ENGLISHLITHIUM-ION BATTERIES SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSThe VGX uses a 12 volt Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery for DC operation. Please review the following safety instructions before use. Failure to read and follow the instructions below may result in re, personal injury, and damage to property if charged or used improperly. Please note that the battery must be fully charged prior to its initial use. Please observe the following precautions when using or handling the battery:• Do not dispose in re or expose to high temperature.• Do not under any circumstances insert the battery with the positive and negative poles reversed.• Do not directly connect the battery to power outlets or 12 volt automotive ports.• Do not connect the positive terminal with the negative terminal with metals such as wire, etc. Also, do not store or carry the battery with metal necklaces, etc.• Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protective devices which, if damaged, may cause the battery to generate heat, explode or ignite.• Do not directly solder the battery.• The battery contains a chemical liquid. If this liquid comes in contact with the eyes, this may lead to loss of sight. Using a Philips screwdriver, unscrew and remove battery cover 2. Connect the battery to the VG3 connector 3. Place battery so that it rests in the compartment and the wire fits into the plastic groove 4. Re-install battery cover TWS button. Blue and orange LEDs indicate current TWS state Power button. Bluetooth button Blue LED solid on, pulsates, or blinks to indicate current Bluetooth state. Charging battery Charge battery to full capacity before initial use. To ensure battery longevity and maximum performance of the system, the battery should always be charged prior to operation. 1. Connect the supplied Micro USB cable to any standard USB port, such as a computer or USB adapter. Insert USB cable with Soundcast logo facing up. 2. Battery levels are represented by green, yellow and red LEDs. 3. When low on power, the indicator LED will blink. VG3 Connecting and Pairing • For all Bluetooth and TWS functions the Aux input must be disconnected. Bluetooth Pairing with NFC 1. Enable Bluetooth and NFC functions on your phone 2. Hold phone over the NFC logo on VG3 until phone connects and Bluetooth LED blinks slowly 3. Press OK on your phone to connect 4. Play audio Standard Bluetooth Pairing 1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone 2. Pair a new device: Press the VG3 Bluetooth button (Bluetooth LED will blink slowly) 3. From Bluetooth menu on phone, select “VG3 by Soundcast’ 4. Once paired, the Bluetooth LED becomes solid. • Press Bluetooth button to reconnect to previously paired devices. LED will blink fast until connected. • To clear all devices from memory, press and hold the Bluetooth key for 10 seconds until the Bluetooth LED double-blinks. When the key is released, the Bluetooth LED will blink slowly. Aux Input Mode Plug external source into 3.5mm jack to automatically switch to Aux input mode, LED turns Yellow. Remove plug to switch back to Bluetooth. TrueWireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing With TWS, two VG3 units may be paired for synchronous Bluetooth play. On/off, volume, track controls and TWS Mode will be synced and may be controlled from either unit. 1. Both Speakers must be in Bluetooth Mode (no Aux input connected). 2. Press the TWS button on the first VG3 unit. You will hear a beep and 3 tones, and the TWS LED will start to blink slowly. Repeat with the second VG3 unit.

When paired, the TWS LED on both units will show solid blue. • When in TWS mode and you shut off one unit, the other unit will turn off automatically. • Reconnecting: The TWS-paired units will re-connect automatically, shortly after power-up. A short press of the TWS button on either unit allows cycling through the TWS modes (stereo, left/right, off) listed below: LED blue and orange: left/right from each speaker LED orange only: left from primary speaker, right from secondary speaker LED off: TWS off • To clear all devices from TWS memory, press and hold the TWS key for 10 seconds until the TWS LED double-blinks, then shut off the unit. When turning on the unit again, the TWS LED won’t be on since memory has been cleared. • No music or intermittent dropouts? VG3 primary and secondary units may be too far away from each other. Controlling Music 1. When using Bluetooth, you may use the Pause/Play button on VG3 to pause and play music. 2. Control volume by pressing the volume up and volume down buttons or press and hold for continuous adjustment. Speakerphone 1. If your phone receives a call while paired with VG3, press the play/pause/phone button to answer the call. VG3 will become a hands-free speakerphone. 2. When call is complete, press the play/pause button to end the call.
