rouge. Si le témoin est rouge,

Pour utiliser l’oreillette avec un téléphone, vous devez la jumeler
avec celui-ci. Quand le jumelage a réussi, l’oreillette se connecte

L’oreillette se met automatiquement hors tension.
•Le niveau de la batterie est trop faible. Vous entendez un
signal sonore environ 10 minutes avant que l’oreillette se
mette hors tension. Rechargez la batterie.
•L’oreillette se met hors tension si vous ne la jumelez avec
aucun téléphone dans les 10 minutes.
Comportement inattendu
•Réinitialisez l’oreillette.
Aucune connexion au téléphone
Vérifiez que l’oreillette est chargée et à portée du téléphone. Il
est conseillé d’observer une distance inférieure à 10 mètres
(33 pieds), sans aucun obstacle physique. Vérifiez ou réinitialisez
les paramètres Bluetooth sur le téléphone. Jumelez à nouveau
l’oreillette avec le téléphone.
