IP-based telephone service uses control protocols such as the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Currently most SIP phones in the US market are based on embedded chips, e.g. SiTel and DSPG â their functionality is confined by the feature set of the chip vendor. Telefield can develop new features in software while developing the OS and hardware architectural layers independently and in parallel. ,QVWDOODWLRQ Power on IP phone, and connect it to your router/switch/hub/other operational Internet devices at WAN port by Ethernet cable. By default, the unit will get the IP address from the DHCP server. Also it is possible to connect PC to the LAN port, thus PC can be in the same network as the IP phone. After an absolute startup, you can add a SIP account and make/answer a VoIP call. *HWWLQJ VWDUW Âą z $GGLQJ D 6,3 DFFRXQW Press Settings > Account System > Add account. Then you can configure IP account Name, User Name, Server and Password. After successful registration, the icon will show in âGreenâ color. Otherwise it will show in grey color. You may also be able to activate/deactivate the account by pressing the icon once. Press and hold the icon , you are able to edit/delete the account accordingly. In addition, you can activate more than one SIP account on the unit. z 0DNLQJ D FDOO  Take a line at various modes: Handset Mode a. Lift the handset and dial the phone number. b. (To correct the number press âXâ icon) No more input after a few second, it will start for calling or just press âCallâ icon to c. dial out immediately. When you finish the call, press âEnd callâ or place the handset back to the cradle to drop the call. Speakerphone Mode a. Press the SPEAKER button and the Speaker LED will turn on. And dial the phone number. b. No more input after a few second, it will start for calling or just press âCallâ icon to dial out immediately. c. When you finish the call, press âEnd callâ icon or SPEAKER button again to drop the call and Speaker LED is off. Headset Mode a. Press the HEADSET button and the HEADSET LED will turn on. Then dial the phone number. b. No more input after a few second, it will start for calling or just press âCallâ icon to dial out immediately. c. When you finish the call, press the HEADSET button again to drop the call and the Headset LED goes off Note: 1) If headset is not plugged into the jack and HEADSET button is pressed, the Headset LED indicator also turn on.  Switching among modes a. Lift up the handset to switch from speakerphone mode or headset mode to handset mode. b. Press the SPEAKER button to switch from handset mode or headset mode to speakerphone mode. c. In handset mode, press the HEADSET button and replace the handset to the cradle. The unit will switch to headset mode. d. In speakerphone mode, press the HEADSET button to switch to headset mode. z $QVZHULQJ D FDOO When there is a call coming from the line a. Lift the handset (handset mode), OR b. Pressing the Speaker button or Answer icon (speakerphone mode), OR c. Pressing the HEADSET button z 3UH'LDOLQJ User can input dial digit, edit a number or press âRecentsâ icon etc. when unit is idle state. Check the number and then dial the number. a. Unit is at idle state. b. Manual input dial digits. (Press the âXâ icon to delete the last input digit.) Or c. Press the âContactsâ icon and search the phone book memory, select the number Or d. Press the âRecentsâ icon to select the call log memory and then select the number Or e. If the call put on-hold, you can make a 2nd call, or transfer the call to other party. Turn on this tone to hear a tone for incoming calls while you are on the telephone ž 5LQJHU 6RXQG This option allows you to set customizing ringing tone. ž 7RXFK 6RXQG The Audible touch tones options is used when you use the dialing pad or make a screen selection. Each time you press a key, make a selection, the selected tone sounds.  9ROXPH The Volume option allows you to change the volume for all phone sounds in one easy way. Touch and drag the slider to adjust the sound level for speaker, handset&headset and notifications.  'LVSOD\ ž %ULJKWQHVV This option allows you to set the Brightness percentage of the screen. ž 6OHHS This option allows you to set the time before the screen times and goes to turn off the backlight.  'DWH WLPH This menu allows you to change the current time and date displayed. Tap $XWRPDWLF GDWH WLPH to allow the network set the date and time. Tap Select time Zone to change the time zone area. There are two more options for 24-hour display format as well as date format. (The system will update daylight settings for corresponding time zone.)  %OXH7RRWK Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled headset. To turn Bluetooth on: From the Home screen, tap äŤ Settings äŤ Device äŤ Tap the Bluetooth On/Off button to activate/deactivate the feature. In Bluetooth settings menu allows you to set up : i. Select âCreate NEW Contactâ, you can add a record where you can entry Name, Phone number with appropriate Tag like Mobile, Home and so on. Just press âDoneâ or âBackâ icon to save the record. Adding the photo, each contact can add the photo. The user can select the photo from the external USB memory stick. Once the file is selected , the photo will copy to the internal contacts memory. In Contacts review screen, press and hold the record to delete/edit the contactâs record directly. 5HFHQWV Pressing âRecentsâ icon can review all incoming call history. Missed calls will be marked with Red Arrow symbol in âRecentsâ records.
