Hearing Aid Compatibility European Economic Area This product is marked HAC showing compliance with the applicable requirements of FCC Part 68 and CS03-Part 5. The European variant is intended for use throughout the European Economic area, however authorization for use restricted as follows: Radio Frequency Interference Requirements for Home or Office Use This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device pursuant to Part 15 of the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) Rules and Regulation. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a residential environment. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If the equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • European standards dictate maximum radiated transmit power of 100 mW, EIRP and frequency range 2.400 2.4835 GHz • France, the equipment is to be restricted to the 2.4465 2.4835 GHz frequency range • Belgium outside, the equipment is to be restricted to the 2.460 - 2.4835 GHz frequency range • Operation in Italy requires a user license. Laser Devices (Only applies to Data Phone-4046) Symbol products using lasers comply with US 21 CFR1040.10, Subchapter J and IEC825/EN 60 825 (or IEC825-1/EN 60-825-1, depending on the date of manufacture). The laser classification is marked on one of the labels on the product. Class 1 Laser devices are not considered to be hazardous when used for their intended purpose. The following statement is required to comply with US and international regulations: Use of controls, adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous visible or invisible laser light exposure. Class 2 laser scanners use a low power, visible light diode. As with any very bright light source, such as the sun, the user should avoid staring directly into the light beam. Momentary exposure to a Class 2 laser is not known to be harmful. • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that which the receiver is connected. The majority of Symbol RF devices are type approved and do not require the user to obtain license or authorization before using the equipment. Any changes or modifications to Symbol Technologies equipment not expressly approved by Symbol Technologies could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Applying the Regulatory Country Stamp A regulatory label is applied in the battery compartment of the NetVision Phone. The regulatory label signifies that the NetVision Phone is approved for use in the following countries: • United States • Canada • Australia • Japan (approval pending) • Mexico (approval pending) • Europe Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. For approved countries other than those listed above, a sheet of adhesive country stamps may be enclosed within the NetVision Phone package. To Apply the Country Stamp: 1. Peel the stamp appropriate to the country where the NetVision Phone is used. 2. Apply the country stamp in the space provided on the regulatory label located in the battery compartment. Operation of the device without a regulatory label or the correct country stamp is illegal.
