WLS919 Testing the WLS919 Key When any key is pressed on the WLS919 to perform a function, its battery status is sent to the receiver. If the batteries are low, the Trouble light on your system’s keypads will turn ON. If this occurs, the key’s batteries must be replaced. Do not use a Fire, Auxiliary or Panic key to test your WLS919 unit as pressing these buttons will always notify your monitoring station of a non-medical emergency. Replacing the Batteries The WLS919 Wireless Key requires two lithium CR2032 batteries. To replace the batteries, open the key’s plastic housing by inserting a flathead screwdriver along the side of the unit and carefully twist the screwdriver to separate the top and bottom plastic. Once separated the batteries will be visible, simply remove the old batteries and insert the new ones. The polarity of the batteries must be observed, as shown in the diagram above. Wireless Key Available Model: WLS919-433 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The WLS919 wireless key allows you to arm and disarm your alarm system, as well as perform other keypad functions, from a unit small enough to keep in your pocket. Together with your installer, you can decide which functions you wish to have accessible from your portable key. To activate any one of the four selected functions, press and hold the appropriate button for two seconds. The functions will be etched on each button. These can be changed by the installer by placing labels on the button that needs to be changed. In no event shall Digital Security Controls Ltd. be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of anticipated profits, loss of time or any other losses incurred by the buyer in connection with the purchase, installation or operation or failure of this product. However, despite frequent testing, and due to, but not limited to, criminal tampering or electrical disruption, it is possible for this product to fail to perform as expected. The default functions are as follows: Stay Arming Press this button to arm your system in the Stay mode. All perimeter zones will be armed, such as all window and door contacts, but the interior zones will remain inactive, allowing you to stay on the premises without setting off an alarm. Away Arming Press this button to arm your system in the Away mode. Both the interior and exterior zones will be armed, allowing you to exit the premises. Disarm FCC COMPLIANCE STATEMENT CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Digital Security Controls Ltd. could void your authority to use this equipment.
