SSTEP TEP1: 1: CREATING YOUR WIRELESS KEYPAD PIN SECTION BASIC PROGRAMMING FOR ONE 1 DOOR CODEDODGERÂŽ OPENERS FOR CONVENIENCE Program Keypad BEFORE mounting. STEP 1: CREATING YOUR WIRELESS KEYPAD PIN (PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) s Press in order s Press in order Press PROGRAM . Enter your PIN (3 to 8 characters). Press PROGRAM . Close keypad cover and wait 30 seconds. STEP 2: PROGRAMMING MULTIPLE DOOR OPENERS All Door Openers will use the same PIN. On your keypad: s Enter your PIN and press PROGRAM . s Press PROGRAM again. s Press the number of Doors (total) you wish to control ( 2 or 3 ). s Press PROGRAM . s Enter your PIN (3 to 8 characters). s Press PROGRAM . s Close keypad cover and wait 30 seconds. STEP 2: PROGRAMMING SINGLE DOOR OPENER PROGRAM Press and hold (PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) s Press PROGRAM . ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss On your openerâs power head: s Select first opener and press and hold until both LEDs turn BLUE. s Release button. Only round LED will be BLUE. PROGRAM until both LEDs turn BLUE. SET PROGRAM PROGRAM and release again. Long LED should blink PURPLE. SET s On the Wireless Keypadâenter your PIN. s Press . LEDs will stay on solid. s Press again. LEDs will turn off. s Press again. Door opener should run. s Press any key to stop opener. (It will automatically stop at the fully open or fully closed position.) Wait until Keypad Backlight turns off (approximately 30 seconds). STEP 3: OPERATING ONE DOOR OPENER To open or close the Garage Door. s Enter your PIN. s Press Decide which Door will be Door #1,#2 and #3. On your Wireless Keypad: s Enter PIN and press s Press the number that you have picked for this door 1 or 3 times â opener will run. s Press s Repeat procedure below dotted line for remaining openers. Wait until Keypad Backlight turns off (approximately 30 seconds). STEP 3: OPERATING MULTIPLE DOOR OPENERS Following programmingâ On your Wireless Keypad: s Enter your PIN. s Press ADDITIONAL OPERATIONS CHANGING YOUR PIN s Enter your current PIN and press s Enter your NEW PIN and press PROGRAM PROGRAM NOTE s If the Door does not move,check the LED on Keypad. If the LED is blinking rapidly,the PIN was entered incorrectly. After the LED stops blinking,re-enter your PIN and try again. s Any Keypad Button will control the Door for 30 seconds after the Door starts moving. s Rapid blinking of the red LED indicates an error. USING A TEMPORARY PIN A temporary PIN allows temporary access to your home by repair persons, meter readers, etc.if you so desire. s Enter your current PIN and press PROGRAM s Enter your TEMPORARY PIN and press 3 times. PROGRAM NOTE DO NOT reprogram the Door Opener (s). s Temporary PIN remains active only until the next time your normal PIN is entered. FORGOT YOUR PIN (RESETTING WIRELESS KEYPAD) If you have forgotten your PIN or you fear it may have fallen into unauthorized hands, you must erase the old programming. s Press and hold PROGRAM s Press the number of the door you wish to operate 1 2 or 3 . s Wile holding 5 seconds. s Press any key to operate the door. s Release both buttons. You must now start from the beginning and reprogram your Wireless Keypad. NOTE Â2YHUKHDG'RRU&RUSRUDWLRQ SECTION SET ON THE OPENER ROUND LED The Keypad must be mounted in sight of the Door(s), at least 5 feet above the ground and clear of any moving Door parts. A Mount Keypad.(Mounting screws located inside Battery Compartment.) s Remove Battery Cover and batteries. (See Figure 3). s Drill a 1/16âpilot hole for the top mounting screw. s Install a screw into the drilled Figure 2 hole,leaving a 1/8" gap between the screw head and the wall. (See Figure 2.) Wall s Hook the Keypad over the screw. s Mark and drill pilot hole and fasten bottom screw. screw head gap s Install Batteries and Cover. s If the Door does not move,check the LED on Keypad. If the LED is blinking rapidly,the PIN was entered incorrectly. After the LED stops blinking,re-enter your PIN and try again. s Any Keypad Button will control the Door for 30 seconds after the Door starts moving. s Rapid blinking of the red LED indicates an error. In order to initially program an opener or openers which are CodeDodgerÂŽ1, you must switch the Keypad to CodeDodgerÂŽ1 mode. s After entering your PIN, Press for two seconds and the s Press and hold GREEN LED above the number keys will turn RED. s Close the Keypad cover. s Follow the instructions on this page for programming your CodeDodgerÂŽ 1 opener(s). SECTION PROGRAMMING FOR 2 OR 3 SECTION 2 DOOR CODEDODGERÂŽ OPENER 3 MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS PROGRAM Once all your doors have been programmed, there is no need to switch back and forth between CodeDodgerÂŽ modes. (The Located on Opener light lens may need to be Housing opened. If you use an external receiver, it may need to be opened to access the Learn Code Button and Indicator LED. Learn Code Button â If your Door Opener does not have an Antenna, you have an External Receiver. The External Receiver cover must be removed to access the Learn Code Button and Indicator LED. s Press PROGRAM again. s Enter your current PIN and press to control ( s Press PROGRAM or s Enter your NEW PIN and press ). again.
